Hello,
Bought my ATT Galaxy Note 2 I317 in July of 2013, rooted it and now I would like to upgrade it to a later feature. My concern is I've forgotten what file I used to upgrade it with (I do know that it was from XDA). So my questions are how can I figure out what file I have, or do I have to take the phone to a factory reset?

Hi guys,
I got a galaxy note a few weeks ago and heard about the official ICS release. I do have a dilemma.
Before the problem, here's a few things you should need to know:
1. Not a rooter (cos im scared hehe)
2. I checked my product code and it says its from Switzerland.
3. I use my phone here in the Philippines.
Here's the dilemma:
ICS is now released here in the Ph and when I checked OTA and Kies I dont have any updates. Is this because my product code is Switzerland? Also, when i go to Tools>Firmware upgrade and initialization it says that GT-N7000 does not support initializing. Again does this have something to do with my product code?
I do hope that you guys can help me, upgrading to ICS isnt that big a deal for me, but I'd really like to have the option of having my phone receive and implement updates and upgrades.
Thanks!
Hi there! I really hope someone could help me
with my problem. Well first of, I'm an entire noob with
Androids as I have been a Nokia loyalist
(sucks to be me). I have a factory unlocked S3 GT-i9300
bought from China and was sent to me
here in the Philippines. I have tried
upgrading it to JB 4.1.1 via OTA and Kies
but I've had encountered roadblocks for
the longest time. That's when a friend of mine suggested to use Odin but the
mofo didn't tell me that there were
other stuff that I need to consider (all
the Phone, PDA and CSC stuff posted in
the first post of this thread). So I
downloaded from www.samfirmware.com an official JB 4.1.1 ROM for Globe Telecoms
Philippines since that's the network that
I'm using and flashed it on my S3 via
Odin. Everything went well except for
the part where I'm being asked for a
network unlock code! WAAAAH! My phone is now locked and I don't
even where it's locked to. Is there a way for me to unlock it again
without having to pay those unlock
code generators? PLEASE HELP!!! TIA!

I have a AT&T Galaxy Note that is unlocked for use on T-Mobile, and want to do update to Jellybean but all I can find is ICS, and all the links for ICS warn about this update, I found many...does anyone know which one is the best for update to ICS with AT&T Galaxy Note for T-Mobile service??
I don't want to brick this phone so I'm hoping someone has already done this? and knows which is the best setup for success.
I have done a search on this and have so many to choose from?...makes me dizzy!! LOL!...this will be my first time doing this so experience is minimal at best...
Hello. Very quick question I'm hoping someone might be able to answer definitively. I picked up a Galaxy Note 3 Neo today (model SM-N507) which is the Taiwanese version. It has only been updated to 4.3 whereas some other territories are on 4.4.X. My question is, would it be possible to flash one of the Official Firmware builds from Sammobile and NOT risk bricking the phone?
For example, in the event that the flashed build has different LTE bands, would a problem like this actually brick the phone, or would I (theoretically) be able to use it, just without LTE? I am willing to experiment so to speak, so long as it doesn't actually prevent me from using the device.
In the past I had purchased a Hong Kong Galaxy Tab 7.7 that wasn't updated to JellyBean and flashed a Malaysian Firmware without a hitch, but in said case the model numbers were the same. With this, I would be flashing SM-N505 or such.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
