Hi guys,
I'm on a non-rooted Galaxy s3 (I know, I know, I just don't want to void my warranty) and I'm having this annoying problem. Whenever I browse the Internet and try to type any text in a text field at the bottom of a page (mobile Facebook page for example), my keyboard appears right on top of the text field thus I can't see what I'm typing. Normally it would lift the text field just above the keyboard, but it doesn't. Is there an option for this?

Nope, you can try another browser but it's how the page has been written.

Hello there, kids - you gotta love 'em!
Its one of the east things to sort out (don't let her near your pattern lock!) go into you messaging app and in the text input box long press, you will get a popup and one should say 'Input Method' select this and then select either Android or Standard (or whatever other keyboard you are using).

Does anyone have the browser from the Samsung Vibrant? I like the way when you click in a field on a webpage to type into it, it brought up a window to type into. When typing on the MT4G, and other phones, the text that I type in the field shows up in the field, but it is hard to read at times, because of size, and it's hard to scroll. I hope you know what I mean. Is it the browser that controls this, or did the Vibrant have something special?

That's why our phones have multi-touch. Make the screen bigger and type away. You will be able to see everything you type clearly. No need for an alternate browser

I have this problem on the top right touchscreen . It works but in some apps it works like for example in the xda app I press the participated tab and it would press more.or like in the browser if I press the menu and press the new tab it wont respond. The only way to fix this is to move it vertical

i am having a similar issue with a section of the screen that runs along the entire width about the width and is the section where the browser address bar is in landscape, i just got a repair ticket made with samsung support, so i'm going to mail it in and see what happens.
i have to use my tab upside down for now to be able to input addresses into the browser.
When I type text, the keyboard automatically loads one of the three suggested words on top of keyboard (usually the wrong one of course) into my text making typing a real pain in the rear.
How do I get rid of these suggested words?
It usually loads the center word. The left hand word is usually the one I want.
Also the "word prediction" field in the settings area is dimmed meaning I have no access to green check mark.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, why do the "image verification" letters in this forum have to be so blurry? I have to reselect numerous times before I get one I can read.
You could try another third party keyboard. I hate the stock keyboard so I got swift key and have been using it for 2 years. You could try it out I really enjoy it and if you like it, but it will fix your issue your having with the stock one.

You can touch the word you want and it will fill it in to what you are typing. Also under Settings/Language&Keyboard/HTC Sense Input/Advanced you can only turn off word prediction if you uncheck trace keyboard.

I had and hate swift key with a passion, misinterprets everything i type into it.
So i downloaded swipe beta for free, all better.
A1 keyboard for me love the top row with numbers since I have to input addresses alot

S3's text selection method really sucks. First off on the google home page if i write something in the search bar and then need to add something else i drag the cursor to the end but either the keyboard disappears or it gets dragged only to the letter before the last.
Also to copy or paste stuff i have to go looking on the top of the screen (or bottom) for a copy/paste bar, only rarely do i get the popup copy and paste buttons. And it has no screen magnifier for precise selections.
What im looking for is something like apples selection: popup buttons for copying/pasting/cutting DIRECTLY CLOSE TO THE TEXT (not somewhere else, cuz in some apps if youve already scrolled down the bar will disappear), and (a less important feature) a screen magnifying thingy so i can stop the cursor just where i want it to.
Basically i need to replace all of samsungs copy/selection thingy with the blue arrow-cursors, anybody knows how??
