Hello,
I had the rom CyanogenMod cm-10.2-20130904-NIGHTLY-i9300.zip (unstable)
But I decided to install cm-9.1.0-i9300.zip (stable)
I installed all applications, until a few minutes after the phone was freeze
Now it does not work any more
VOLUME UP + MENU + POWER = does not work
VOLUME DOWN + MENU + POWER = does not work
What can I do?
Remove battery, wait 30 seconds and replace. Try another battery. Does anything happen when you plug a charger in?
If none of the above works then you need a service centre.

I do not have another battery
In doubt, I put the battery to charge the device universal
I'll wait a bit now
But I've tried taking the battery and put it back and try to connect, but nothing
Take it to a local phone shop and get them to try another battery.
Pull the battery out holed down the three buttons for recovery and while you holed them down put the battery bk in. Should boot up. If not repeat till it does.

Sorry my grammar is poor. So holed down volume up and home buttom and power button then while holding these buttons down put your battery back into the phone. It should reboot ok. If not keep trying this. Make sure you keep them buttons held down till it boots.

Sorry to hear that. If you're in Europe, you may be able to get it repaired under warranty, but if not I am afraid there is not much you can do except pay for a new motherboard (unless you bought it less than a year ago).
This is the peril of flashing anything below 4.1.2

I have never needed to use one but when I saw your post I searched Amazon for "USB jig" it looks like some are phone specific some don't work at all some have bad reviews etc. of course if you get this one " [Aftermarket Product] Black Download Mode Unbrick Fix Micro USB JIG For Samsung GT-i9100 Galaxy S II Omnia 7 Epic Fascinate T959 Vibrant Replace Replacement by BestMatch" with free shipping on orders over $25.00 it's $4.99 and it don't work it is Fulfilled by Amazon so no problem getting a refund.. Some reviews say it works on the i777 I can't confirm this...... Just be careful of fake reviews from dummy accts. Here is the link..... GL I know you can get them on ebay as well

While plugged in, if it heats up closer to the camera than the battery portion of the phone, it's possibly a hard brick.
What I tried from Samsung and ATT tech support before I sent it in for warranty repair:
1. Hold power button down for over 30 s to see if it reboots, or
2. Hold power button + vol up + vol down for 30 s till it reboots, or
3. Hold power button + vol down for 30 s till it reboots, or
4. Remove the battery for 2 min, hold down power button + vol up + vol down buttons, and then put in the battery, or
5. Remove the battery for 2 min, and try step 2, or
6. Remove the battery and try step 2.
Good luck :good:
PS: No questions were asked about rooting/flashing ROMs to me from Samsung before they repaired my phone in warranty. YMMV.

What is the point of doing this? what would it prove?
1. normal procedure for a BSOD reboot. phone stuck on black screen while on.
2. if off and doing that, will bring recovery mode.
3. nothing
4. minus the power button it should bring you to download mode.
5.pointless
6. pointless.
At&t tech support are retards. They have a list of stuff to do that most of the time does absolutely nothing. Like if your USB port is toast they might have you do a factory reset, which will not do a damn thing.

Well, trying to get OP into download/recovery mode was the point of this thread...
To many techie users at XDA, techs may appear retarded. However, techs have to assume the users who call in don't know much about their phones...hence their boilerplate suggestions.

The point is that the phone is NOT powering on so the suggestions are to try and get it to turn on and go into download mode at best, at worst get it to turn on and go into ADB. I know the difference between a black screen with phone on on (ADB will work in that case, PC will recognize the device connected) and the phone completely dead.

I have the same problem start out as soft brick went into hard brick over night. Looks like my last hope is JTAG, but if he still couldn't get it to work I don't want to waste my money on it.
i upgrade from gingerbread to ics a week back with odin there wasn't any serious problem except for some java errors msgs, occasional rebooting and battery disconnected alerts. The frequency with which all this error occur reduced to some manageable level which was okay with me. Two days ago i tried charging the phone it, displays the battery charging icon but the white dot that moves at the bottom stops at the 2nd white spot and the phone acts like i just re plugged it, i have tried booting into recovery or odin mode with the three button combination all to no avail.

Try pulling out battery and wait 10mins, also check if u have enough battery left before u start odin again.
It's very strange if u can't use recovery or odin mode cuz the phone shouldn't boot in the first place.
I got the same problem my usb port is kinda broken, so i charge the phone with SGNote externel charger, but then my phone will act strange, It connects with charger and then disconnects when its unplugged.

Remove battery for 10 mins, then replace and leave to charge, even if nothing comes on screen etc just leave it plugged in and charging for a few hours or obvernight.
After that try booting up into download or recovery if still nothing happens try a USB jig. If that doesnt work your device is pretty much screwed and you will have to send away for JTAG flash or mobo replacement.
Btw, this has pretty much already been covered a million times in the other "my phone wont turn on" threads.

May be many S2 devices have this problem. And I had too. It 's often hardware related problem. After reparing it 's ok. But firstly, try to clean charging port, if it does not resolve, bring it to service care.

Hey all,
Phone is completely stock never got into flashing roms or anything. Had to ring up my provider to turn on my internet access. They asked me to restart my phone. I held the power button down menu came up, I selected power off phone. From then I have been unable to power it back on.
When left on charge overnight charging LED is orange never turns green.
Tried holding down power button for 10 secs,30 secs nothing.
Tried holding down volume button + power button, nothing.
Tried pressing the button inside the phone when cover off, took out battery basically tried everything possible.
Figuring it might be the battery since when I checked it with a Volt meter the battery was reading 2.9 volts where it should be 3.8v.
Took out my battery from my Incredible S and flipped it since the polarities are different, phone did not respond. I bought a new battery for it anyway just to make sure but they sent me the wrong one that also has the polarity in reverse so flipped it and nothing either. This battery is 3.7v instead of 3.8v but in any case this should probably not make any difference.
The phone just refuses to power on with no signs of malfunction before that.
Anybody have any ideas?

Bummer and it is still under warranty but the problem is I am in Australia at the moment (bought in Europe) Would send to relatives but can't find invoice.
So I am out of luck. I spoke with HTC technical support they were absolutely useless, knew less than me. Last time I ever buy a HTC. Incredible S speaker died about 2 months after warranty. Now this with the Desire X, I guess spending $300+ on a phone gets you about 12 months use and you can throw away, great....
Is there anyway to flash new firmware onto the phone even without being able to power it up? When I connect the phone to PC nothing happens nothing it recognized on PC that anything is plugged in.

Maim board not for sale for phones normally...what iam doing is,check warranty first coz this fault covered by warranty even if u dont have receipt service centres have to fix it. If out of warranty look for broken phone online swap main board carefully. Not difficult..
Yeah for 150 euro not worth the money rather buy an LG. I will try and get it fixed under warranty but I know in Czech if you don't have receipt they don't talk to you. Would have thought they would have the serial number in database along with date of purchase.

You know, you may be right. Maybe they just looked at it and said this thing is screwed. Or, they took the time to try to do something. Either way. First things first. Can you tell us if the phone shows a charging image when it is plugged in? If so, step two. Does the phone go into download mode? That is, hold down the down on the volume while holding the middle button on the face of the phone, while pressing the power button to turn it on. Dont hold the power button after you see the booting screen.

Hi!
My Galaxy S2 suddenly died today and I have not been able to turn it on.
This has happened before, but it worked after switching battery, this time it didn't.
I have tried many things that people have suggested on Google, but I am not even able to get into recovery/download mode.
The phone was running NeatROM 4.4.4.

I checked my phone and saw that I received a message, put it in my pocket, took it up - wouldn't respond.
Could still use some help, thanks.
Try putting a new battery in that you are sure has some charge already in it .
Try booting into recovery/download mode .
If it doesn't still turn on it may be that your screen has died or mainboard is dead . Both of which require taking it for repairs as it is kinda like swap the part hit and miss kinda repairing. Still I guess if screen goes bad you should feel some vibration .
Plus it would be nice to know that your phone didn't go off of low battery . Since it can rule out very unlikely scenario that power button has failed or phone died of low battery and charger is refusing to charge the phone .
