I tried a backup and I got alot of failure notices. Something about unable to access partition.
Which options should I check when doing a backup?
Thanks for any assistance you might be able to offer.

You should have at a minimum two backup folders, EFS and your latest stable install. If you want a clean setpoint, do as below.
Go into recovery, navigate to backup, tick only the checkbox for EFS, slide the knob to the right. Go back, now tick only system, boot and data, slide the knob to the right. Reboot system. Now throw your EFS backup on your computer or Dropbox and keep it safe in case of emergency.
You'll have one clean backup that you can restore, and a failsafe with your EFS.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank You.
I'm still getting an error though. It says -
e:unable to mount USB.

That error is simply text, which can be safely ignored. If you get a successful flash, and can reboot, you have no issues that should give rise to concern.
A read lettered error message from a bad flash...let us say that some have encountered some unpleasant problems.
When that happens, you'll want your backup handy.

Is there a way to do this so when I flash a new ROM I dont have to redo the pairings on my cars handsfree setup?

You can through Titanium Backup. You can also backup wifi settings.

Is this done through backing up system settings batch backup? I would prefer not to do that because of the problems that can cause. Thanks for the reply.

I have had issues related to restoring system data when switching to a different ROM in the past with forced closes and reboots.
Thanks for the reply.

Yeah it's in there somewhere. I'll go look through my TiBackup and if I can find it I'll come back. I don't use BT much though so I've never had to make a backup.
EDIT:Wow thought it was going to have some discrete name or something. Nope. It's called Bluetooth Pairings.
Ok, so its listed where the apps are. I see it now. I was under the impression i would have to restore all system data to get this but just backing this up should work for just bluetooth pairings.. I thank you for your response.
Ive been doing some studying on http://matrixrewriter.com/wiki/tiki-index.php
apparently the green stuff can be safely backed up and restored on new ROM flashes. I hope it solves what Ive ran into (testing ROM/kernels wiping and resetting up I now have 8 or more of each contact in my contact list)
Seems odd since it is a folder so do we gave tio flash it al ways

if you don't delete the backup folder on your sdcard, then no you don't have to flash it ever again.
i kept the efs thing on my computer
It's for safe keeps, in case something happens to my IMEI.

I find that hard to believe because it never works on mine after the 5.20 build

I couldn't find any other threads on this subject. Every time I try to access the keyboard in the middle of a phone call it forces closes and drops the call, the device usually freezes so I have to do a battery pull to fix. I'm on MDK stock ROM. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do you have any mods that could be causing a conflict?

Better to start soft before you go hard at the problem. If you dont have much on your phone and you dont mind it getting erased I would try a factory reset to see if that solves the problem, though im doubting it will. Have you tried a different keyboard to see if the problem lies with that specific keyboard?

Did you mess with/mod anything related to secphone.apk (dialer, theming dialer or phone app) or anything at all related to contacts or messaging? What keyboard are you using? Hexitnow's advice is your best bet. In case that doesn't work you could go extract the mdk secphone seccontacts and secmms apks from a stock mdk rom and either push them to system or flash a zip containing them. Only try these if you have a custom recovery though and you should make a backup in case anything should go wrong.

I had gotten a warning on my phone about ten minutes ago while updating some Apps that I was running out of storage. This couldn't be possible, so I went into DiskUsage to look around to find that SuperSu had 6.01GB of data.
I've already gotten rid of it, but does anyone have any idea what is going on with this?
Much thanks.
(Running stock MJ7 if it helps)

Any chance you can try and pinpoint what that 6gigs of data is? Try looking through your internal storage for large files related to supersu. It shouldn't cause problems if you can find and delete the data if you don't use supersu anymore.

Try wiping everything again with a wiped sdcard as well if you haven't already.
Meaning completely format and wipe the entire card. Ie pictures documents etc.?
