When open recover do not I find file Mods in recover
Files that were before installing the Rom existing
But the newly added files that Do not display

I can't understand what you are trying to say, best read your rom thread and instructions -ask in that rom thread if you can't find and answer.

You need to define the problem .

When you add a file to the phone's internal memory
It does not appear in the recover
Such as: mods
(Problem found in Rom 4.2.2) only

I think the problem is, that you were on stock rom and put some mods on the internal sd card. Now you updated to cm 10.1 and you are able to find the old mods on your sd card in your recovery, but if you transfer new ones you cannot see them in recovery. (am I right?)
probably the recovery has the wrong sd card location, so you have to change it. (cm roms have another sd card mount)
read the sticky threads in genaral section. espacially this one could be helpful, I think: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274218
which recovery do you use?

[Q] nook tablet Can't access to my internal card

Hi, I have installed CM7 on my tablet. First all was OK. I wish to upgrade to CM9 and I'hve had problem. I search on web and I read that somebody with the same problem have unmount all on his internal card and reboot and reinstall CM. I have made the same and since I cann't acces to my internal card ! Joint to photo !
I may only use CM7 from my external card but impossible to write or to access to my internal card
Sorry for my bad english, I'm french
Nobody wish help me ?
Nobody has same problem and have resolved it ?
why don't u just redo the whole thing? Go back to B&N software then root to cm9.
I can't do that. i've replace B&N software by Cyanogen 7 who has crush the original !

i am sorry, please explain a little bit more. so cm7 was installed and working fine. And it was internal so you got a 16GB unit... and then you tried to install cm9 internal ?
Hi,
At first time, I've replaced the BN system by CM7, It work fine.
Than 3 months after, I see that now we may change CM7 by CM9
I decided to make that, and on a internet page I read that we do unmoot all directories on the SD card. Also on recovery mod I unmoot all directories. Than I put CM9 zip on an external SD card and I select install Rom from zip.
Recovery say it can't find directories (system, SD-ext, SD card, Boot....) and instll done !
Since I can only use my NT with system on an external card. I can't access on my internal SD card, I can seen it on my PC browser, but it say "no media in".
i did some checking on 'unmount'. i must admit. i am a dos/windoze expert and a linux idiot.
O'reilly says : "System administration command. Unmount filesystem specified by directory. You may also specify the filesystem by device name. umount announces to the system that the removable file structure previously mounted on the specified directory is to be removed. Any pending I/O for the filesystem is completed, and the file structure is flagged as clean."
And the key in the above definition is "removed". For me and my 'dos' box, that would be like 'nuking' it... So my advice is to go here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23982333&postcount=1
Repartition, Reformat, Restore and Rescue SDcard.
best of luck.

assert failure on acclaim-update = wrong build prop info your pic shows this clearly as assert failure
Lars for tobdaryl
seems I remember the build prop in CM7 had to be edited to see data - anybody?
ro.additionalmounts=/mnt/media
ro.void.switchablepair=/mnt/sdcard, /mnt/media
the 2 lines above will fix your data access problem; I think
the assert issue is looking for a BnN NT as from factory (build.prop) which you no longer have you can replace the build.prop with a stock one or unzip acclaim-update and comment out the asserts and rezip
CWM backup is your best friend please use it before any major change so you can return!

Yes, thank you. You are a very intelligent one ! This is a good spot. I don't know why the picture says one thing and the words say another ? It may be a cascade of steps ( digging a hole ? ).

Thank you. I have previously visited these places myself so after hacking my way out of the jungle once, I try to remember enough to return. Not intelligence just a return to the scene.

CWM recovery cant mount ext sd

Im having problems with CWM recovery
Im getting "E:cant mount external sd " at the bottom of the screen
So i cant choose zip from sd. If i go to mounts and storage to mount sd i "error mounting / external sd
Im using the latet CWM but also tried 5.5 v 1.5
Im using omega jellybean rom. But im almost certain its not a rom issue
Ive got a feeling i cocked something up making a backup with rom manager last night.
Any help?

Three things:
1. Read the rules. Use the search button.
2. Think before you post.
3. See if the ROM itself can actually read the Ext. SD card...
I can't offer any help, because Jelly Bean is not yet released and still full of bugs.
i have a tip, though: Always do a backup of the backup, that way you don't have trouble, like that
sorry .
any way after reading through about 8 threads with no joy i finaly found a soloution in one of them for anyone who may find this thread and need help

[Q] Files not found when attempting to install CM10 rom

I have been trying for at least two days now to get CM10 on my nook tablet, I have been going through many guides to do it but most are very specific and I don't really know where to go or what to do (I am a total noob at this). Yesterday I found an extraordinary tutorial that explained step by step everything I had to do, I followed it and again I couldn't get past attempting to install the roms because it cannot find the files. I had reached this same stage by following different tutorials but in the end I couldn't find the zips. I even tried with another SD card and the same happens. I have thought of putting the rom zips in the internal memory and running them from there but I'm not sure if it's a good idea.
(Is it any good to tell you I wiped a N2A card 8GB with 2.2 in it to use as my sd card for CM10? I believe it was running CM7 but a week ago I couldn't get it to work so I decided to try CM10 myself thinking it couldn't be that hard)
I really hope someone here knows what can I do because to me my nook tablet is pretty much useless without Android.
Since you're a newbie I suggest using the SDC image. You can download it from here: http://iamafanof.wordpress.com/2012/11/18/cm10-0-jellybean-sdcard-img-for-nook-tablet/
Note this does not flash to internal so it doesn't change anything on your book itself.
All you need to do is write the image file to an SD card and you're good to go. No need to flash it from recovery. You can also repartition the SD card for more space in the data partition, allowing more apps.
If you get stuck or need something explained just reply or send me an email.

Just place them in a location where cwm recovery is reading. Doesn't matter if its SD or internal.

HELP - wiped internal memory, lost pictures

I didn't backup my internal SD card and i lost my pictures while installing CM10. What program do you guys recommend to restore pictures if possible?
The only option is to send the phone to a company who does data restoring. AFAIK there are a couple of websites that do that with android phones, use search.
And why are you asking for HELP in General and not in the Help section?
Sorry, newb posting.
If anybody knows data restoration on flash memory, please let me know!
is that even possible just because some of your files were moved into /sdcard/0/ folder and some other didn't so you just don't see it in default ??
i have been situation like this as i first time install 4.2 on my Galaxy Nexus , but then i soon discovered the datas still in there just because my default is now /sdcard/0 so i didn't see it in the first place.

actually, no files are ever moved when flashing 4.2.
so OP, if you didn't wipe internal memory, your data is in /data/media/

[Q] messed up internal storage after upgrading to android 4.3

Hey all,
I recently fresh installed android 4.3 and i love it.
just some small issues like gallery being terribly slow.
fixed that by installing quickpic.
further than that no lags!
One slightly bigger issue. ...
my internal sd was renamed i guess... file like pictures where not showing in gallery and such.
i went looking for them with es file explorer and found them on device memory.
so you would say problem fixed....
only when i go into recovery and try to install from internal sd, the newly renamed internal memory is not showing but yhe old one...
is there a fix for this?
Maybe the gallery is so slow because of the mixedup memory???
Hope i make some sense.
If there isnt a fix i will have to try to do a new install but format internal sd first.
hope someone knowes a way to fix this a easier way
thanx in advance.
Not sure what you are saying but suggest you read the stickied faqs and guides first,
Storage post for one .
Fixed! For everyone who has the same problem:
Just move everything from "old'' sd card to the new 0sdcard exept 0, legacy and obb.
Cant find the link anymore where i have read this... will post and give credit to the person who wrote it when i do.
This post! Credits to ROOTSU for the helpful post!
