Hi, I´ve been trying Themer Beta for a day now and has worked out great I have it as my default launcher, so far I aint having bugs and I´ve learned to customize the Everything widget thats on the GTA theme and I´d like to know how can I save that personalization cuz its very tricky :silly: and dont want to do it every time I try another theme and come back to the GTA one... Export your modified theme.
If you just want the widget, then save your widget. There's an option for that.

I'm just waiting 2 receive my new mini and I don't have much experience yet with it since I have been using HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 so far.
Could you share your experience with various launchers, i.e. which one do you prefer and why?
I would need something simple with most important widgets like contacts, browser, weather etc.

ADW is best.... Have many options and costomization
Helix is also good
Helix is very Stable and good
I have had many Force Stops with ADW
I use Helix. Simple and fast (And they say it increases your battery life).
BTW, Anyone knew how to make the app drawer transparent? The black background? I still want to see my wallpaper when I'm opening the app drawer (my wallpaper is Droid eating apple)
i tried EVERY launcher out there...the conclusion: ADW is the best for me;
astonishing customization, very good speed, stability and battery consumption and the only one so far with the ability to turn every application or widget in a useful icon; for example you can put a "smart search" icon on your bottom dock bar...indispensable for me.
maybe not to many themes for now though
Try Zeam 1.5.1 (for Donut).
It's simple, fast, efficient and just does the job

There is no need to remove it.
Simply restart your phone and a pop-up will appear to choose the launcher you want.

Ok so this may very well be a rather noob question to ask, but I'm gonna do it anyways lol.
I like the timescape widget, however I do not like the arc launcher(not enough homescreens). I have SPB and ADW yet when I go to add widgets the Timescape one only shows in the new arc style launcher.
Is there a way to have this widget in the other launchers mentioned above? Or if I'm missing something simple, is the arc launcher limited to only 5 homescreens?
Theres a few widgets that arent usable in other launchers. Hopefully a dev can figure that out and make them work....as of now...you just cant.

Yeah, Im sort of in the same boat. Did you try the new beta 2.3.4 SE launcher thats used on the Xperia Ray?
Its alot smoother I find. Im starting to like this launcher more and more now.
You can find it in the Theme & Apps section.

yeah, i saw it too thats why i updated and i tried to apply launcher pro miui icon pack from the market but i couldnt do so. how do i apply this icon pack? can it be done using apex free version?
With the hype about Apex supporting themes, you would think that there would be at least one out by now. hehe
It says it supports themes from ADW and Go, etc... But all it really supports are the icon packs and wallpapers, which you could already do with ROM Toolbox, etc...

Weird, mine only did that when Superuser was messed up, had some bad binaries or something and needed to be updated.
I am on Scott's CleanROM DE and it runs fine.
Yeah I haven't found any yet. But at least I can replace the icons on the home screens from an adw theme

agreed. I really like Apex and would like to see some themes.

I don't consider a red wallpaper and a slight red tinge to the stock icons to be a "theme"...
if i saw right it will support themes from other launchers so just search themes for those. the one i used is an ics one. just search ics and its the one with the android sandwich. it works for all other launchers so i assume it works for apex

On most of the other launcher's themes, it just imports the icons and wallpaper... it is very limited in what it can do. Personally, the theming in general is kinda weak. Icons, some colors and things is about all that really changes. None of them truly theme the OS, IMHO

launcher themes wil NEVER theme itself. least with the roms we have. only cm7/9,miui etc have themes that change the OS appearance

True, I was just hoping that Apex would be able to offer something other than Icon and Font packs, which we can get through Recovery, ROM Toolbox, etc...

Anw, what exactly happens when you press/hold on standby and from popup you select "Widgets"? I just tried nova launcher and I can add any widget..
EDIT: I'm currently not on stock ICS so some of xperia widgets aren't working. Are you on stock ICS or on custom rom?

There are widgets like the sony music player widget and pictures and videos widget and the original weather widget ............ Im on ka20.1 rom and it doesn't matter really f i am on stock rom or custom xperia sony widgets does not work on any launcher not just nova so im just asking f i can flash sth that can make it work this thing is from sony they made there widgets not available on any other launcher

Well, I tried with Nova and with Apex, media shortcuts, photo gallery, picture frame,status switch, track id, all work.
Timescape, weather and music widget doesn't work.
Not really sure why some widgets depend on launcher..

you can use their ROM, alliance v6 which has transparent framework. besides that you're not going to find much other transparent stuff besides that ROM and their cleared out apps.
Of course you can also use an aftermarket launcher to set the transparency of your app drawer. Also most popular widget sets such as beautiful widgets pro lets you make their widgets transparent.
