[Q] SD Card Reads Slow In Gallery - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hey guys, so I just switched from the S4 to the Note 3 and have a 32gb San Disk Ultra. The card worked fine in the S4 but now with the Note 3, it takes FOREVER for the gallery to load and it's driving me nuts. Just wondering if anyone else is running across this issues and if so, has anyone seen a cause or fix.

[Q] Help With Syncing to MicroSD

Hey guys, I currently have a Samsumg Galaxy s3 16gb with rogers and I recently purchased a PNY 32gb microSD card. I am pretty new to this phone and trying to figure out how to sync stuff(music in particular) to the SD card as the memory on my phone is full. Is there any way I can go about syncing my ITunes music/playlists to my microSD card? I've tried using both AirDroid and Easy Phone Sync(which worked wonderfull with my phone's memory but neither of these apps seem to recognize the SD card. Thanks in advance guys, I've been looking around the internet for some time and couldn't find anything that seemed to helpful.

[Q] SD Card rendered useless

Hello everyone this will be my first post in the forums..
So i've had my Z Ultra C6806 since October 22 with a fresh 32GB Sandisk Ultra 32GB microSD card. The phone has been perfect in every way with 0 errors.
Last night randomly the phone told me that the SD card was unmounted for some odd reason. I rebooted the phone and took out the SD card to plug into my computer (which read it fine) and put it back in the phone, which seemed to fix it. A moment later, the SD card was unmounted again except this time my computer did not even recognize it.
I've only had iphones in the past, so i am not familiar with sony product defects. But I read that the Xperia Z had this hardware issue of corrupting SD cards.
What I am trying to get at now is to find out if this has happened to anyone else, or if anyone has any insight on this issue
Haven't experienced any issues with my SD. I'm using a Sandisk SD that i've had for at least 5 years. I haven't heard of anyone else here having the issue you have. It might simply be a defect in your SD card. Don't you have warranty on it? It's pretty new, so i would get in contact with Sandisk and poke around a little, and maybe they'll give you a new one for free (yes, that happens quite often).

I bought a SanDisk 64Gb ultra. And it worked in PC, but not in my Galaxy S4. Well did, but like you say..
Do what Lord said... When I contacted Sandisk told me to email my serial, then they told me to cut it up/ take pictures, and then they sent me another one.
This new one works like a charm!
(Clearly they have had some quality issues)

I have experienced something similar with an old 32gb SanDisk ultra which keeps unmounting by itself. I had it for a few months before it started acting up. I realized later on that the card is defective (my theory is it acts up when a specific space (bad memory block or something) is filled with data it triggers the errors). I ended up buying a 64gb SanDisk ultra from a reputable store with 1 year warranty.
Here's what I tried to do fix my old card
- cleaned cleaned the contacts
- erase the card
- deleted the volume/created the volume
- reformat ntfs/fat32
Each of those methods would make the card work for a day but when I listen to music or watch a video it starts to mysteriously unmount itself still.

[Q] SD Card causes slow wake up speed on Android 4.3

Hi,
I received my brand new SM-P605 (Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition) about a week ago. I updated its firmware a couple time. Now its at PDA - P605XXUBMJ9 Everything was working perfectly fine until I put an SD Card (SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I class 10) into the tablet.
Since then, the tablet takes about two or three seconds to wake up from sleep (time from pressing the power/home button until the screen turns on). This problem goes away when I remove the SD card.
Questions:
Is this normal?
Does anyone know what I can do to make my Android 4.3 tablet wake up any faster when I am using an SD card?
Should I be using a different type/kind of microSD card?
Thank you very much!
You're not alone, I have the same issue with i9300 and Class 10 card after 4.3 official update.

[Q] Xperia Z2 wont read Samsung SD card?

Recently jumped on an Amazon deal for a Samsung 64 gb SD card. My PC and Note 3 read it just fine, Z2 wont detect it. Does not show in any file explorers. Tried to mount from the settings several times. Read my previous Sandisk SD card just fine. Any fix for this?

get some logs they could help a bit more.
pvy.
I had the same issue on 2 sdcards bad thing that om my own I didn't make a backup. But om my gf sdcards i did.
Somehow it corrupts the card, after changing it back to our note 2 they were readable one time, after that I couldn't access it anymore. After that I just formated the cards and they both work perfectly on our phones.

I bought a Samsung 32GB Micro SD from Amazon which has been working without fault for little over a month now.
I'd suggest a return and replace.
I had a 32gb Samsung class 10 card in my old GS3, it wouldn't work in the my newer Z2 until I used the Z2 to format it. I did format it with the GS3 just before that got sold so I think the way Samsung does the format is different from the way the Z2 does it.

music lags while playing from sd card

Hi guys,
when i'm playing music from my sd cards (Sandisk 32 or 128 GB, both class 10), i'm facing some music distortions / drop outs. They are irregular and appear more often when i'm doing some multi tasking. It is a kind of lag - there is for some milliseconds no sound. After that music goes on normally.
This does not appear while playing music from internal storage. Unfortunately, i own only the 16 GB 'kate' version and my free space is very little.
I tried different roms (miui, nxrom) and different music players, but not luck! Do you have a solution?
Thanks in advance,
j4m
Try with another SD Card. I'm pretty sure the problem is caused by a bad quality sd card
I don't know if it's the same issue as you, but my SanDisk class 10(I think 32GB) suddenly(maybe after 1-2months usage) got very very bad write speeds and overall very laggy with the SD. I'm talking write speeds of about 100KB/s. I bought a Samsung 32GB and running fine for maybe a year now.
Simply get a SD card from your friends or family members . Put it in your device & try playing the music .
Issue maybe with SD card or
If you have 2 Gig variant with Miui & kinda multi tasking on heavier side it may lag

Sound like sd problem i have a really bad C3 SD and i don't have lag. Try with other sd on your phone and yours in another phone too.
I have 2 sandisk SD cards and they just work normally except the music playback. They were also brand new. I will test SD cards from other manufactors and will report back. Maybe sandisk is in a way incompatible (at least for me).
Big thanks for your answers!
Still the same with a sd card, which works perfectly in another phone.
Has anyone the same problem?
Hi I am also facing music distortions / drop outs after upgrading to miui 9.2.4.0 in my RN3 kenzo.
I am using viper4android, after turning off viper no issue with music, facing this issue with music player only, youtube works fine.
Tried to turn off MIUI optimization also tried to change music player but still same.
Please help to resolve.
