[Q] small gmail caracters with PACman ROM - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Hi all,
I installed the new PACman ROM with android 4.3 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2411876 ) a few days ago.
It's a great ROM but the gmail app has the caracters too small, I don't know what can I do because I can't find any configuration to get it bigger.
Of course, the caracters in other apps are normal.
thanks to all

I have uploaded 2 examples, so you can see the gmail app and the whatsapp app

I don't use PACMan but it has Per App DPI feature. Please check their settings and see if GMail has proper DPI.

Excuse me because of my fault of knowledge, but I don't know how to check it.
The only DPI configuration I see is when you choose the hibryd properties, mine is in Stock UI (240dpi/360p).
Thanks

Please refer to Per App DPI video at http://www.androidbeat.com/2013/07/paranoid-android-pie-halo-per-app-dpi/
You can set App DPI in "Paranoid Setting" > "Hybrid Setting" > "App List"

thank you very much, I have solved it.
It is a bit difficult to find the configuration of the hybrid setting.
thanks

[Q] Bypass Themer Restriction ?

So, I tried this and works on a different Rom, but somehow incompatible with my current rom . Is there anyway to force install Themer? I love this app.

Hi, please make sure that your DPI/resolution/display settings have all been set to default. Themer works best when all your display settings (even the height of the notification/navigation bars need to be set to default).
Hope this helps:victory:

[Q] Density/DPI

I went down to 240 dpi and got the split quick settings and notifications, though the notifications only give me a dim screen. But now my launcher is weird. Any ideas how to make it use full width and height?

Have you tried using xposed and installing "app settings" through it? It lets you change individual app dpi's, you could try changing the dpi launcher to the normal dpi which is i believe 320.

To reset the launcher layout after a DPI change go into settings > Apps > Xperia Home (or whatever it's called) > Clear Data & Cache

[?] Change dpi of single app without xposed

Hi all, is there a way to change the dpi of a single app without "app settings" module in xposed? Since xposed on lollipop is really unstable I'd like if I can have a different solution. I mean: I reduce dpi from 480 to 400 for a better user experience but I don't like keyboard at 400 dpi and I'd like to have it at 480. I was able to to this with app settings, is it possible without xposed? Thanks in advantage

You would need to edit the app itself.
Yes but how to...?
You can change dpi per app with xposed and app settings module.

I never tried that personally, but I'm quite sure you should start by editing res/layout files. I don't think there is a tutorial available, nor is it really easy to do. You should edit xml files to include the px height/width that you want.
I'm sorry, but I don't think there is an easier way without Xposed.
Also, I needed it. I use this ROOT Dpi changer.
Works great , I used 400 dpi but unfortunately it's actually just the entire UI system ....

I don't quite understand your question. Do you want to put Google camera at your homescreen? or do you want to just change the icon of the Google camera?
Well if you want to do the first one, then you just have to drag and drop the icon at your homescreen, and if you want to do the latter one then you should install a third party launcher.

Hello Digigoon,
I would like to do the same as iMaxime.
We do not want to change icon in HOME screen, we would like to change application triggered by LOCK screen icon.
That is... we may not be able to have the fast picture feature in-build in Honor camera app, but we would be able to launch the third-party camera app from the lock screen. May be more complicated than that, but could you please help us? Is this even possible?
Cordially,
Xavi

As far as I know, you can't do that with stock ROM (or any that isnt customizable on that way). You'll need to download a launcher or an app do costumize your lockscreen

You may try and freeze the native camera app and install the app you want. If there is no FC, then any shortcut will lead to Google Camera as it will be assumed as the default (only) camera app.
I´ve removed myself some useless system apps and some others just can´t be removed. Never tried camera.
Settings > Apps > Advanced > Default App Settings > Camera.
If you change it from there, doesn't it get changed from the lock screen?

You can use a method described by Paul O'Brian but you will have to dig for it a bit.
I don't recall specifically but he used something like
pm.hide.something
To hide the native app and use the one you want. After that, it will use your custom app.
Tag him in the post and he can clarify more.

[Q] google chrome - force tabs?

does anyone know how to force chrome browser into displaying with tabs on the hd6 rather than the small screen mobile display?
I'm aware dolphin & other browsers have the tab navigation but I'm loathed to lose the bookmark sync with my other devices.

You can use Xposed / AppSettings . Then set dpi to a huge number, or the screen size to a huge number. One of these should work. I had tabs, and wanted to switch, so that's what I did:

thanks, I tried changing both dpi & screen resolution and the res change showed a single tab as the page loaded - then blanked out as the page load completed.
can you suggest a specific setting? it does indeed feel like the right app for the job. i'd never heard of it before so cheers for the heads-up.

good idea, I'm on the latest version updated thru play store. guess it's be worth trying the beta, dev or canary versions. thanks again.
I got this to work using dpi of 213. You can also use 160 but I found the tabs too small and fiddly with that setting.
