oh nice!
Real nice
Since i'm not going to bother making a new thread just for this, i installed a new Xposed module today that's called "GEM Xperia Xposed" that allows us to customize the stock lockscreen and launcher. Launcher customizability includes adding statusbar/navbar transparency, grid, number of dock icons etc. The lockscreen options include removal of shortcut icons, hide text, carrier label etc.
You can find it by searching for it in Xposed Framework under "Download".
That is some awesome stuff. It would be cool to have some sort of database post about xposed modules that work good for our phone.

Indeed, but that would be incredible hard since there are new modules released every day I usually just search for "Sony" or "Xperia" in the app itself, or i'll just assume that the most popular modules like GravityBox and others work on the Ultra. I installed a module for the LG G2 or HTC G2 yesterday since i wanted to test something, and weirdly - it worked, so go ahead and just try them out. I got a warning a couple of days ago from Xposed Framework itself or the module i had downloaded that the module was incompatible with the Ultra, so i had the chance to abort the installation, so it seems like there is a "safe guard" for adventurous people like me Also, always be sure to have a NAND backup ready, or just flash the Xposed disabler .ZIP that's automatically added to your internal memory under installation, so you can flash it in recovery and disable Xposed and therebye being able to boot if you have to. This post is way to long, so i'll end it here

Hello!
I have discovered many problems with xposed module framework and wanam xposed on our Note 4. I propose this new topic as a must have topic for Note 4 models.
Lets start presenting questions, problems and issues on installation with this popular module.
I cant find a topic for the Note 4 with this subject and I hope Devs and general users can help.
MODERATOR EDIT
I'll let this thread stay in Themes and Apps for now....It may be moved in the future..
Please respect Wanam, rovo89, Tungstwenty and any other dev involved in this software, discussions are fine but any flaming and I will close the thread without warning.
Thank you.
I have a big and annoing problem. Everytime i detach s pen from phone start an infinite ringtone that i cant stop without a restart. Someone can direct me to a solution. Im on note 4 910f snapdragon with stock rom olanda. At first when i install xpose and wanam xpose didnt have that problem and everything works great. Even private mod works and now i cant get rid of the annoing infinite ringtone without restart, private mod is crashing and i cant find a way to silent the shuter sound of camera

Is this where I post issues with Wanam on Note 4? If so, I cannot use the lockscreen shortcuts (not widgets).

Thanks for that, lets use this thread to discuss peoples experience with modules.
Greenify isn't working, it needs to be updated, amplify does work though running it myself at the moment. Need donate package to do any major things with it but still its working.
Does "Serajr Blurred System UI" module works for you guys?
In that page, its saying it works on Team UB ROM.
But it aint working for me here.
Team UB Cm12 i9195
I will try it and let you know.
Sora
Works for i9190 too
XHFW (i.e. XHaloFloatingWindow by zst123) is working very nicely. Not everything in it works, but everything I need is. And now that rovo89 updated Xposed ZIP on 20150308 and the installer APK is on alpha2, I no longer need to set SELinux status to permissive. Have been okay with enforcing status, though it has only been a few days and not throughly tested, as I am avoiding power button reboot because it used to cause endless bootloops. Instead, I've been using XHFW to simply restart SystemUI. If that doesn't fix whatever caused me to try it, then I've been using Xposed's soft reboot.
I use XHFW alone, without sidebar or bubble launcher, etc. Instead, I use Tasker to launch ES File Mgr in XHFW whenever playing songs in GoneMAD Music Player:

Next, I would like to create a Tasker profile that will scroll the song list up one file whenever player moves to next track. But not sure whether Tasker, GMMP, and ES can support this?
Just a heads up I got layers to work on my tmo g4.

Doesn't theme lg apps but it will theme gapps and some of the framework. Would love to try to install aosp dialer and messaging but I won't be able to till I am of work

Nice find.
not working on h818n
I was playing a lot with layers and could not get to work on H815. Already asked the community about some questions but many things are not cleat. LG definitely uses overlays but that are in vendor/overlay and not in system/vendor/overlay. Then I found a post from AL_Iraqi that LG removed the commits from latest stock ROM-s. I preapred my themes as layers but so far no success with installation.
Have you done something special to make it working? I have dowloaded layers manager and installed a theme. reboot the phone but nothing has changed.
thanks
H815, not working.
me too
H811 here and no I haven't done anything special. Just installed layers manager, installed a theme, then applied all layered of said theme THEN I rebooted.
Only aosp-ish apps applied the theme. Framework, Google apps and such. Dialer, messaging and settings didn't apply since they are LGs apps and not aosp.
Since I have twrp I'm going to try replacing everything with aosp apps to see if it will theme everything I'm missing
Bah.... ok, so 815 no work
H812, not working for me.
edit: worked after a reboot, kind of surprised me.
Works for me on H810, thanks!

If I didn't create a backup and my ui got messed up how do I revert to normal? Can someone upload a g4 stock theme I'm not sure how this program works. Should've made a backup.
Uninstall the layer manager and the theme and you should be fine.

I Will Lost all file in my phone?
Tried Evereything! Did find the best solution. OK Google works!
I just got adb tool and drivers and removed ALL of the bloatware including the voice assistant, store, cloud you name it. I installed Nova Launcher as that seems to be very good and most like Anroid 9 Pie in terms of customisation. Romoved oppo launcher of course and reboot.
Set up Google Assistant and then you have the option in the settings with Nova launccher to have it as enabled all the time and disco!
The only thing you can't do is wake it up from locked screen with Hey or O|k google. However as soon as you have swiped in and its had a look at your head everything is voice activated. You have to occasionly choose and confirm the app mainly at first time off using that command such as which clock (I had the system and google one) for timer and alarm sets and which calender or reminders etc and same with notes. However it is just a click 1 time and then you never notice you are using an inuriating chinese variant!
You have to block everything in the settings for the remaining stock apps that you either can't delete or shouldn't.
Also I think having an Oppo ID was useful and will be if anything goes wrong. Although I'm told all the apps and everything come back after a factory reset but you never know.
I'm actually happy with the phone now and enjoy using it ffor the first tome since getting it and being sorely dissapointed!!
'll try and answer any questions but there are lists and links on here ffor the adb platform tools, drivers and commands etc as well as a list of programs safe to delete which is a little outdated as there are now more but the risky ones iI still agree are probably not worth rocking the boat with.
Not sure about other launchers but I had loads installed and Nova came recomended and seems to be unique in being able to set the gogle assistant as default because otherwise I would have found a post like this one by now sureley??
Get it done, its life changing and low risk high reward!!
PS. You can now use any widget you want to your hearts desire with this configuration and so far nothing in chinese has popped up and its ully customised to my liking and very usable!!!

ZenasModUI (for Android 9 ONLY)
What's this?
This module corrects some mismatches and annoyances in the UI elements of ZenUI 6, because of course Asus was too lazy to do it themselves. See the below list for the exact changes.
Features
- Status bar padding on either side has been reduced
- Padding between icons is now more consistent
- Size of signal cluster icons (Wi-Fi and mobile data) are now more consistent with other system icons

Yes, I can do that, but it seems that the icons are not as inconsistent with Android 10. Also, I personally have issues while running Android 10, such as overheating and low battery life, which is why I went back to Android 9. I have another device on the way, so I would be able to focus on some more modding without affecting my daily driver. Due to the pandemic though, this has been delayed by several weeks.
If you want, just let me know what you'd like to see changed in Android 10 and I can investigate how to get it done.
Thanks for checking out my mod.
i'm mostly interested in removing status bar padding on the edges. everything else i wanted i managed to do on my own. but it seems like asus changed something in their android 10 update and you can't change stuff like on a pure android phone. like Pixels

Oh I see. I will definitely be doing a version of this mod for Android 10, but might take me some more time.
Sry for the offtopic, guys... but do you know some way to put Gestures (fluid, like Quickswitch) in A9?
thanks
Thanks! Any other mods ?
hey, would you mind sharing which files you changed to get rid of status bar padding? i'm trying to do it on my own on android 10 but have no idea which files to modify inside the system ui apk
