I don't know if this has been posted or discussed before. But here it goes:
One of the biggest things that bug me in ICS is the inability to sync Facebook contacts (using AOSP/AOKP/CM9/MIUI,etc).
While I've found a workaround, but I've never been able to find/create a flashable CWM file.
Well, I stumbled upon this today and tried it on both my Galaxy Nexus as well as my Galaxy Note with both CM9 and AOKP ROMS -- And it works.
If you find this as useful as I do, please say thanks or donate to the person who created it.

Thanks! It does indeed work on the Note as well as the GNex.
I was able to do it via a complex method I found after some searching, but was never able to streamline it into a CWM process.
On a side note, I've heard that Facebook sync breaks Picasa sync, is that true? It doesn't really matter to me, as I don't use Picasa..
Great job nonetheless!

This method shouldn't break picasa sync. Because it doesn't change any field that is already there. But the Fix done by Romann in AOKP Build#7 was hardcoded into framework-res , and that might have broken it.
One side effect : you have to flash this again if you wipe your device/ contacts storage. And you should flash only after 1 boot after wipe.
Could this fix work on a stock 4.0.4 gnex rom (obviously rooted and with custom recovery installed)?

Does this sync high resolution pictures like HaxSync or is it limited because it's using Facebook's API?

It uses facebooks native API.
Maybe some of you recognised this problem too, but after I used the search button I didn't find anything.
So after I upgraded my ST27i from ICS to JB, I'm experiencing heavy lags when someone calls me. Usually when I try answer the call, I have to wait about 8-10 sec to actually answer that call and to start talking.
I've tried it on stock JB, and custom JB too but both of them have the same issue. On ICS everything is working fine without bugs.
Anyone got some solution for it?
Best Regards,
+1 same here. Sometimes when dialling, too.

I think it is because of the phone app that needs to boot

You rooted? Try adding this at the end of your build.prop see if it makes a difference.

Hi. Any solutions for this problem? Have been facing the same thing for months...
Delete call history
I think the only way to fix this is to download apps from play store call "Ex dialer"nearly all Xperia u user rate it 5 star.
Correct me if I'm wrong
If you have CWM, wipe cache partition and use Seeder 2.0
This is a ram management problem causes phone to release all apps in memory and then reboots phone I have solved my problem by installing clean master from the play store and after its setup not 1 hang from phone.apk calling out and incoming fine

Finally I got some new results today, after struggling with this problem for months.
First I tried all the suggested methods (clearing the call log, installing all those apps), and none of them worked -- except CWM that I didn't try, because I wasn't root.
What solved my problem, was to do a clean flash (and wipe everything during flashing). The problem was totally gone. Note that "wiping every thing" during flashing is a key thing that I guess last time I hadn't done.
Everything was good until I restored all my backed up contacts -- around 1500 contacts. Then it was laggy again!
Then I again did a hard reset. Problem was gone again. But this time I was lucky enough to restore the contacts, and have my system in a healthy state -- no lags so far! I don't know what was different this time, but it's got to have something to do with the contacts!
I'll keep you updated if I find any changes -- worth reporting.

Just remove any VOIP software you have like viber, skype , etc. I know you might be using them but yeah sony's rom has issues with viber specially which causes this lag.. if u wanna use viber use a cm rom or stock ics, or gb. JB is buggy in terms of 3rd party VOIP support

Has anyone else noticed this? I swear my HTC One was the smoothest, lag free phone I have ever owned.. yet ever since the 4.3 update scrolling is choppy, touch screen is waaay less responsive, I've even had the browser freeze up quite a few times.
This is after a Factory Data Reset, which I always do when I upgrade firmware.
Very disappointed. Actually, pissed. Gonna FDR again to see if it helps.
Anyone else noticed this?
Ok so I FDR again and it seems to be perfect (so far)
Maybe something didn't quite clear out on the last reset.. it's happened before on my GS3 when I used to flash a ton of ROMs. Just not used to it happening with stock
Haven't finished setting up the phone yet, so we will see.
I'm experiencing the same issue right now. Did the FDR work for you?
Yeah it worked

Not sure what you mean. You can navigate using Google maps, it is built in with voice navigation. I use Google Now to start navigating.

I've been using AIRDROID for quite some time now, and I never had issues with its connection. Actually I think it's a well developed app, stable and fast. Maybe you're experiencing issues with your wi-fi connection...
I use the hangouts extension for Chrome. It works for me no problems. Cause I'm logged into Chrome all the time anyway and use Hangouts on my Z2 (I use a dual booting MBP with Retina Os 10.10 and Win7 also iMac desktop dual booting). So try Hangouts for Chrome if you use Chrome on your phone and have a google account:good:
Some PPL use - BlueStacks
This is a Android Tablet Emulator with Notifications for the Desktop.

Actually it seems to have had a bug if both computer and phone are on same LAN, but they fixed it now http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/airdroid/logging-website-fails-to-connect-t2889745
It still sometimes fails to connect and fails to send messages, even in the updated version.
Didn't notice the bug. Thanks for the info.

I must say, after trying Airdroid for a few months it's a good idea but severely unusable due to it's bugs. It's so unreliable and unstable it can't even connect half the time.

Hello XDA!
I'm having troubles with my Honor 7 and the microphone is part of them...
It only works on a phone call (which is nice) but doesn't work when I'm taking a video, trying to talk to Google Assistant or thing like that.
Do you know how I can solve my problem?
Thank you for helping me!

What are you using for taking vids? Stock or a downloaded app? Google asst. has been giving issues lately. Try updating the asst. via Google play. If that doesn't help, try uninstalling and reinstalling it. If that fails, grab an older version from apkmirror.

Why not try a factory reset before reinstalling stock firmware. It's easier and in a sense achieves the same as a reinstall.
