Hi everyone, I am using HTC ONE X + At&t Version with Team Venom ViperXL+ 2.0.0 Rom. Last night i downloaded an app from playstore and my battery was 40%. Furhtermore my device was running from 2 days without charge and still had 40%. Suddenly my device turned off with a beep. I thought it was the app , but to my surprise when i plugged in the charger it then turned on and the battery status was nil, and then gradually it was charging. Can someone please tell me is it normal to happen like this? i never had any issues like this, is it the battery status file issue? Please help.

Well since its a custom rom its not really "perfect". It seems it is either a "Visual bug" giving you wrong stats about how much battery is left (in which case you can use a helpful gadget like "Battery Reborn" , it has a widget with a chart to help you know how much time is left, when was the peak usage..etc)
Or It might be an actual issue with the ROM itself. In which case I suggest you check out the bug's section of the ROM. After all you can't really know until the dev for that rom replies.
Thanks for the help i will certainly download this widget and see if its a visual problem, i m currently running Battery saver widget never had a problem .. but i guess problem never tells before it comes.. .

hey guys something weird is really happening with my 3d...and my search is timing out!
anyway - I left it plugged in over night and the battery percent on taskbar says 100% with green led, but my battery widget (HTC battery) said 96%.
I rebooted this morning and the % from taskbar went from 100 to 80%, but the widget now says 89%.
I've wiped battery stat already...any suggestion? on viper 1.3 rom...or if there's another thread already I apologize for my search not working this morning.
Thanks in advance.

this sounds like it might be a ROM specific question. i'm on my own version of the stock rom and there is no % in the taskbar for the battery. perhaps it is worth posting in your custom ROM thread reading the accuracy of the battery % in the taskbar. chances are, if there is an issue, other users of that ROM will also have the issue and post back in the custom ROM thread as well.
edit: seems there is another thread with only specific battery mods. the OP says he helped do the battery % mods in viper rom also. perhaps this might have more answers/tweaks to help with your issue - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198148
for accurate battery readings, i use the free batterylife widget available in the market and it has worked great on all my android devices.
hope that helps!
Having some issues with the current ron on my phone.. some time ago I loaded miui.us 2.22.17 to my phone followed by siyah 2.3 and all was great in the world.
updated both rom and kernel and now my phone is a nightmare!
In on 2.22.30 miui.us with siyah 2.13 and my phone freezes constantly and gets really really hot.after a battery pull and reboot - the battery looses 900mah and all my Google services force close.. have made no changes beyond updating the ron and the kernel..
Additionally, Im wondering if something is wrong with the ron as battery consumption while on standby with Wi-Fi is on triples even when display is dimmed and background data as well as auto sync are turned off and the phone is in airplane mode. I thought battery calibration would solve this but hasn't changed a thing.. even while the phone is plugged in to charge the battery's draining (not charging) as long as Wi-Fi is on! Tested with 3 different chargers..
can anyone tell me what I can do to get these problems solved? Is flashing back to a Sammy based rom the only thing I can do?

I am currently using the ultimate hd Rom v3.0.2 but the battery drains very fast even though I change all my settings to the least battery consuming. The worse thing is that my phone will show tat I left 15% of battery and the next moment it shows 1% as a result, my phone frequently shut down. Any ways to solve this problem??
check buttery consumers

Make sure that you have no app that prevents phone to sleep. Check your most battery consumers in android settings. Check app that always running (in manage app)

Seems like an issue with the battery.Did you try another one?
I suppose you have already tried another ROM\
Regards,
navmad
I think the problem lies with the Rom. I pmed.jader who created this Rom but he didn't reply. And the launcher always restarts which gets on my nerves.
I would like to ask u guys if anyone of u used a custom Rom and the launcher doesn't restart?
Pls tell me wat Rom is tat and I would like to download it.
Hi xda! So I've been having a problem for a couple of months with my SGSII and i have searched a lot but i haven't found a solution yet.
The problem is that battery behaves normally and has a normal drain rate, but when it reaches 40% more or less it drains massively and drops to 10 % (more or less, could be 11% or 9%. It is not something precise and accurate) and screen immediately starts to flicker, backlight as well, then the signal is lost and phone shuts down. After that i can not turn it on unless i charge it.
I have looked a lot and pretty much all of the forums recommended to buy a new battery. I bought another battery (original) and the problem still continued. I've also tried swapping batteries with a friend, but the problem still happened to me and not to him. Also I have tried a lot of Roms, I've tried going back to stock as well, but still nothing.
Currently I'm running Cyanogenmod 10.1 RC2 because it gives me the best battery life in those 60%.
I leave you an attachment of a screenshot. As you can see battery percent dropped a lot at the end, and i wasn't using it heavily.
Thank you in advance.
It is a hardware issue, I had the same problem (battery would drain below 10% though), sent it to Samsung, Motherboard and Charge Socket got replaced, I don't know which one was causing it because I had other issues like broken home button too.

May be there would be some hardware related problem. But why dont you give a try to to a wakelock detector app like betterbattery stats or wakelock detector? Atleast you will know which app is eating your battery or is it a hardware related problem.

Thank you for answering. Unfortunately I have already rooted my device hence voiding my warranty. Maybe i could have it fixed by some technician.

I have tried a lot of battery related apps. BBS is one if them. I haven't seen anything unsual. In fact I've also tried apps like greenify. However battery life in the first 60% of battery is actually good. After 40% comes the problem.
Send it to samsung
Install triangle away and reset counter then flash stock jb rom from your country & provider

just curious if anyone else has this issue. ive been on lollipop 5.0.2 for awhile most recently on eXistenZ and i have had this really annoying issue with all the lollipop builds out there where the battery charges to 82% to 92% give or take and then the screen turns on and the battery charging icon flickers on and off which then keeps the screen on so wont charge to 100%.
i quickly tried (30 mins) PureX 5.1.1 rom and i might have the same issue because it flickers on the charge icon a few times then carried on as normal couldn't really test it as i need a working phone for the rest of the day.
I rolled it back to kitkat today and the issue is gone. i thought it was a fault with the battery but i changed that out for a brand new one also im using the original charger and cable so its not that.
if anyone has had this issue let me know please

If ur problem solved with kitkat means it should be with Lolipop then. But the bug u mentioned is not in my rom. I am always charging from 0% to 100% without any problems..
So did u flashed any stock lolipop ftf? Try it and see...
Its definitely a lollipop issue was reading in to it and a few other people have the issue with it most on Sony phones one post mentioned it something to do with battery saving stopping it charging past 95% but cant find anything else about it. Ill still keep looking as its bugging the hell out of me
But I will most likely stick with kitkat never had any issues with it and my battery life is bearly twice as long
