Anyone faced this issue? For example, when I press the power button, only the capacitive buttons light up. Press the power button twice will show the phone at normal state. Had this problem since stock gingerbread, stock ics, king cobra ics and now even on cool ics rom.

Try setting min CPU frequency to 384MHz via kernel tuner or some CPU manager app

Tried that, it didn't help. In kernel tuner I even set the idle and screen off cpu to be 486mhz. Have a bad feeling that it is hardware related..

If it's still being buggy, just flick the 3d switch like you would a light switch in your room haha. If not, restart your phone. I still get that bug sometimes. Hopefully it'll get fixed in an update.
Got the same thing and the 2d-3d toggle doesn't fix it. In 2d mode it shows a nice flat image, in 3d it shows both images overlaid but no 3d effect. It's not a hardware issue because other 3d apps work fine.

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago... toggle did nothing, reboot did nothing - but pulled the battery and all was well!

Is a bug after a while if your phone being on the 3d won't work if you have fast boot on, you have to take the battery to reset if no just turn it off and turn it back on It should work
Is there a way to change the light levels for the touch capacitive buttons (Home, Menu, Back, Search)? My search button has ways been dimmer than the others ever since the first boot.

open root explorer....
navigate to this directory...
/sys/devices/platform/leds-pm8058/leds/button-backlight/
in that directory there is a system file named "currents"... long press that file, edit, change value to 20, save and exit.
your brightness should be adjusted to max on your LED buttons. you can adjust that value from 0-20... 0 being off.
Use leedroid tweaks and set them on-the-fly.
If I use LeeDroid's tweaks will it change whenever I flash to a new ROM?

actually, flashing a new ROM will completely get rid of lee droid tweeks... unless the new ROM includes it.
and no, it won't stick. touch keys are controlled at the kernel level unless modified after boot. kernel = power output/management in android
Then why is only the Back button dim compared to the others? This should've been corrected whenever I flashed the first ROM a couple days ago. It's been like this since I got the phone back in August.

Use keyboard backlight controller, free from the market. Problem solved.
I tried and it didn't help the Back button. Maybe I have a bad LED

So I gave it a try and it worked but it didn't. The lights turn on but now they wont turn off even when screen locks unless I reboot and then I have to edit again.

I was just about to say the same thing, if you get the Kernel Tuner app you can change that, plus a whole bunch of other stuff
I'm gettng the same results with kernel tuner as when editing in Root ex. Lights do turn on but stay on even after locking screen.

My Son resently bought an HTC Evo 3D GSM. Its a great device but, I noticed that when I try to unlock the screen says"pull ring to unlock" but when I try to do that it will not let me pull the ring. The only way to unlock is to mess around and pull the phone icon down.Also when I touch the phone key pad, '*", 7 is pressed,touch "0" 8 is pressed and "#" registers 9.I have also noticed that the keyboard is also having the same problem.All the keys work just fine except the bottom row of letters(shift,zxcvbnm, Delete).The weird thing is that this only happens when the phone is upright,when i rotate it, all the keyboard keys work but not the phone dial pad.It would be fine if the phone dial pad work properly too when rotated but unfortunetly it does not. I have tried doing a system restore,calibrating and restoring the touch screen and taking the battery out,no success, does any one know what this problem is, or how to fix it. Next thing I was going to try was rooting it and installing a new ROM cause I believe its a software issue since the digi works for the keyboard when rotated to widescreen.
Maybe that portion of your screen is broken. It happened to my Hero a whileeeeeee back.

I managed to download and install GO Contacts and dialer . and it spins the dialer when rotae the phone, so now i can dial. I dialed the *#*#DIAG#*#* (3424). Selected the line drawing test and when i draw near the bottom of screen it draws random lines. Was your phone doing the same and when u repaced the digi did it fix problems.
Have you tried recalibrating the screen

Friends I want a tweak which is sweep2unlock ...

Before the skydragon Rom I used viper 3d Rom and in it , I get a feature sweep (home to search) to unlock lockscreen , with the help of anthrax kernal I used sweep2wake option ,then I do twice swiped to home screen (1 in sleep mode to go to lock screen and 2nd on lockscreen to unlock it) ,but in skydragon Rom I used anthrex kernal and with sweep2wake I go to lockscreen from sleep mode... But there was no function or app in the market or anywhere else which help to unlock lockscreen with sweep (anyone know about it plz help...)
Install Kernel Tuner from Play Store, enable it from there, reboot, and then it should work. Might need to check the "Set on boot" feature, just to be sure it works everytime

Hmm, sorry about that, I misunderstood. Unfortunately, the only idea that I have for what you want is to delete/rename the lockscreen apk from root, but that would disable your lockscreen completely...

But this is not a perfect solution , I think it create many bugs if I do that...
Now I think I would try for going to viper team, because they can make this tweak...

Hi,
I had this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906298 and now this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221957. On both I have same problem. On both i'm using sweep2wake.
SOMETIMES I wake up phone and touchscreen doesn't responses. Only thing what I can do is lock screen by power button and wake up it again. Do you have some idea to solution?

That's a common issue with s2w. Try flashing Coolexes kernel, I had no screenfreezes with his kernel

Thx for reply. Today morning Evo stopped waking up after s2w or press power button. Screen stayed black but when I call from other phone, I heard ringing, but Evo didn't react.
I was using Nova launcher, played with kernel, restore some app by Titanium backup. So I decided flash Evo again with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221957 and all works, for now. So I will see .
