Hey guys.. I wanted to know how do i replace the stock gallery from stock rom... i wanted the gallery used in miui rom..
and are there any chances that from that gallery we can change the lockscreen wallpaper coz it permits changing lockscreen wallpaper in miui rom..
Gravity box is a solution for lockscreen wallpaper but it gives too much problems like flickering of screen lagging etc...

stock gallery cant be replace with miui gallery because of framework differences and lockscreen wallpaper can be changes with gravity box i dont feel any flickering etc

whenever i install gravity box there is contant flickering of the screen and after uninstalling it its all OK...

I use CyanogenMMatt rom and decided to apply the transparent statusbar patch.
I tried with
this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16763244&postcount=40
and
this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16945019&postcount=60 (v6.5.7 patch)
and none of these seems to work. I can't see the transparence of statusbar or the notifications area. I only see the "transparent" effect in the menus (Meizu 8.0 theme)
I tried with the Meizu theme and a custom theme created with UOT Kitchen, with the transparence enabled.
Someone has tried other patches with successful results?

EDIT: I solve the problem editing framework-res & SystemUI in UOT kitchen, now i have transparent statusbar
let me see, wich launcher are you using? from my experience adw support tranparent status bar if you disable wallpaper hack, the default launcher suppot it too, I cant make it work on launcher pro, and in Go launcher works if you check high drawing or something like that, but your home will lag like hell. btw I use the pach of the suicide miui theme, dont use the mik 6.5.7 because is not the same, I tried myself and didnt work on Matt v1.1, I hope this will help, comment your results
I tried with ADW, with and without wallpaper hack. My default launcher is Go Launcher EX, I also tried with multi picture live wallpaper enabled and the HQ drawing enabled and no results. Where i can get the suicide patch?
Nevermind, I'm an idiot, expected to see these settings in the Lockscreen menu but they were in the Display.

Is anyone else having issues with this? I've tried changing my lockscreen wallpaper to several different images from my gallery but it always stays the stock one.
Edit: Found the fix. I had to clear the application defaults for QuickPic im pretty sure you have to use the stock Gallery app to crop your Lock screen wallpaper
Moded Touchwiz(SecLauncher2.apk) with auto-rotation 4*6 / 6*4 app screen portrait/landscape. Optimized screen area, just decrease in font size. Home screen is default with scrollable wallpaper.You have to enable Auto rotation. Removed menu title in apps drawer(Apps, Widget and Download) in landscape mode to adjust 6*4 apps as bug of customized and alphabetical icon setting seen.

How to install:
1. Rename /system/app/SecLauncher2.apk to Seclauncher2.apk.bkp (for backup)
2. Copy the downloaded SecLauncher2.apk in the /system/app
3. Change permission: rw-r--r--
4. Reboot if required.
Flashable zip also attached...
Lock screen will not auto-rotate. Add "lockscreen.rot_override=true" in /system/build.prop, but this then keep lockcreen rotation permanent (even though rotation is off). So try and use it if you like.
If some want to enable rotation mod in default Seclauncher2.apk:-
For rotation change <integer name="config_screenOrientation">3</integer> in res\values\integers.xml.(default is 5).
For smooth TouchWiz working use CoCore-E kernel. You will note difference compared to stock kernel.
Touchwiz zip without black background and no scrollable wallpaper added...
(As far as I know) After the perms, change both owners to 0-root If you have another launcher you don't need a reboot.

Delete "lockscreen.rot_override=true" in /system/build.prop.

Try this homescreen 4*5, made it today. There is homescreen rotation bug so not updated earlier. Either you have to use homescreen in only portrait or only landscape mode.(*kill seclauncher2.apk if homescreen is not exactly spaced)
by the way can i install this on a odex phone, (currently i'm de-odexed but planning to soon reflash stock rom and stay odexed ....) or is there any way i can re odex this specific apk ?

The nav bar on moto e is transparent just like the status bar. But suddenly my nav bar background turned black and is no more transparent. I tried restarting phone but still background is black. Any solutions???

I guess you changed the wallpaper. The wallpaper picker in Kitkat is really not that great compared to JB.
Try changing wallpaper, or reset the same wallpaper without cropping (Pinching and zoom) much.

hey you got it right.
it works without cropping and pinching.
but earlier it was working fine. I need to pinch the wallpaper to get it perfect. any other solution???

That a way out for sure but if any one can fix this then it would be good coz its not that its not working at all. its working without pinching while setting the wallpaper.

No, its not the problem with transparency, so no need to tweak using GravityBox. The Wallpaper picker in KK is kinda different. In ICS/JB, the wallpaper picker was like .. you can crop the wallpaper using a rectangular shape, which fits the entire homescreen pages. But in KK, in the picker, you need to select the area for your centre homescreen. (The stuff you select will be applied to the main homescreen). The problem however is mainly because of the widescreen landscape wallpapers which is in 16:9 aspect ratio, the bottom part would be cut off .. which would look like the status and nav bar becoming black. Try experimenting more, and you'll understand it.

But when I use trebuchet launcher and change wallpaper it's fine with it. I presume that trebuchet also uses kk wallpaper picker or is it the other way??

Sorry I don't use Trebuchet so no idea about it. I'm using Google Now Launcher and the picker is this way, when I used Stock Launcher too, this problem appeared. You may also try setting wallpaper from the Gallery, and see if that works. Maybe I need to try some launchers based on ICS/JB, but my best bet would be it uses the Kitkat picker only.
EDIT: Okay so I guess its the problem with Stock Launcher as it lets you to pinch out (Leaving black bars) while GNL won't allow. See screenshot

Tried with the gallery but not working with stock launcher.
As of now trebuchet is working fine. no issues with it.
Hope that is fixed in 4.4.3. I should ask to other member who has updated to 4.4.3 to confirm it.

You can again make the statusbat transparent by force stopping the statusbar from >Setings>Apps>All(Tab)..
The wallpaper will be resetted but u can change the wallie again...:good:
Hi guys, I have some beautiful images as lockscreen wallpaper from Casualis (it picks images from Bing or Chromecast), but AOSP roms applies some blur on it (I am on RR oreo official).
Is there any way to "unblur" totally the lockscreen wallpaper? maybe by editing build.prop?

Go to settings > rr customisation > swipe till you find a panel which has a setting named "blur options". There turn off the option saying "blue effect on lockscreen"
