Xposed framework not compatible? - Micromax A116

Hello everyone!
I have canvas HD, rooted with CWM running stock 4.1. About a month ago, I had installed Xposed framework,(to use greenify) but I had issues with it. My phone started acting strange like battery drained very quickly, when battery less than 15% instead of blinking red LED, the red LED was constantly on. So I figured maybe our stock ROM is not compatible with Xposed and ultimately went back to using stock framework. I want to know if I'm the only one having this problem if yes, then how can I solve it?
PS. The only thing I can think of to make it work is by installing a custom ROM but I don't want to go down that road because I have never used a custom ROM and I don't plan to either as I'm still fairly new to android and I like the stock ROM.

you can install custom roms without any fear! most of the mtk devices can be brought back to life if it bricked during the process..

Thanks! But I don't want to switch ROMs as I like my stock one, all I want it to install Xposed framework without having any issues like I did before. My battery went crazy the day I installed the framework. I got it fully charged in 6mins! And it took 10 mins to fully drain it with minimal use
Is our stock 4.1 ROM not compatible with Xposed framework? Have you tried it before??

Thanks! So I think our stock 4.1 is not compatible with this framework.

@vermajai93:
Bro, I have installed xposed framework and also using greenify. It works perfectly well. You install the xposed framework and along with it you install Gravitybox. This is a very useful app I'm which you can select when the battery light should go off and on based on your preferences. It has other many useful tweaking options for your phone.
Regarding your battery issue you can try using battery calibration app(available in playstore) and follow the onscreen instructions. It will solve your sudden battery drainage issue.
I understand your concern for not willing to change your rom, because even I like the stock ROM, and in my opinion if you like it, you keep it! Simple. No need to change it.
Hope this helped you. Don't forget to hit thanks

Rom recommendations?

Hello all, I'm new around here but no stranger to the galaxy tab & gt i9000 forums. I've flashed many roms and love every minute of it
I lost my original galaxy s last week but luckily my insurance covered it. The company didn't have any in stock, so i was automatically upgraded to the S II, which I received today. RESULT!
Anyways, the development section is HUGE here so i was wondering whether anyone could recommend a rom or two to try out. I upgraded manually to 2.3.5 (XWKI8) and I'm rooted
I'm after something fairly close to stock. And by this I mean Samsung stock, I like all their apps etc! But also as themable as possible. On the original galaxy s I was a big fan of darky's rom & also used cm7 as well as a few others. I'm using overcome on my tab and looking forward to trying their rom when it's released...
Any pointers would be really helpful *finger Hoovers over thanks button*

Try revolution rom . this is a base rom and very expandable with the kitchen app. You won't regret it.

agree,it's a great rom!
revolution rom with speedmod t41 kernel, _ _ _ king great.
Jkays themes and mods can be used on rooted stock Samsung roms.
Check the theme section for themes that can be used with odexed firmware.

Hey guys, so I upgraded to revolution and really like it just one prob- the different mods work well but the status bar and battery mods aren't working for me. Tried wiping cache and dalvik but remains as stock :-( so I'll need to investigate further. But besides that my quadrant is through the roof! Thanks!

I have great battery life with that ROM, but I'm running Trinity kernel. I'd suggest trying a custom kernel like Trinity or KTmanta.

Here's the thread for Trinity http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2083885

While that ROM gets ok battery life, it isnt the best there is. Smaller ROMs with less features tend to get more battery as they dont try and do so much stuff. But still, I dont see a problem with AOKP PUB, it still is ok enough on battery. The kernel has a lot to do with battery since it controls your CPU speed, scheduler (which some use more or less CPU), and GPU, as well as voltages. So the right kernel combo can give much better or worse battery life.
Alright so i booted into recovery mode and installed the trinity kernel. Now once i cleared cache/dalvik and fixed permissions, i have booted up and in settings it still says the kernel is: 3.4.5-g3e87446-dirty. Its the same as before, did i do something wrong?
Its possible the ROM you are on has Trinity installed by default, or the kernel didnt install right. Also you dont need to fix permissions.
I'd try and reflash the kernel again, and post back if it doesn't work.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using xda app-developers app
Still not working, any ideas? It did say updating android when i booted up and scanned app my apps, but no change in kernel
That's really strange, do you get any errors when flashing?

CleanROM with stock Kernel has great battery life on mine.
Nope everything working fine, but i cant seem to get this to work. Ill try the KTmanta kernel and post back.
Alright so i got the KTmanta kernel to work, so i guess the trinity one doesnt work with mine? Now how can i see how much of a battery improvement this made? Is there an app or something? Thanks guys
Kernel and app in the first link, premade settings in the second link if you want them. Settings get placed in the tweaking apps' folder and loaded from within the app itself

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40087947&postcount=2741
What does that app do specifically?
Allows you to tweak all kernel related settings
All i really need is better battery life lol
Then use enigma1987 settings as a base for further optimization. Read the forum to get the knowledge about the different options that the Tweaker app offers and adjust them on your own taste. I am getting an average of 8h+ screen on time with good performance
Well when the next KTManta kernel version comes out I will be putting out a new version of the "Butterlicious" settings as there are major changes to the kernel. In addition I will also post a pre-made settings file designed entirely around best battery life. Talha746, can you please list out the things you do most on your tablet? And any games you play regularly?
I basically watch videos and play emulators and surf the web. But as of installing this kernel, i cant even play a single video file! It keeps crashing and turning off my device, any ideas?

[Solved] Galaxy s2 Over heating Problem

My galaxy s2 is overheating. I have rooted my phone and had Neat rom 5.2 installed for quite sometime when I first noticed the heating.I ignored it, but when it became a frequent thing I switched to Neatrom 5.5. This also did not solve the problem. Now I'm on wanamlite 14.6, with a few stock apps titanium backup app and whatsapp. Still the issue persists, what could be it? I tried better battery stats but did not find any app in particular which would be responsible to heat my fone. Is it the modem/kernel? I'm not to technical, I just flash becoz I like trying new roms and their cool features.
Also my battery drains really quick, at times just drops down 25-30% in 10 mins.
Should I try switching back to stock OS?
Hmm.. Did you overclock your phone or change any kernel related settings? Cpu governer? Anything?
Overclocking might be the reason of the heat and the battery drain.
Have you tried flashing the stock firmware?

I did not over clock my phone, tried under clocking it but not in this rom, I'd tried it long back, much before this heating issue.. I used a cpu governer for it. I will try flashing stock only if i'm sure it solves the issue. I like custom OS so much I don't wana go back.
Just try a stock ROM for now to check if it will fix the issue. Then you can revert back to custom roms.
Another question, what is your current cpu governor?
Sent from my One X+ using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Right now I haven't changed my cpu governer.i mean it may be the default which comes with wanam14.6. I did not change it.

I have swapped my battery fr a couple of day's with my dad's s2 which was bought on the same day. That s2 has no heating issues, other than a once in a blue moon heating. Does flashing roms hamper the cellfone hardware in any way? I guess not, but i'm not able to find out what's causing it.

If you did all the recommended stuff flashing an stock rom, and other recommendations "in software", and you still have experienced the same problem with the heat issue... Them its a hardware problem you have...
Unless u can buy a system with water coolant for you Galaxy...

[Q] i9300 CM 10.2 Googy-Max battery drain

I'm very new to the custom rom scene. I recently used the CM installer to install CM 10.2 to my i9300. I experienced terrible battery life, even worse than touchwiz 4.1.2, with CM 10.2 stock kernel. I installed the Googy-Max kernel, which greatly improved standby, but screen on is a little bit worse. My battery usage is not normal. Attached are 2 screenshots. Any ideas? (I've got the stock 2100mah battery by the way)

Constant AOSP issues

Hey all,
I've done many a fresh installs for various aosp ROMs and soon enough 2 issues always bug me. 1 being the camera crashes and the only temporary fix is to reboot (wiping dalvik and cache doesn't make a difference) then it'll eventually crash again. 2 is MMS on aosp has never worked
I'm currently using cyanogenmod 12.1s with stock kernel.
I've been inactive on XDA for many months because I just pushed aside those issues and could be bothered clean flashing a new ROM. If you guys could give me any tips it'll be much appreciated.
I know each ROM is different for everyone so no need to tell me all that.
Tl;dr: aosp ROMs always crash my camera and MMS never works

It's simple, install a Sammy rom, like neat or archi 4.3 and use Nova instead of TouchWiz, it's a big difference, plus that you'll have great camera software and working mms. I love aosp, but the camera keeps me from installing one...it will never be stable on our devices, because there is not a official mentainer of CM...sad

you definitely give 4.3 and last nova a try,I use QS JB along with nova, freezed touchwiz and samsung keyboard and deleted a lot of Sammy stuff and now my phone works like a charm. The ram usage is way better than with all touchwiz things, sometimes I get even 500 mb free ram.I also use Fast reboot and Greenify,if you choose nova, give a try to Glim Lite theme package,it is awsome
