Hi guys,
Sorry for posting this topic in this section, but I'm unable to do it in development sections, because I have a fewer than 10 posts. I've bought this tablet with Orange Branding, and I was wondering whether I can remove it. Is it possible? I'm from Poland, and I'd like to have the newest, original, polish software. I am experienced user of SGS family, I know how to root them, what should I do etc. I know that Samsung has a flash counter, which I can clear with "triangle away" but how are the things in Xperia family? Can I install no-brand ROM, and when needed- reinstall branded rom? How can I do this? Is it possible to do this without losing warranty? Guys thank you very much for help, and if this topic was earlier, please give me link to it, because I was looking for similar topic, and I couldn't have found it. Thank you very much for help and merry christmas!

Of course, I forgot- I have SGP321 model - 16 GB with LTE.

Works on the latest firmware, So it will work on previous versions too. Just follow the basic steps mentioned, and no need for unlock bootloader to get root access.
You can also update back through SE companion tool, and you will get updated, but root will be gone.
Tested and found no bugs yet. Good luck.
PS: I will not post the method here, since all the credit and other things are posted there, but I will still like to post the guys who helped us.

Welcome but you should thank the original dev "Doomlord". He is the best
Rooted my Neo V two days ago
Thanks
How can i overclock it now ?? I cant seem to follow how to install DoomLord's Kernel
overclocking is not possible yet ..... (try set cpu to make sure of that)
you can flash DooMLoRD's kernel via flashtool found in XPERIA X10 fourm , but doomlord did'nt release his usual kernel for neo v ,he just released a slightly modded GENERIC kernel for rooting.

I would suggest to wait for sometime, let some other devs buy this device and you will see some real development. Till thn enjoy your phone without overclocking, it aint tht bad without it?
could you confirm that it's working as it's not in supported devices list?
Edit- it works
It worked with my Neo V.
Just followed the steps in the other thread.

Hey bro, what do you exactly want? Your image is not appearing, try re-uploading it. And if you are asking how to unbrick the phone, then just flash a stock ROM using the flashtool by connecting the phone in fastboot mode. Or if you are asking how to install the update, then you will have to download the FTF and flash it using flashtool. But then you will loose root access. No worries, root it again using the root toolkit bu DoomLord, it's available in the development section. Or if you mean to say something else, feel free to reply.

You are mistaken. The update is of huge 650MB. But I upgraded to it from ICS. So maybe if you are on JB you will find this a short update.
The update have minor bug fixes and the phone is less laggy now. The dialer scroll issue is gone. But there's a problem with the camera app now. Sometimes green and black lines come on to the screen while clicking the photo. Although they don't appear on the photo. I am facing GPS and network issues also. But they are not being experienced by everyone. Feel free to update because you can always flash the old ROM.

Thanks, i am trying to download the uk retail firmware to reflash my ICS before updating the JB OTA, but unfortunately most of the firmware links are from SBF droid developers and that site seem to be crashed, is there an alternative mirror i can use to download the ICS uk retail version of the firmware? Thanks for your help.

When the JB update rolled out I just couldn't wait for OTA so i downloaded it and flashed it from the recovery (on unrooted device). Worked like a charm
Can't you just check for updates? I thought an OTA 4.1.2 update for the RAZR had been out for months now.
Dear experts, I bought this phone recently and it came with 5.0.2, 14.5.A.0.270. I have rooted my phone and flashed dual recovery and have TA backup. bootloader is locked.
I want to flash 4.4.4 as I don't like lollipop. Can I just flash C6802_14.2.A.0.290_Customised IN.ftf.
Please help. Thanks.

READ THIS: BACKUP INTERNAL STORAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER. REMOVE EXTERNAL SD CARD!!!
ALL STORAGE WILL BE WIPED!
I have done this a very long time ago, many times. Bare with me...I might not remember everything.
Follow this
Downgrade path 1 (very easy):
Download needed files
Download C6833_14.1.B.1.532_NUT.ftf
Flashing using flashtool
Flash EVERYTHING in the above ftf by @[NUT]
Reboot
Flash EVERYTHING in this ftf, (use the defaults) it will do the downgrade below so you will end up on .532 with a working IMEI ready to root with bin4ry's tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devd...ct/dl/?id=3442
You will end up with a device that thinks it is a C6833 but when you flash 4.3 or newer (.290 or .136) just use the one for your real model and the model number will be restored.

When the above is done choose a kitkat stock .ftf rom to flash. Choose an .ftf file to flash that matches your model: C6802,C6806, C6833, C6843, or SOL24.

I do not know which stock firmware is based on what android version. You have to look this up yourself.
I never used stock roms more than a month or so when first I bought my device. This was two years ago.
I will take a guess that 14.4.A.0.108 will be your choice of stock rom which is based on 4.4.4.
I do not know if there are any more recent stock roms that is based on kitkat or if they jumped to lollipop after this.
Notice: .118 is only a special release from carrier like vodaphone and some french carrier. So no need to download this firmware.
Thank you very much sir. I shall follow the links and your detailed tutorial and post back the results.

Rollback to 4.4
Hello,
I did the rollback yesterday as I couldn't bear Lollipop's bugs, slowdowns and so on...
All you have to do is to find a 14.4.A.0.108 firmware using XperiFirm which is included in Flashtool.

Or download the one you need here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2453921
"Generic" firmwares are the ones to use if you have an unbranded phone (that is to say, not sold by a carrier).
Then you can follow this tutorial almost to the letter here: http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/1...xperia-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool

Indeed, both were separated before, but then one of the devs thought it would be more convenient to get the two programs together in Flashtool.
Moreover, you don't need to create the FTF file yourself when you download through the XperiFirm included in Flashtool, Flashtool does it automatically if I remember well, avoiding the hassle to delete the "fwinfo" file that corrupts the FTF file when you create it on your own.
Hello everyone,
Now this is a strange error... I upgraded to Lollipop 5.1 yesterday and did a fresh installation. Now I can't see the operator names !
If I scan for network operators, I get 55533 -65502 -65504
It should be Vodacom, MTN etc....
Any idea ?

If you're registered to the network, is there really an issue then, other than cosmetic? I know there are multiple versions of different Z phones, like c6602, c6603, etc. Did you make sure to get the correct update for your version? Did you update via OTA, FTF, or Sony PC Companion?

It's OTA update.
Not really cosmetic as I travel a lot and when I roam I need to select the cheapest plan.
I'm positive that it's the correct version. Never seen anything like that except WM 5.0 back in time.
Yea, not really sure. I've seen it while roaming, but that's it. Guess you could always try a factory reset...I find many kinds of phones, Apple and Android, benefit from resetting after OTAs, especially if it's a large jump in versions.
