Hello everyone, I'm new here, and I don't know if this is the right place to post, but anyway...
I tried to flash the Jellybean 4.1.2 OFFICIAL ROM in my rooted GS2-19100 via ODIN, but in the middle of the process my USB cable disconnected from the PC, and obviously, ODIN FAILED.
Exactly at the same time, the S2 showed this message:
firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try again
I connected again to the PC and opened KIES. It didn't recognized my phone.
It won't boot, but I can enter in DOWNLOAD MODE, what doesn't happen with recovery mode.
What should I do??? Plz HELP
You need to flash a stock rom via Odin in download mode successfully this time. Search for Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread, info/suggestions in that thread should enable you to do this.

I downloaded Check Fus Downloader and followed the intructions, but when I press CHECK FIRMWARE it says:
No firmware info retrieved for given data.
I've put my region and the same thing happens with other regions.
Checkfus doesn't work anymore, so you won't be able to use it to download firmware. If you don't already have a stock rom downloaded & ready to flash, unfortunately for you, HotFile has been closed down so Samfirmware's files aren't available at the moment. And every other place to download SGS2 firmware links back to Samfirmware's stuff on HotFile. So you're going to have to wait until Samfirmware has their stuff up/hosted somewhere else. Keep an eye on their site for an ETA for this.
Edit - Actually, I just checked AndroidFirmwares.net; seems they have their own files hosted somewhere else. Look for the firmware you need/download it from there. Check Samsung-Updates.com if AndroidFirmwares doesn't have what you need.

Hi all developers or users,
The thing I encounted is horrible to my i9100
I tried to flash a lidroid rom through Odin, but I encountered some errors, therefore
I plugged out my cable. I regretted but I just tried to reboot my phone. But there is
not the original boot animation, instead, it is a sign that 'a triangle between a phone and the computer'.
I cannot access to the Recovery Mode but only the Download Mode.
In Odin, I tried to flash different roms to replace!!
But I was stuck in all of them.
some at NAND WRITE START!! and some at Sbl.bin
What I can do????
A poor rookie
Did you try to flash through Odin stock rom, not custom?
That triangle b/w phone & computer is forced download mode if I'm not mistaken; I.E you it's forcing you to flash something in order to boot the phone.
Search for stock firmware either in Intratech's thread; carrier branded here or country specific/non carrier branded here. If the links don't work, search Samfirmware.
Flash the stock rom in Odin. If it doesn't work try the following:-
*Ensure Kies & it's processes aren't running in Windoze task manager. Kill them if they are.
*Try different USB ports; you must be using a 'powered' or mainboard port.
*Try different USB cables (particularly the cable that came with the phone if you're not using it now)
*Try different versions of Odin (search on here/Google)
*Uninstall Kies, reboot, redownload & reinstall it, reboot, try the flash again. Also run Windoze Update.
*Check the rom you download for corruption. Programs like 7Zip, IZarc, WinRar, etc will allow you to 'test' the rom file you download. If there are any errors/any of the files fail the test, bad download. Try again/try downloading with a different internet connection if it keeps happening
*And if all this fails, try a different PC.

I tried flashing the ICS stock, but Odin stops at sbl.bin
Sounds like a bad download.
Best thing to do is go back to Gingerbread stock in the first instance as per my post above. Then you can try the ICS thing again when you have a 'clean slate'.

I tried downloading one now!!
Is the rom there flashed by Odin??
Another option for you to fetch a stock rom is to get it directly from samsung's servers, using CheckFusDownloader.
Just flash any stock rom similar to the version you had (2.3.x ?) to go back to a stable state, then you should be good to go.
Also, make sure you *don't* activate the "PIT / repartition" option in Odin - I think this wasn't your problem otherwise the phone wouldn't even go to download mode if this was messed up and no working SBL existed on the phone any more.
Yes. Flash firmware downloaded from Samfirmware with Odin, however, follow whatever instructions they have for flashing firmware downloaded from their site. They might differ from the instructions in Intra's threads. I wouldn't know for certain, never flashed firmware from Samfirmware.
Also, Tungstwenty's suggestion to use Checkfus to download firmware is an excellent one if you're happy to use the latest stock firmware you'd normally get via Kies. If you do use Checkfus, flash the firmware you download with it following the Odin instructions in Intratech's threads.

How can I deal with '.enc2' extensions??
From Checkfus ? If my memory serves me correctly (and I've only downloaded firmware with Checkfus once a few months ago), it automatically decrypts the enc file when it's finished downloading it. If not, maybe have a look at the Checkfus thread on here.

I successfully downloaded that but I flashed fail.
I stuck on that command Sbl.bin inside Odin.
Try all the suggestions in my post on the previous page (there were a stack of them). My guess is a bad download. If you try all those suggestions, I'd try another PC and/or downloading the rom with another internet connection.

I search for internet and someone said it might be related with the bootloader. Is it related??
Sent from my GT-P7500 using XDA
Might be. I've never had a problem with a bootloader, so I'm not going to advise you what to do around same given you run the risk of bricking your phone when you mess around with bootloaders; you only flash a bootloader if you have a specific reason for doing so.
Maybe someone else will be prepared to do so.
I tried to do that on another pc then first.
Or is there any method to clear my binary times without access to the recovery mode.

The Odin window is fuzzy white but I can see it got to the stage Check MDF /// Please wait
I was in the process of flashing stock firmware taken from Intratech's androidfirmware.net site.
The phone is brand new, I was flashing back to stock from AOKP because of an issue with the phone calls not sending or receiving any sound
EDIT: After 5 minutes, I faced my fate and clicked it. I tried again with Odin v1.85 to no avail. The program also crashed 2 seconds into the process. Have I bricked my brand new phone? :crying:
Odin downloads nothing its an installer .
One stop Kies running via Task Manager
Two connect with Samsung USB cable to a mainboard port only .
Three i suggest you download a new copy of the firmware and also of Odin just in case .
Four start again following instructions as posted here .

Hi again, if u can get into download mode you're OK. If not ,u need to buy a USB jig from ebay to get into download mode.
If u can get into download mode,do this..go to development forum and download "galaxy s3 toolkit v3" and Dl. To pc.
Now go to samfirmware.com and register. Go to galaxy s3 firmware and select LFB rom and download it to your PC. Extract the zip file so u end up with 3 files(maybe5) u need PDA, phone and csc files. Put in place on your PC so its easy to find. Now run the toolkit and follow instructions on how to flash.(use numbers to navigate and enter to select)
Ps. Password is samfirmware.com to extract the rom.
write me if u need assistance or here

Hi JJE, thanks for the reply!
This was indeed the guide that I was following. Yet I have repeated the steps to no avail. The phone now hangs at the SAMSUNG screen and glows when I try and switch it on normally.
This was in fact the second version of the same firmware I am trying to flash, the first being a hotfile download linked from this site. How should I proceed now?

Thanks for the link but I cannot access CWM recovery. I have since fixed it by simply repeating the process with yet another version of the firmware. This time I followed it up with a factory reset that I accessed through [power+volume up+home] combination. I have used up my daily limit of thanks but will come back tomorrow to give credit where it's due. Thanks everybody.
Odin stop working when finally i click start button
Odin stop working after click start button and also i connect back panel usb port of cpu box

Hello, I f**ked my phone and I couldn't repaired it like.. for 2 months practically.
To make the long story short.. I think i have done 2 things wrong..
1. I wanted to "install" the transparent bar. I followed this tutorial : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCeBOz8bxlc
But after I deleted those files ( astro couldnt deleted, i deleted it with another app ) the weather widget went crazy after restart.. it appeared.. dissapeared.. so i reset the phone to original settings ( settings - restore ), the batterry dropped from 100 % to 87 % to 66 % very quick.. my USB connection was gone.. phone couldnt see it anymore.. just charging..
2. After I've done that.. I rooted my phone again.. installed titanium back up but.. I deleted Chat-On.. and my phone would not boot after that..
So beeing a noob I thought if I'll go to my phone download mode and try to root it again ( http://iceimg.com/02tAwaev/xda.png ) will fix it and I've don that but of course it didnt.
All I've done afther that is beeing more stupid by nuking my phone.. and now I can't get if fixed.
I've installed a Custom ROM but couldnt get any incoming calls.. busy mode always for people who tried to phone me..
I was told by a guy who worked at a GSM that I need the exactly same OS that i had.. but:
1. I couldn't found on samsung site XXLS8 PDA..
http://iceimg.com/H_ZbTUYX/1.png
http://iceimg.com/cUJK03eT/2.png
I need the XXLS8 PDA file + CSC + MODEM files and I couldnt find them available for download...or any other advice for how to fix my phone pleasee...
PS: I read the link below but when i put only the pda file it will stuck at "setting connection"..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365701&page=1
3.Click PDA,and select the extracted JB/ICS firmware file.Do not select any other files like .PIT file.
4.Click Start.Firmware flashing will begin. It will take 5-10 min to flash.DO NOT DISCONNECT DEVICE!!
Check Samfirmware, AndroidFirmwares.net or Samsung-Updates.com for the firmware you need. If they don't have what you're after, use another stock rom released by your carrier.
If you find you have problems flashing with Odin, search for Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread & try the stuff in that thread. Should enable you to get a successful Odin flash away.

Hi Guys,
My S2 unable to enter OS. I had flash different roms and once the OS is boot up, the phone suddenly turn off.
No matter which roms I flashed, it still the same.
Still able to enter boot loader and download mode.
Please help. Thanks.
Get stock rom for country/carrier from Samfirmware (any one, but not 4.0.4), flash in download mode with Odin following instructions in thread stickied near top of Q&A titled 'Flash stock firmware' = clean slate.

Bro, I already flashed with stock roms. GB and also JB. Both are still same.
Then I guess your phone is busted then bro, eh ?
Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General, find it, download the 3 part firmware linked in the thread, flash that (which will wipe your phone), then flash stock firmware for your country/carrier again & go from there.
If that doesn't work, I recommend you download as many different stock roms as you can & keep flashing them. If it isn't a case of NAND corruption, you'll fix it by persevering, if it is then you're getting a motherboard replacement or a new phone.

Hi Bro,
I solved it. I flashed all kind of roms. At last is the battery KO already. =.=lll
Hello,
This is my first post here. Just now I was trying to flash PhilZ Touch using Odin. While it's still in process, I accidently pulled the usb cable from my phone. I thought it was fine. So I removed my battery since at that time I was still at download mode. But when I tried to on my phone, it stucked at the image that I attached below. What should I do to fix it?
That's forced download mode - to fix, flash stock firmware with Odin - as you're already in download mode, you don't need to try & boot into it, just connect the phone to the PC via USB & off you go. Problems flashing ? Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting thread stickied in General has the info you need to get a successful flash.

Yes. Just make sure you download I9100G firmware, he's wrong - usage of Odin is exactly the same for all I9100 variants - extract .tar.md5 file from zip you DL from Samfirmware, junk .dll file in the zip, put .tar.md5 file in PDA section of Odin, click start.
