You can.
Select mount R/W on root explorer.
Then move and paste in sd card.

I have rooted my phone. Installed a custom ROM. Now my sd card is loaded with unwanted things. Wat shoud I do? Copy/paste the openrecovery folder to a comp. Format SD card and then copy that folder back to sd? Or update.zip again?
Anybody?

Just format it normally and paste back.

Thanks, had a similar problem and wanted to know this as well.
Remember to move all apps to phone memory before format.

What about update.zip? It is needed anymore on root of the sd card?

You can simply delete the update.zip file without any problems.

You need to keep update.zip on root of sdcard. It doesnt enter recovery mode if you not copy it back.

For such stuff, using the Droid Tool is the best way:

Format it with your android phone, or in recovery, not with your PC.
I was downloading a couple videos off tubemate and I went to play a mp3 file and it went to force close the music app but it crashed my phone and I had to reboot it by pulling the battery out now after reboot I can't write anything to my sdcard it keeps saying read only system anyway to sort this out without formatting the sdcard?

Backup your sd card, format it and restore files on it, I think that's quickest and easiest way.

Assuming u mean 1: backup anything u want on sd card (music, videos etc) to your pc/laptop 2: format sd card 3: place the content from pc back onto sd card..
Then yeah you'll be fine

Put it in a card reader
Sent from my XT910 using xda premium
Man ..
I put the sdcard in reader and formated.
The partition manager shows that the sdcard is in ext3 but the android or windows not able to read the sdcard.
-------------------------- EDIT----------------
I could read the sdcard with the module ntfs.ko
but I can not longer access the sdcard on my computer.(via usb)
I can not write / modify the sdcard (android)
just read the files.
I barely use my ultra apart from surfing the net, I've got a few games installed and now I have used up most of my internal storage!
How can I put these apps and games onto my sd card?

Is that a common solution? Is it stable etc?

Yes it's a common solution for all phones which use only the internal storage for app + app data. There's Folder Mount and GL2SD that work great with Android 4.2.2+ but you have to pay if you want to use them without restrictions.
Folder Mount: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount&hl=en
GL2SD: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp&hl=en
However, remounting the system partition has a bug with Sony's 4.2.2 firmwares and there's a tool to fix it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317432
Try it if your phone reboots while trying to mount folders with Folder Mount or GL2SD.
