Hi guys,
I have this problem for many months and I can not fixx. when I receive calls, who calls me has the echo of his voice. if I use my headphone disappears. the problem occurs only when you call me, not when I call. Skype and similar okay. wipe data, changed rom, kernel, modem but nothing. now with 4.2 and rootbox last dori.
Thank you in advance
Toggle noise reduction in the dialer settings - if it's currently on - turn it off, reboot, test; if it's currently off - turn it on, reboot, test.
If that doesn't work, it's either a network issue or something wrong with the speaker on the phone.

This will be a question and answer post.
My wifi automatically turned on while making a call, it was driving me insane. There is another thread for the Tilt 2 on this, but it never answered the question. It is also more relevant here.
The answer to solve this, by turning off Wireless-N mode or enabling automatic data disconnect.
I recently changed settings in touch tools; a lot of them. I noticed shortly after that by wifi kept on enabling itself automatically whenever I made a call. It drove me crazy, because I had to switch it off. It also wasn't good for my battery life.
I wish I could be more of a help, but at least you know where to start. I'll try and post back as soon as I am less busy.
settings wireless control, and switch off wifi?
There is a cab or maybe just a hack somewhere on the forum that auto switches it off or run on 2g only maybe?

Thank you for your response.
My problem was that whenever I made a phone call the wifi would automatically activate. So imagine having to turn wifi off after each phone call. (I make a lot of calls during the day. Not only that but it briefly interferes with my calls (people have told me they heard something) and drains the battery life a lot more especially if I use the speaker.
I have fixed the problem though just by turning wireless-n mode off. I had turned it on for faster webpages, but really on wifi I don't need it.
I'm using Nero v5 and I tried hooking up my LG bluetooth headset to the phone. After pairing I initiate the connection manually and a tone starts ringing (sounds a bit like a sonar) and would not stop. I turned off bluetooth and it kept on going. I ended up rebooting and that turned it off. I retried pairing and the tone started again. I confirmed the connection was working by making a call which worked. Still the tone kept going. I rebooted and after rebooting the tone started up again. What turned it off this time is when I switched of bluetooth via the home screen pull-down menu.
Is this a setting issue or a bug? Is there a place where I can select the tone and just silence it. I'm guessing it should not ring constantly, so that might be a bug. I did a quick search for bluetooth on this thread and couldn't find a mention of a similar problem.
I flashed from 4.1 to 5, before that I flashed from 2.1 stock.
I checked my wife's Vibrant running Obsidian 4.2 and there is no ringtone when connecting to a bluetooth devices.
Any help on how to turn-off the tone or fix the problem is greatly appreciated. I could find anything in the settings menu.
Haven't seen that issue before. Here's a potential workaround for your issue...
Set the default system notification ringtone to "Silent" and then set the notification ringtone for Gmail, SMS, etc separately in each app. Then you'll get most if not all your notifications but the bluetooth notifications should be silenced.

I'll try the workaround and let you know if it works.

This is the only way I found that would disable the Bluetooth notification tone on Nero v3. All the other notifications work fine when set from each app.
Thanks guys for the tip. That worked.

I have the Samsung GN2 which I rooted and flashed the AOKP ROM and associated GAPPS. I love the ROM, but I am having two issues.
1. The phone does not vibrate at all. Not for ANY notifications, whether in vibrate only mode or in sound + vibrate mode. I checked the phone's system settings to make sure that the vibrate option has been checked, and it has. It is set to the "AOKP" vibrate pattern. Each individual app's settings (email, messaging, gmail, etc) also have vibrate checked. There is an option to make a custom vibration and no vibrations will play in that feature nor can I record a new one. It's almost as if the ROM knocked out the phone's ability to vibrate.
2. The volume at it's max setting is very weak, almost like any other phone at 40-50% volume. This affects the speaker phone option, youtube, etc.
Everything else works 100%
I've searched this forum as well as others, the AOKP website for answers, and the suggested similar threads that pop up before you post, and can't find any thread or webpage addressing these specific issues or providing a working solution. I'm not a noob at this - this is the 4th Android phone I've rooted/flashed ROMs/etc - but I also don't posess the advanced knowledge of a programmer/developer.
Are these issues anyone has heard of?
How do I fix this without getting rid of the AOKP ROM?
The attached photo is a screenshot of my phone's info. I'd be happy to provide any other info if needed.
FYI, I haven't wiped and re-flashed the ROM yet.
Thanks in advance!
I am using the SWApp App and it seems to not vibrate or get notification until I press the power button. How can I get notifications in real time and not by pressing power button? Is the Bluetooth going to sleep when put to sleep? Thanks
I Always get a notification... dont need to press anything, have you got a power saver app that is regulating the connections? Normally its wifi that gets killed when screen is off...
Same thing happens to me.
I get the notification at the exact same time the screen turns on.
I doubt this is a bluetooth problem because if I receive a sms and go to plane mode on the phone, the notification still appear when I turn the swatch screen on. (then, swapp link crashes)
If I do not turn the screen on, I still receive the notification, but several minutes later.
@MrTip Did you figure out how to fix the bluetooth sleep/delay issue? Thanks

Firmware issue. General rule is stock for standalone and BT ROM (assuming your TS is even compatible) for companion.
Thanks @Lokifish Marz
Same issue with BT Rom . It only gets notification when power is pressed or notification is delayed. It does get notification when it's supposed to if the device is charging. Swapp/OSmart bluetooth notifications do not work on 20140120, 20140120 with EnSec, 20140527, or Dee Troy 1.1.1 BT Rom. Is this still a firmware issue or can it be hardware? Why is no one else having this issue or is it isolated like MrTip and me? Thanks again!
btw I can bluetooth internet tether with BT Rom now....

The phone is up to date. There is no option in the settings
After many tests I noticed that the Bluetooth option can be activated occasionally during calls. On some calls (non VOIP calls or VOIP software) Bluetooth button is not activated unnecessarily.
Strange. I continue to investigate and keeps you informed
