What is the difference between A116 and A116i The new stock rom realesed for A116 changes it model to A116i why

Yeah after canvas hd the realsed so many smartphone with quad core proccesors but in all of the our A116 Rocked!

Well i am new to Micromax. My thought about it are always negative but now when i search all about smartphones Micromax HD is No 1 contender with the beat of the best.

I torn, I want to buy mediatek based quad core phone, my choice was Canvas HD a116i, Xolo q800(because of size) and A117 magnus.
If a116i does have compass, i'm sold.

Now why you want to buy quad core phones. They are passé. Micromax going to release octacore phones.

I really don't care about CPU. I'm happy with mediatek new 28nm dual core chip set on karbonn a12+, but I look for 1080p hw support.
Octa core CPU is just gimmicks, I don't play games and most software are not coded for multi core.
I'm still torn, a116i for 10k while a117 for 13k+ , both are good option. And finally xolo q800 x-edition.
As I said, magnetic sensor will decide my choice.
BTW, how's a116 in general?

Both are identical, except that there is a 4.2 update for a116, readily available out of the box in a116i

A116 and A116i are identical except the screen. Eventhough resolution is same A116i is LCD screen where as A116 is IPS screen.
Compass doesn't exists in either A116 or A116i. I have A116i and have evaluated it. Both are exactly identical model except the screen.

I bought a116 after purchasing a117. In a117 everything is fine except camera. It says 12mp. But its only 2~3 mp. worse, It has very high noise in night as well as indoor pictures. All ur frnds will laugh at u. I bought a117 from flipkart @ 12000. Luckily FLipkart took back a117 and gave a116 @ 11500. a116 is better. Or u can try Gionee Gpad g3. Its 1.2 quad core, 1gb ram(online it shows only 512 ram) , 5mp camera(much better. than a116 and a117 camera) @ 9500 from retailers.

No... A116 has IPS LCD display whereas A116i has cheap display.. Plus A116 models released after June came with 4.2.1 out of the box !! My A116 came with 4.2.1 pre loaded...
