4.2.2 LEAP Wifi problem - Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Is anyone having a problem connecting to corporate Wifi that used Cisco LEAP since the upgrade to 4.2.2? I can longer log into our corporate wifi, even though LEAP wasn't listed as an option as long as I had auth set to PEAP it was working on 4.1.2. I have tried tweaking the settings with WIFI advanced configuration editor but that did not solve my authentication problems.
Does anyone know a workaround to solve LEAP auth problems on 4.2.2?
I am using a US SGP311 16GB model, if no work around exists is there a good guide to revert back to 4.1.2? I have seen various post for DE and FR versions but I assume I need the US version.
Thanks
Dan

gave up looking for a solution and found a link and image to revert back to 4.1.2, disabled the update service and I guess I am staying with 4.1.2...

[Q] Anyone else having problem with phase2 authentication of 802.1x network?

Any Fixes?
I have issue with stock ROM with my M250K, which not support 802.1x at all. after flashing Villain 1.4, I can connect to 802.1x network in both office and home APs.
Ahh.... I remember getting around these issues by manually editing wpa_supplicant on my Hero... those were the days
Thanks for the reply.
on stock too. Want to try to get a feel of the stock ROM 1st since i've just bought it for few days.

[Q] 802.1x EAP on Galaxy S2

I have been working on this issue since I got my phone and have hit a dead end. I have tried all of the solutions that I can find on XDA, Google Bugs, and other sources with no luck.
I am attempting to connect to a Wifi network (802.1x EAP) Using the following Settings:
EAP: TTLS
Phase2: MSCHAPv2
No certificates
Currect Identity and Password for my network.
I have attempted the 'fix' that says to use the WiFi Advanced Configuration Editor App to correct the settings. This did not work for me. From what I can read it's a wide problem across 2.3.6 based Galaxy S2 Roms.. Are there any ROMS that have fixed this? Is there anything that a Rom developer can do to fix this or is this a Google/Samsung screwup?
Thanks for any assistance, I would REALLY love to be able to stop using my data plan while at work.
P.S. I'm currently Running ISCrewD Blue version 1.6.1
Connecting to EAP network was a known issue on the old version of iced out I believe. I'm having no problems using EAP wifi on stock 2.3.4 and had no issues with unnamed 2.2.1 which was based off stock 2.3.6.
A new version of iced out was just released you should give that a shot
My bad just realized you are running icscrewed. Maybe reverting to stock 2.3.4 will help

Hey,
i am struggling with the same issue. I am using the ISCrewD Blue version 1.6.1, let me know if some one has a fix..
please please help me out..

[Q] Cannot Connect to PEAP Network

Well, since the JB update (Which I wish I never did) I can't connect to my University's network. From what I have seen, this seems to be a problem with numerous phones running 4.1.1.
The network requires PEAP w/ MSCHAPV2.
This is simply not a problem I can continue to deal with. My phone absolutely HAS to have Wifi at the Uni since I roam in the buildings sometime, and I don't want to wipe my phone before I know if the problem is resolved.
So what are my options? Can anyone confirm that the stock ROM will work with the above network after a wipe? If not, how can I downgrade to ICS where the phone worked great? Or, if that isn't possible, can anyone confirm any ROMs working with the previously mentioned network configuration?
and rant:
This phone was absolutely amazing with ICS, and performed better than my friend's GS3's. Now I'm beginning to hate it like my original Galaxy :crying:
Are you rooted ? Are you s-off? Also there's a few methods you can try that worked on older android builds I can post the links if you like. However what methods have you already tried?

Completely stock, no root. What methods are you talking about? Methods to get the Wi-fi to connect? I haven't found anything concrete on how to fix the problem, and the bug reports on Google never seemed to have any fixes.

so the uni network is the only one that you cant connect to? home network works fine?
Change frequency settings from auto to 2.4 Ghz
I had the same problem with my One X+ when trying to connect to my work PEAP network. Apparently it's a bug in Android 4.1.
I found the fix here: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34212#c10
Flash the zip using recovery fixed my connection problems. Hope it helps!

uncheck DLNA from the advanced wifi settings. if this doesnt work, change the wifi freq band to 2.4 or 5 accordingly to which ever the router is.

[BUG] Android 4.3 not handling proxy correctly

Curious if anyone else has experienced this issue? Since upgrading to android 4.3 roms, I have not been able to use my home proxy correctly. Connections to my proxy have been successful, in that, android still reports internet connection, however when using apps (that are blocked on my work wifi) are showing no connection. 4.2.2 roms all work fine.
The app I'm using is ProxyDroid however I also tried setting the proxy in native settings with the same result. Is there a change in the implementation of proxy services since 4.2 roms? Thanks in advance.
Maybe it will work with Drony or SandroProxy

Drony, is the wrong kind of proxy (server not client). SandroProxy isn't working either though (I mean in 4.3), however its very difficult to use; It's possible I screwed up setting it up (still was showing 'listening 127.0.0.1').
Drony is subset of SandroProxy so it acts the same way. You probably need just Drony.

Interesting implementation. Perhaps I will try it again. I'm curious is there a widget for quickly connecting/disconnecting from proxy's? Unfortunately running through my house its not a very fast connection (one of the biggest reasons I went with ProxyDroid, there is a quick connect/disconnect).
Drony will go on if active wifi has proxy set on localhost 8020.
It goes off if wifi goes down.
What can you miss with Drony is that not all apps will work.
For example WhatsApp do not respect androiod os proxy settings.
To have all working you need rooted phone and SandroProxy.
It install his own local copy of iptables to redirect all traffic.
But has more features and it is harder to set up as you find out .
It is more a developer tool than a plain proxy.
There is some wizard to help you out.
And acts the same way as Drony listening if active wifi has proxy set that points to it.
