when you flash something new rom on your phone, the play store takes some time to start the download i mean at least like 5 minutes or may be more sometimes. happened to me. it later starts normally. just wait for it

Pls help, power cycling/rebooting!

Sorry if its been asked, I installed loopt and right after registering, the rebooting started, factory reset didn't work, reboots every 2 min, not rooted
Edit: app totally messed up my phone, didn't try the ruu but sprint gave me a new phone no hassle

link to "loopt" please. It's possible to remove anything, the question is how hard it will be.
EDIT: this is a simple app correct? I would suggest removing it, email the dev, if he asks you for a log, reinstall, catch log, report. It is not the phone. Good luck

So you had no reboots prior to installing that app? Then you get a reboot every two minutes after installing it, right? You did a factory reset, but it's still happening? If that were happening to me, I would say the next option is to run an RUU, and see if that clears it up. If you were rooted I'd suggest wiping system, boot, data, and cache's, then install a new rom...but you're not rooted so I think RUU would be your next best bet.
delete this mod
I uninstalled loopt,( a gps app compatible with blackberry and metro pcs) but still got reboots, even after factory reset , app isn't installed, it happen right after I tried to ping a freind http://market.android.com/details?id=com.loopt I emailed the dev to test it on evo3d..hope no1 runs into this problem too..ill try the ruu when I'm out of work, if it don't work looks like I'm gonna take a trip to sprint store

[Q] FC on Games

Very strange problem I have is:
First I installed a game and playing it with no problems.
Then I quit the game.
Later on the day I opened the game again to play but it FC right away to homescreen.
Only reinstall will help until I close the game again.
It happens with Sims Freeplay, Need for Speed Hot Persuit and many more.
I have stock BLG8 rom and just kernel from Chainfire.
But I tried also JB roms and other original ones but it doesnt matter problem still excist.
Does someone have the same problem now many gameloft and ea games I cant play anymore.
Are you rooted if so then go in to CWM and wipe cache, that may help.
Also once you installed the games try rebooting the phone. That also may help.
Ive got plenty of Gameloft and EA games and not having this problem at all.
But hope this helps.

[Q] Error message, need help

I am running Android 4.2.1 and have not installed or updated any apps over past week. This morning, I switch on my phone and this error popped up (pic). I tried restarting it several times during the day and the error is persistent. My phone feels sluggish but otherwise functions as it should. How do I find out what app is causing this error message? It appears to be system related. Is there an app in Play Store that can tell me exactly what is causing this error?
BTW, I rooted my phone some 2 months ago and everything works well so I doubt it is because my phone is rooted. All my apps installed via Play Store so shouldn't be any malwares involved.
Mainly this error is caused by using a particular rom.
Changing the rom might solve the problem.

try it and then report..
OK, I will try your suggestions. Now I have to read up on just how to do that

Sorry I could not manage to try cleaning the cache because my phone decided to brick itself the following morning. Just like that. This morning, alarm on my phone went off like usual and I always do a restart to be fresh for the day. The phone is stuck at green android man. I did a power and vol+ and got a dead android man. I created another thread asking for help in reviving my dead phone. If you have comments, I will appreciate it.

Whatsapp and Instagram not working after ICS update

Hello!
So, I updated my GT-P7500 yesterday to the ICS stock version. Since then I haven't been able to use whatsapp, nor instagram.
I've tried reinstalling both apps, to no avail. I've also performed a factory reset, to see if it would get the apps working again... everything else works fine on 3G.
By the way, I can't really test to see if those apps will work on wifi.

Uninstall both apps...
Boot to recovery and wipe cache... and then reboot..
Reinstall apps... if that doesn't work...
Uninstall the apps..
Then go into you're app manager and uninstall the playstore updates( do it on both the playstore apps listed.. if you have two )..Do not uninstall the apps themselves. Since it sounds like you're not rooted. This shouldn't be an issue, but I had to put it out there.. for you're safety..
After that..boot back to recovery and wipe cache... reboot..
Reinstall apps...... let me know what's up..

Thanks for replying
So, I'm rooted.
Forgot to add that to the topic, but I've tried uninstalling the apps and wiping the cache...
Just tried uninstalling the updates on the playstore and cleaning the cache, and it still didn't fix the issue.

Since you're rooted... do you have a custom recovery( cwm or TWRP )
If so wipe dalvik with the cache wipe and see what happens..
I'll look around for a better solution

Yeah, I have the cwm.
I wiped the dalvik cache and it didn't fix the issue...
I've noticed youtube app is not working as well.
I can tether the connection and open youtube normally on my laptop, though...

Sorry for the late reply... but from what I can tell.. this is a known or atleast consistent problem with other users... I haven't seen any fixes, but you might try an older version of the apps and see what happens..
Good Luck

Hey Gil!
I've managed to solve the issue, so I will post here my solution. If anyone facing that problem step by this thread, he or she might have a chance solving it.
I had given up solving it, and downloaded CyanogenMod 10.1...
I did a factory reset on my tablet, and tried to flash the cm through cwm... For some reason it didn't work, it gave me an error.
Kinda pissed, I decided to try once more to solve my issue or give up and go for another rom, such as gambarou.
I re-flashed the stock ICS using odin.
Booted and voilĂ , everything worked!
Thanks for your help, Gil! =]

That's great... and thanks for posting the answer..
I must ask.. did you re-download the stock ICS file.. if so.. the first might have been a bad dl... if not.. then I guess during the first flash, something went sideways..
either way.. glad you're up and running at full speed..

Notification drawer not pulling down !!

Hello guys,
I'm on official 7.1.1 lineageos. I was watching a video on youtube and the phone got a bit laggy after a while, i restarted it and then the notification drawer wont pull down anymore, no notifications show and home + recents button wont work as well.
I tried searching in xda, androidcentral and other places, and tried to clear data/cache for all system-related apps. I tried restarting the phone, pulling out the battery for 10 mins, going in and out of safe mode, all with no luck.
Anyone faced such an issue and was able to resolve it without full wipe and install again please let me know. Thank you !!

Thank you for sharing
I remember i used it once or twice when i was on JB and ICS. But KK was amazing so i didnt need it. And so far, LOS is flying :good: :good:
I got the same problem, I'm tired of reflashing everytime . All Nougat roms do this.
