Not dualboot, but I followed a Windows XP for Bochs tutorial and had Windows XP running on my Sony Tablet S. It worked, but I was never impressed with its performance. I may someday, just out of curiosity, try running it on my Xperia Tablet Z.

Its not possible via dualboot? Then singleboot?
Bochs is just bad, performance is awful.

nexus and nook actually has a 100% armv7 compatible cpu, tegra is not :-(
secondly no kernel support for the new 3.0.
thx for your answer...not for the bad news...:-(
But The xoom and the folio have the same cpu ? his kernel is not aviable ?

The first two scripts listed in the wiki are no longer availlable for some reason, but the split-bootimage.zip works.
That's not viable to use a SDK ROM on a real device. It will be unoptimized and drivers are not compatible.
We need to wait for HC source + new drivers.
Currently, kernel available at http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=ke...;hb=refs/heads/android-tegra-2.6.36-honeycomb seems to be working on Xoom but we don't know if all devices are working with it (touchscreen, accelerometer, vibrator, etc...).

we know its 100%..
Koush used it to make his boot.img changes, so the kernel is a 100% compatibe android compile.. as google said, the xoom is a reference device, so the kernels should be very much similar. ( except the broadcom driver, which is NDA)
Thanks Dexter_nlb
Btw I don't really understand what ODM_KIT is.
In Folio 100 kernel, there are 3 touchscreen drivers in "odm_kit" folder (panjit, tpk and eeti) and some drivers for these touchscreens are also in drivers/input/touchscreen.
Can't Tegra 2 use normal linux drivers and need to use specific ones ?
I thought ODM_KIT drivers where only there for devkits and not for normal devices.

you're wrong, stock gb is smoother than stock froyo, there's the cpu spike's workaround in the official gb.

When u flash a custom kernel, stock froyo performs great...

Stock froyo was way too better than stock gb in battery life and stability but TB is kinda more fluid with less stability
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA
I have to agree that froyo has better battery life, but that can be fixed with rooting and down clocking your phone to 480mhz, don't worry it's still smooth
windos xp v windows7= froyo v gb
answer is simple, froyo .. GB got minor bugs.. and froyo's cam is superb than GB

False: winxp sp1 vs win xp sp3 vs win vista vs win 7 = froyo vs gb vs hc vs ICS... just think about it:
Win xp sp1 - low resources and pretty cool (froyo)
Win xp sp3 - added a little things, and higher resources (gb)
Vista - needs good pc (honeycomb)
Win7 - lower needs than vista, but cooler (ICS)

Since Linux is the Kernel, you already run "a full linux distribution" on your SGS2 if you are running Android.
But you could run chroot ubuntu search for it

[DEV]Ubuntu-touch for all Xperia2011 devices

Hello,
Developers, I really need help to get the ubuntu-touch port working again!
After the first release of Ubuntu-Touh I tried to port it again to our devices, but I don't get them booting. I only get a black screen. I have updated all sources on github and made the appropriate changes. You can find all relevant sources and information on my new website http://danwin.github.io/ubuntu-touch.html where I have uploaded the non-bootng builds for developers.
I still have the old builds available for those, who want a booting ubuntu-touch, but without any functionality: http://danwin.github.io/ubuntu-touch.html
Thanks for tis Awesome work Dan!
that resolution fix is working on all HDPI Devices..!!
nice work

Thanks, I have added them to my post.
Im really interested on trying this tough for mini pro seems to be laggy... ill try and see the ubuntu features ... if you need testers for bugs i can be one of them since i want this project to continue and become really important for our devices
To encourage other testers to try this and if they are concerned of leaving Whatsapp for trying this i leave this link here https://github.com/mgehre/whosthere/blob/master/README
Great Work Dan i hope to see new builds soon but since is easy to ask and not to build i would be waiting patiently while testing.. Good Luck on this project and i hope many developers would help you :victory:
DanWin1210 you said on the topic of this phone Ray: "Not yet, but we'll have 2-3 days in kernel fixes available to add support for daily builds of ubuntu, Which have a lot of improvements." This would eliminate the need to create a new partition on the SD card?
does it supports apk files or some different format??

How?
For sure you need the SD crad even if we get support for daily builds.
You must create ext4 partition because you have no available space on your device for Ubuntu.

I think it is possible, but we need a developer to make a kernel to support dual-boot
Really good work guys,
Only the transitions are lag, must be a problem with graphic drivers or maybe kernel related.
I think when ubuntu implement the radio capabilities(calls, sms, etc) this OS will be ready for day to day use.
Good luck guys.
any bugs ?? or MAJOR bugs ?

Please give me a Link of your port, removing a status 7 error is pretty easy... And of course @Chuck95 is right , this should go in q&a
To port a 4.2.2 need be compiled from sources, because use new libraries.
And need a new ramdisk compatible with CM10.1.

Yep, you´re right there... Compiling, sadly, doesn´t seem to work for me (has to do with some binarys running on 64-bit Linux ), or I would have long released... nAa claims that his newest kernel is compatible with android 4.x... including 4.2???
