MIUI ROMS? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Where are the MIUI Roms? I heard a really stable version came out for the at&t s4 and it looks good. Any word from anyone working on a port?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app

MIUI is a pain in the butt to port from my experience, takes a skilled dev to get it working nice on Samsung devices. From what I remember it takes a lot more than just apn changes to get data, wifi, etc.

Alright... Yea I just was wondering why. Thanks for the reply.

Question on porting roms.

Will ported rom use the same ril has cyanogenmod or will it use the ril used in sense?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
Depends on if it is AOSP or Sense based.
Like a 3.0 port. It seems weird that we dont have ports by now

3g is a lot different than LTE, and it will take time to make non- OEM ROMs. It's nice out, go for a walk or something, lol.

NFL app in asop

Is there a way to get it working on an asop rom yet?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
No, not at the moment
just a heads up, it more than likely never will, aosp devs would have to include the VZW part of the framework and most have said no.

Ok. I was hoping there was a way to add the files needed to run it later on. Like in a patch or .apk or something. Its ok. I'm running liquid 3.2 and I got a DroidX so I might be able to do everything else I want with that

thats good to know. i wonder if it will work on galaxy nexus when i get it.

Possible ports from skyrocket or t-mobile sgs2

I have been able to port a few roms from the skyrocket or tm sgs2 and just feeling out to see if anyone would be interested in using them

Well that is clearly subjective. Remember we don't all find beauty in the same things. I'm sure many of us find the blue or stock themes attractive and would love a port if you have time.
I was only stating that ive tried porting ones that i like since i have only been using these for personal use. I have only heard from one dev so far so when i get off work i will put his up. So itll be 1 so far until i hear from more devs since i will not post them without permission

In your opinion would something like this be feasible:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484223
Or would it be possible to get his permission/work with him to modify the tool to make porting ROMs to the Note any easier?
edit: It almost sounds like it would be possible to create a "hellraiser" package that you flash in CWM right after flashing a ROM that would make all of the necessary device specific changes for you and would allow flashing of most ROMs.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1335377
After entropy created that AT&T OG SGS2 roms became super plentiful as many of the I9100 ROMs were hellraise-able.
That would be pretty nice. Not sure if their leak is the same as ours but if someone could make a conversion script to run after flashing the rom that would be great to. I used to run t989 roms on my skyrocket using that conversion script by reaperex if I'm not mistaken.

I would be interested in getting something fresh for the ICS.
Yea i am real familliar with the one for the i777 considering i had that phone before the note and i believe i still have it on my computer. I will get intouch with him and see if i can get permission to alter his build and if he agrees ill post that
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
If i cant get permission by the time i get off work i will go home and work on a cwm flashable file to flash after a rom

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe once we get cm9, MIUI will then become a possibility.

That's what I thought. I just figured cm9 will be the first.
There is an miui lock screen app on the saurom rom but I never use it.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
the others are correct. U can usually expect to see miui not too far after cm9, and we have a unofficial cm9 right now thats pretty darn good. I suspect theres a dev out there possibly working on it. I thought about doing it myself. If only i had more time. May look into it this weekend
As long as someone in China who develops uses the note

S4 slow?

I suggest flashing Hyperdrive ROM and following steps accordingly. This has been my savior everytime I try a new ROM. The developer is amazing. Check it out

All the roms are fast. Everyone should just try each one out and decide which they like the most.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda premium
Even stock is fast. I always turn off animations under dev options to give it more "snap". Stock or custom rom.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
I'm on stock ME7 with force gpu rendering enabled and this is easily the fastest stock experience I've ever had. Only thing that's been faster was AOSP on my GS3/N2. I definitely can't complain.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Rocking Hyperdrive myself, Touch Wiz is the smoothest I have experienced.
I'm on bone stock me7 nothing changed. Faster then custom mdk ROMs I ran. I gave up. Updated to me7. IDC I have a nexus 7 for my crack flash toy. This is just my phone.

Oyeah if you are on HD, install the Death Star theme.. so good
Most of the TW ROMs run pretty well, including stock. However, they all run like junk compared to aosp.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
Run Dubbsys Google edition rom stock.
It has Google wallet, ir blaster works. Just a smooth Google experience we all wanted.
It also has the tw camera working, but still not fully operational, which is fine.

I look forward to custom ROM's once we get an unlocked Bootloader again :crying:
This phone is just plain fast. Unless you messed something up during a flash or installed an app thats causing a problem than I don't see a reason why it would be slow at all.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
I'm running hyperdrive release 7. 8 is out now but haven't bothered to flash it yet. Really liking 7. I normally don't flash ever release. I skip a few here and there. I wait for a bunch of changes to be made before updating.

Agreed. AOSP is a thing of the past. Time to grow and let go. TW is an amazing thing and I would really like more development from it. Hyperdrive is one of the best TW roms you can get for your S4 right now in my honest opinion. It is very solid and SBreen94 is an amazing developer. Always there for us fellow flashers.

Except when it comes to getting a fully functional camera experience
Well once carriers stop rom updates and tw development slows down, all that comes into effect is aosp since it's constantly being updated; that's in another year from now though.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4
I have a really hard time staying on an AOSP ROM at the moment...they all seem to have bugs and force closes...cm 10.2 is working pretty well for me right now and the new focus camera is pretty good...also Bluetooth problems as well...still a great rom though...TW is hard to beat though with everything functioning and working perfectly
