If you don't mind me asking would you please enlighten us as to why not? I would like it as would many others.
From what I recall it worked for the One because a tab of the screen actually extended below the logo slightly. They were able to map that screen location to perform an action like a capacitive button.
Yeah, we need devs to get to work.. there are no kernel source codes at the moment too.. we ill have to wait..

With that can I use it for screen wake up, unlock etc? Hate the side button. I guess samsung has spoiled me.

I suppose you have a custom ROM from Navalynt, is that correct? can you please post the link to the post /thread of the kernel that you flashed.. just to make sure.

That's bloody interesting!!!! i don't have words to express my happiness to hear the availability of custom kernels for the MAX. I also have been hearing that Elemental 8.1 has been perfected performs extremely well in areas of performance and battery.
i had noticed you had posted @navalynt rom thread asking about sys r/w. i was not too sure of what that means.. i do have few other mods like volwake, onscreennfc, app settings via Xposed framework. May be when you have sometime, do please post your mods, it is interesting! may be we can maintain a mods thread.

I was skeptical to flash HTC one's kernels as AnandTech review said that there is a difference between the MAX and the one in the WiFi components used.
Anyway, thanks a lot for letting us know!!! btw, quick question.. does the fingerprint scanner work? i am going to test it soon once i go home.. i have reset my LOCKED status and removed by TAMPERED flag and hence fingerprint scanner works for me.

Mate, i tried to flash the kernel on my ROM. My WiFi does not work.. i am guessing it is because of the drivers, is that the same for you?
i am not sure if the kernel actually installed or not. I don't see any change in software info -> kernel.
I also don't see any of the mods like sweeptowak work.. guessing my flashing did not go well.
Any suggestion?

If I am using the S2 Euro version (well Australian in my case, but anywho, NOT the US variant) will I be OK to move straight across - or should I wait for these 'tweaked' features as my buttons won't function appropriately, and is more suited for people with AT&T variant atm?
Cognition 2 1.5.1 has been a dream-boat thus far, but as a Business phone, want to make the transition as painless as possible (obviously a WIPE is recommended?), so I'll be guided by you.

This is the stock AT&T version, I777UCKH7.
I would stick with Cognition S2 for now if it is a business phone, I haven't been able to test on any other variants yet.

Oh, DG, any way to make the SMS app black in convo view? I hate having the text box be black and the background white.
Also, can you revert the sound icons back to the Captivate behavior? Because the vibe icon in the status bar is there when Vibration is set to Always, not when the phone is in Vibe mode. And when in silent, it has both no sound icon and vibe icon. Waste of space. Pretty please make one icon for state of phone, no icon for sound and vibe, and a vibe icon for vibe?

I'd like to make a small request since you're modding the camera:
1. Please keep the volume shutter button. I cannot live without it.
2. Please consider removing battery limit on the camera, and opening for playing music and using phone at the same time as taking pictures..
For the rest.. Just do your thing man!

The corner of the screen is really washed out. Looks like the LCD panel was bent in the manufacturing process, there is a perfect line between the fine part and the broken part. Really damn annoying :/ can't live with it.

Oh. I see. Thanks for the clarification.
I am a sense fanboy, despite its hogness. I'm sure your Rom will open the jetstream closer to its full potential, but I am looking to stay with the sense UI, personally. That's why i bought jetstream, not a galaxy tab.

I like alot what HTC has done with sense, I like it so much that I sold my Galaxy Tab to get the Jetstream!
I know Task can help have a better and faster experience with Sense.

Awesome. I didn't know you were one of the testers. Yeah that one is just the basic version. Once I fix the bugs you mentioned in the log I'm going to add a bunch of things that should push it pretty good. I'm definitely going to keep sense but try to thin it out a little so that it doesn't hog as much of the resources and speed the whole rom up.

Yeah I think I just fixed the power down issue. I didn't notice it because I've been using quickboot. Should have another test for you tonight if I get off work early enough.

Look in my extra folder, there should be folder called amazecam or something, or camera, cant remember right now.

if you are s-on, pull boot.img from zip file downloaded and flash it using fastboot.
you may also need to extract & push wifi modules from /system/lib/modules on zip file to your phone using root explorer or alternative
Thats is a awesome build Luis, I think its better than sense 4.0 everything works fine xD
Can u do some mixes with sense 4.0 framework without cut the performance?

This is a little kang I did for myself and after seeing the good response in my 4.4.2_R1 aosp thread I decided to post this for everyone to try out.
It's not a hugely modified rom, its largely aosp with enough tweaks and addons to make it "just right" for me.
When I run this rom, I don't use xposed/gravitybox and turn on art. Its smooth smooth smooth.
First and foremost, big thanks to something15525 as its his rom, I just added device specific stuff and compiled for geeb.

This rom has Superuser baked in so no need to flash SuperSU.

Customized QuickSettings Toggles (WiFi and Bluetooth) - no more long press to toggle

When I use the pure aosp build, I run xposed/gravitybox which in turn means I can't turn art on.
I'm running this rom now for the last few days without xposed/gravitybox and turn on art instead.
Art makes the phone even more responsive.

The faux kernel is more in line with faux's mako kernel release but with dual led green/red for canadian phones.
The included one is houstonns adreno kernel with added code for canadian phones with dual green/red led control.

The goal of this rom from the developers standpoint is to have minimal customization.
Think of it as aosp++
Just a few tweaks/addons without going insane and losing the stability and speed of aosp.

Appreciate your hard work. I was talking about simple customization such as bettery icon, time placement, quick setting tile rearrangement, etc. I wish you can add these customization.
Any trick to increase audio volume level ( I mean at max it is bit low)?

Well, I think that this is not the ROM's goal. SoMeX is very close to aosp. If you want all that, you need either:
Another rom (cm)
Xposed and gravity box.

Kinda strang but im not seeing anyone reporting that they cannot flash any 4.4.x roms.. CM11 and now this.. it keeps on failing

Sorry been busy with Christmas, this rom is aosp based, it looks like kitkat so screenshots don't really add much.
Any special recovery needed to flash this? Thinking about busting the OG out and flashing this.

Flashed this last night on my og, and I'm liking it a lot , all though since it is not my Dailey phone I do not have a Sim card in it to check for connection errors.
Can I request a mod please, a zip to enable soft keys and disable the hardware keys?

Sorry I'm not really into doing mods for my roms, but if someone wants to come up with a zip to do these things for you it would be welcomed in this thread!
Only reason I asked was, I tried the build prop edit adding "qemu.HW.mainkey=0" and went to the generic keypad and tried disabling the hardware keys and it didn't work.
Here is to hoping some one can write up a quick zip to do this.

I was on this ROM for a few days and had no issues at all! Very well done!
I switched to Slimkat for the extra features though, and I miss the colors this ROM has! What was edited...was it the gamma, the contrast, the levels? Is there a file I can edit to get the same overall color feel that this ROM has? What values are set for this ROM so I can match it on any other ROM I happen to try?

Now i have s5 but my older phone was Nokia n9. I search 2 great think who i have on nokia but haven't on S5:
1. low power mode - when screen is off, i can have time and notifications ( nokia n9 have super amoled screen and have this).
2. Double Tap to Wake up acreen
1. On nexus 6 this mode is called ambient mode - im trying to port it over to S5. Since i like that too.
2. Ktoonsez his kernel has that option.

I install rom with this kernel and i tested it, but maybe i'm not correctly set it and this think not work very well. Sometimes work when i go to kernel settings and active this, but when i reboot phone this not working.
