Voice command menu - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I was playing with my camera settings and when I selected voice, a menu poped up that let me turn on voice command and select which service I want. Clock, camera etc. Since then I have not been able to get back to that menu. I have searched, and cannot find a refrence. Anyone know how to navigate to the voice command menu? Thanks.

After a few hours I found the answer. First its called the voice control, not command. Access by turning on s voice using the microphone icon. Select the menu key and then settings. Lots of options there including the menu to select which service you would like to control by voice. I especially like the off, snooze command using the alarm.

Home Button Changes Function (double tap)

Hey, I've noticed that my home button changes its function on its own. I used to have it set up to open the camera, but now it's back to using the voice command feature. This is my second attic - but it happened on both.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Go to Settings-
Applications-
Double Tap Home Launch Then chose what you want to work as double tap.
Thanks. I know how to change it. What the problem is though, is that after I set it (to the camera for example), it would change back to the default voice command randomly. No recent application installs either

[Q] Help! No power button!

Hi,
Coz of water-damage my power button now works randomly. It can be used to lock the screen, but it doesn't work every time.
I am not able to bring up the "Phone Options" menu (the one which has the Power Off option n all).
I have found alternative app options to lock the screen (Screen Off Utils), What I am looking for now is an app alternative to bring up the "Phone Options" menu
Please YELP!!!
Search market for soft keys.

Found 'em
Thanks man! That helped.
Found "Softkeys", "Button Savior" and "NOOKcolor Power Button". Trying 'em out now.
Thnx
Ok...Not what I wanted :-(
Hi,
So...those tools did only a part of what I wanted. I am actually looking for anything that can bring up the "Phone Options" menu. The one you get when you long-press the power button
None of the above did that. So...still need help!
Try spareparts and spareparts plus from the market.
And get a coaster for your cup.lol
Edit: look for a paid app called "Reboot Control Widget"
Sorry, I did not get your problem at first.

Uh, there are tons of widgets to toggle airplane mode, sound and various reboots.
Thanks. That gave me the "Power Off" option I was looking for. So 99% of my prob is solved. But still if there is something that could trigger the "Phone Menu" thing, would be a great help.
widgetsoid has some options, but i'm not sure about this "phone menu". first time you said it i thought you meant the 3845#*500# code
The Phone Options Menu
This is the Menu I am talking about. Is anything that can trigger this menu?
A command that can be saved as an icon on the home screen?
Anything of the sorts.
I think you should look at softkeys settings, there was something like long press or something like that.

Sounds list and used code list

What's the filename/type and location for a screen off sound (primary question), screen on sound, power off sound, and file type for a power down animation?
Also is there a proper list of those ussd codes you can type on the dialpad to perform functions like reboot, wipe phone, check unlock status etc.
Xda app search is giving me no results.

I like the okay Google feature available for GEL but I use nova for the features and lose the ability for voice control UNLESS I long press menu and get to the Google now app..my question is..Is it possible to add the voice control features to nova without using GEL or long pressing a cap key ?

Click to collapse
There are some alternatives but none of them work as well as the OK Google in GEL. The best solution IMO is Open Mic+, which even allows you to change the hot word (from OK Google to any other English phrase) and also activate Google Now by waving above your phone (though very buggy) or shaking the phone (also somewhat buggy). Additionally, Open Mic+ is always listening so you can activate in any app.
Another way to set up quick access through Nova is by going to Nova settings, selecting "Gestures and Buttons", and setting "Home Button" to Voice Search. This allows you to go directly into Google Now Voice search with just one regular short press of the home button.
Hope I helped.

I've used open mic+ when it first came out as a beta app and I wasn't overly impressed...I had an idea of using tasker to set up a task of using OK Google on top of nova launcher but I'm sure that can't be done BC I'm pretty sure OKG is part of GELs mainframe
