I cant post in the dev forums yet but is there a working root for the SGP321/LTE Xperia Tablet Z running 10.31.A.2.67?
Ive seen a root posted for the same firmware on the Xperia Z by Doomlord but he warns that its for the xperia z only so I don't want to risk bricking my tablet Z by just crossing my fingers it works..
any help would be great, thanks
oh P.S .. Id prefer not to unlock my BL, I love my warranty and as my TZ is only a month old I think its best it remains locked
After posting this a friend who has the same tablet running same firmware explained he used the VROOT 1.7.1 (chinese version) and it worked no problem. So Ive just bit the bullet and tried and it worked first time!
I can CONFIRM that I now have Root on my Xperia TZ / SG321 UK LTE 16GB running 10.31.A.2.67 using VRoot 1.7.1

I would like to root my Arc S without running the risk of using it as a doorstop
I have already unlocked the boot loader and I've tried using Gingerroot v1.2, but it does not work.
I have read up on some forums, of which some say I need to downgrade the ROM to ver 2.3.3 to use Gingerroot?
I also need a legitimate link to a standardized default ROM, plus the software I need to root the phone with via
my PC's USB connection if the Gingerroot method doesn't work.
I reside in South Africa and the phone has a Vodacom ROM pre-installed.
Your advice would really be appreciated.

I still haven't received the update jet, but can't find any information about the release from Tele-2 Netherlands
I also tried manually updating with flashtool, but this doesn't seem to work

If you Ultra is branded or locked to a carrier then you wont be able to update using flashtool. (unless its specifically for your carrier based unit)
You will have to wait for your carrier to push the update directly to its customers.
I also live in the Netherlands. My ultra is not carrier based. At the moment using Vodafone in the past Telfort. But i also didn't received the update yet. I assume countrys like the Netherlands and Belgium are on the bottom of the list.
I never saw anybody else with an ultra overhere, and getting out of the reactions when i'm using the device otber people also saw this phone before
Making the phone carrier free isn't that big of a deal, i think. When lurking the forums at xda you'll find a method i assume. You can looking in the general android part of the forum (interesting stuff overthere), the sony xperia Z and Z1 forums can also be beneficial.

This Monday I buyed an awesome Z2 with my local carrier (TIM-Telecom Italia Mobile) for 15 eur per month
Today I saw on Sony's website that the latest update right now is 17.1.2.A.0.314 and had already solved the camera overheating problems on FW 17.1.1.A.402 which is my main complain about the phone.
I hate to be outdated having I high end phone
So I'm thinking about debrand the phone but I'm afraid I could avoid warranty if so.
I saw this tutorial:

Is it safe? It doesn't matter if I use that UK rom on my italian phone? Can't I use another generic rom to do the process (i.e an italian one)? I can return to the stock TIM rom if anything happens and they will accept it for warranty?

if your device is a Xperia Z2 LTE (D6503) then all for a Z2 (D6503) will work without problem on YOUR Z2 (D6503), unless you have a Z2 D6502 then look for D6502 files
take note that your xperia Z2 warrenty from sony will be voided if you unlock your bootloader or root your device

HI everybody. I live in Italy, I have the 16GB variant of Xperia M4 Aqua (E2333) bought from Amazon.fr, SIM free.
Now I'm stuck with lollipop.
Last week was released the official MM update both in France (16GB variants) both in Italy (8GB) variants (16GB variants are not sold in Italy).
I received an email with the notification of the new software release, but if I check into settings/devicesinfo/softwareupdate no ota available.
If I connect my phone to Pc, Xperia companion says "up to date", also if I check via IMEI it says i have the latest software available.
I updated my phone several times since I bought it, minor updates, I received them almost instantly after the official rollout.
It seems strange to me. Anyone else facing this problem?

I've also noticed that all articles I've seen about the upgrade mention version 26.3.A.0.131, but for E2333 we need 26.3.B.0.131.

Hi im from Macedonia and i have this problem to i contacted sony support and they sad the update will arrrive for evry device at diffrent time it doesent depend on the contry or city that you live in they sad they are doing a roll out so it will arive for our phones as we get on row.

guys the only and the best solution for your problem is to flash the MM update with flashtool i will make it now
go to this link and download the model of your mobile

You are not the only one. I bought an E2333 from Amazon.fr, i live in Italy. Although in France E2333s have received update, and here in Italy 8GB versions too, i didn't saw anything...

Nope, nothing here... Sony Mobile FR says that they have released the update, but the delay isn't their fault, it depends by several factors...
We have only to wait.
Every day, twice a day I connect my phone to Pc and pray.. Uff
