How do you feel about the vertical scrolling at the app drawer? I really don't like it. Some things are pretty nice with that update, but for me it make no sense...

Hi Notechis,
do you have OTA for Germany yet? HTC_102
It's ok for me ... I prefer the horizontal scrolling too, but I've put the apps on folders and now I have only one page on app drawer

Me i love the vertical

Folders in the app draw negates my issue with verticle scrolling which i'm also not a huge fan of.
Folders, folders, folders... we love folders lol
Not a fan of Vertical scroll at all ...and feel the Grize size 4 * 5 is too small...
it could have been 5 * 5 anyways the only thing I hate about sense 5 is the launcher so I moved to Nova which is always cool
It would be nice if the devs can make Horizontal scroll and possibly increase the grid size too
and one more thing do anyone find the font size a bit large even when set as small on sense launcher...????

It's only recent versions of sense that use horizontal scrolling in the app drawer. The original versions used vertical like sense 5....

My first android phone used vertical scrolling and as such that was what I got used to first so I prefer it.

There's a NewOfficial MIUI v4 GSM Thread in the General Forum. You might be able to get an answer over there.

Is that true that on sense 4.1 the background on the home isn't moving anymore while sliding through the pages? I think that it would be very disappointing in the case..

Yes no more scrolling
What about a multi picture background option? One that shuffles through images in an album during the day

this is very disappointing,,,I hope that developers can restore this feature...this is SENSEless, as gaining resources from this kind of things is ridiculous

My HTC one s with sense 4.0 and 4.1 has the background that moves while you pass front widget to another, this has been removed on sense 4+
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
I missed the scrolling wallpapers too.. With the Apex or Nova launcher (and problably some more) you can "restore" the scrolling wallpaper option, but then you can't use the Sense widgets anymore.. :/
On the jelly Bean waiting thread on the one s section someone suggest that this feature may be restored by changing a value inside Rosie but I'm not sure
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
Really hope someone gets that Feature back in here =/
I'm very pissed off now, I have red that HTC has also removed 3d sliding effect on the home, this suck completely.

Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
Is there a solution for this!?!?
I mean - I hate new update because of a lack of moving wallpaper.
Why they just didn't make an option "on/off", i didn't have a lag!
Who has idea on how to make it enable again
Android 4.1.2
Sense 4+
p.s. on 4.0.4 with sense 4, it worked very well.
Warning!!! As someone commented he was totally unaware of this problem until he used this fix and it destroyed his experience with his phone
[REQ]Any developer that could help me with something? I want to make this app matching system UI with ready filters and put it in Setting so that it will look integrated like the galaxy screen settings, that would help ppl think the screenproblem is just a soft problem and doesn't depend on hardware. Please be kind and PM me
As many have noticed, and even made some ppl crazy is the yellow tint on our screen(HTC One X, Xperia Ion, S etc).
Searching for screen filtering at play store made my day!
Then i found this app: LINK
I installed it and then made a filter with:
Red 0
Green 0
Blue 8
Brightness: 100%
Contrast: -0
That made me feel like replacing the whole screen!
Second thing you should do is:
Press the MENU-button and go in to Options
Autorun [YES]
Hide status bar icon [YES]
Enjoy your screen! :victory:

Really liking it. Few questions. How do I add more screens... Can I make icons smaller to fit more apps on one page. Also how do I get battery percentage indicator on lock screen when charging.
Thanks in advance,

Me? I just took out widgets I thought I didn't really use and re organized what widgets were on what pages. And same way to remove the app from the dock, in the app drawer (another very stupid change made by sense.)

I love the Nova launcher. It lets me shrink the icons to my liking and allows me to have a scrollable dock, both features I missed from my jailbroken iPhone 5.
Sense looks really nice with the semi-transparent notification bar, but it doesn't recognize other launchers the same way and keeps the fully black bar as in most normal apps. Is there a way to enable this on custom launchers? Possibly by editing the SystemUI.apk, or tricking the phone into thinking the launcher is Sense? Someone asked about it in this thread (and made a nice graphic for it), but nothing came of it. Hopefully some progress can be made here. Thanks! :fingers-crossed:

Although I am not an expert, but I think it has got more to do with the launcher and has nothing to do with the phone.. i.e. the phone really does not care if it is Sense or not... the transparancy is a feature of the launcher.
so, may be you could request the developer of the launcher to introduce this feature

Should do.... Try it. Just take a backup of your two framework.apk's and systemUI first incase it goes pear shaped...
