What, no Garwynn + Team SXTP test files with one-click packages with which we can play?
Remember those days blackcanopy? All that excitement for a device that seems stoneage by comparison. After I upgraded, I kept mine for a week prior to shipping it off to a dev. (It's in excellent hands, by the way.) Anyway, during that week, with no mobile data connection, I threw it in a drawer, but still on and still syncing over WiFi. Had Jellyverse on it, and was quite loud. It held a charge for days, no phantom keypresses, nothing.
I think we are scheduled for KitKat in January.

That certainly was some great, exciting times. It soothed the flashing beast within and definitely kept me happy to prolong upgrading.
That's awesome that you'd donate your device to further the development on it. I'm sure whomever received it is making things happen still. Very noble donating a mobile

Yeah, latest never shows what they currently working on. you have to dig them mannually. "latest" only shows what has been approved for possible or current OTA.
Been hunting RDFs since the SPH-D710 days. Had a kind of a hard time figuring out what combination they were using after ML9 lol
BTW almost all Sprint devices have RDFs.
For example the LGG2 http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS980-SPRINT/LS980ZV8.rdf

As for the RDF we are getting 4.4 & It's available in KitKat v4.4 & 4.4.1 but not in 4.4.2 and Not a big deal. But it's already solved if you have root. I've been using it on my Nexus devices and it breaks app functionality that's why it was removed not intended for common users only for Devs.

With the phones I've had in the past, it seems like sextape's plunders ended with the Sg2's. Never had the 3's so I can't comment on that. 4's, can't remember any pre release links. N3's, nothing at all since I got mine a month ago. Don't hold your breath. No disrespect meant towards team st. Just observations. Seems like Samsung is plugging the pre release leaks as the models progress.

I think sextape did a couple for the S3 but, yeah, those days are long gone.
I'd rather have original files than some one-click method. But, looking forward to KK nonetheless.

We'll likely do what the first stressed group had to do, wait until one of our forum's contributors gets his mitts on the tar file. Then the development on it begins anew.
It may require a repartition, so the route may be backup everything, load tar file via Odin, reboot, add recovery back, update setup (square one). After that, we might be driving stock with root for a time.
In a word, what could be work for us could likely be a huge amount of work for the dev community.
[I hope I'm wrong.]

The SickleSoftware team is pleased to present you with SickleRom.
This rom is based off of cyanogenmod for ease of porting to new devices. Its also based on 4.1.2 for that same reason. Something different about our rom however is we are taking the few good features from 4.2.1 and putting them into 4.1.2 so that even more devices can use them. We as a team, also don't agree with the way google took their new flavour of jellybean. So we hope you agree with ours, thank you for giving our rom a chance.
Change log:

Source code:

Download:
http://goo.im/devs/SickleSoftware/SickleROM-ALPHA/grouper/SickleROM-ALPHA-V1.0.0.zip
NOTE this rom is still in beta and alpha stages per device we currently plan on adding a lot more features and reworking the way the rom functions and looks. All features by us or cm will also be toggleable. Consider this alpha release preview nightly
If you would like to be a beta tester PM me with a request to get access to our beta forums
Since it is based on 4.1.2, will it act correctly with the 4.13 bootloader?

Helicopter is the maintainer for Evervolv which is built from source. He used unofficial in the title but that doesn't make the ROM any less built from source.

BTW considering the mess in Nexus forum and in many others, I don't understand why xda maintain the distinction between development ( means stock based wherever stock is) and original development (aosp/non stock based).

Well look under g2 original android development it's already there for a lot of the varients
Here's the link to what I'm seeing.

[AOSPA 4.4 KRT16S] PARANOIDANDROID 4.0+ G2 [alpha][D800/801/802/803/LS|VS980][12/03]
My bad I didn't understand the first time through trying to get someone to help. Sorry.
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i can only work on tmous variant as i only use tmo as a service provider. I am also not pushing anyone to donate, thats not right to do so but it would be very much appreciated nothing huge amounts though.
I am on the Paranoid Android Team. I have worked on projects mainly kernel related. @houstonn needs help maintaining his g2 support as he is building for 6 variants by himself. Since there is minimal devs working on g2 i thought i could contribute to projects. I have kernel and rom experience and i have been helping him a tiny bit with g2 pa work.
I'm up for $10. Was a huge fan of PA on the n4. I dropped the n5 like a hot potato after a week of use and got the G2, but I was concerned that the G2 would never get official AOSPA loveliness. I hope my money goes a tiny bit to keeping the PA ROMs coming on the G2
Sent from my LG-G2 using Tapatalk
I'd also drop $10. Not much, but what I can do.
From my count that would put us with the following Devs actually possessing these variants:
D800 - Rohan (AOKP)
D801 - ayysir (this bounty is for him to acquire one)
D802- Vertigo (? Does he actually have a D802, I admittedly don't follow the threads closely) CM/Omni
D803- Houstonn (PA)
I'm sure this is not the tell-all list but I think it's accurate.
I know there are A LOT of users around here. Way more than there are developers. We would only benefit from established developers actually owning each variant.
I for one am willing to chip in for *any* established (sorry new guys ) developer to join the G2 party as long as I have the device myself. Never much, but every dollar counts for
I'm with you. PA was possibly the best rom on my Galaxy Nexus. Would LOVE to have that back for my G2
let us help Houstonn, not only financial but also our little support
coz LG dump us leaving us in the dark of JB 4.2.2

woohoo! awesome! that means only 3 months or so til we get it!
/sarcasm
but seriously, i'm a little impressed at Samsung's better-than-average commitment to updates.
boy, do I miss sxtp leaks...
I heard KitKat will break root. I hope ChainFire will patch that.
CF has already cracked the leak for GS4 and the euro Note3 leak/update.
Edit: my mistake, he got Triangle Away working with both those. I'm sure roots not far behind...
Sent from my calculator watch.
In a nutshell......KitKat is a minor update.
Im sure it just means more fugly white backgrounds for us to deal with..
Cool Thanks for the info.

I beg to differ. This is a major update. Because it has a smaller foot print and it will allow every device running kit kat the ability to use Google wallet.

sweet my buddy who refuses to run anything custom will love this.
Google has began pushing the 6.0.1 Android OTA with Dec 1 security patch to Nexus devices.
Sceenshot 4 proof.
If anyone has the OTA...CAPTURE IT AND POST IT
Model number is nexus 6 how's that possible 6p would get it first

It's the real deal, check kernel version and build date.
Also no factory images have been posted yet, for any device. Just that some lucky people began getting the OTA.

From the looks of it this is not just a monthly security update as those don't change version numbers.
Also, model says Nexus 6 not Nexus 6p but I'm sure that will come across all devices as 6.0.1

No..right forum. I knew it was a Nexus 6...I was just using that sceenshot as proof that 6.0.1 actally exisits

Your subject basically says it's out for the 6P, which there is no proof of yet.

I believe thats just PS or edited build prop as OTA are always coming after uploading new images on the google website...
OP needs to change the header to Nexus 6 and not Nexus 6P.

It might have something to do with this story from MSN:
Android is getting new emoji, in an update set to first roll out next week to Nexus phones. Hiroshi Lockheimer, Google's SVP of Android and Chrome OS, announced the news on Twitter; the emoji will come as part of an updated system image that also brings a new keyboard and font.
The emoji shown off include a lion, a crab, and a unicorn, suggesting that the Android update will support the characters in Unicode 8.0; that's the Unicode expansion that featured the important addition of a taco. iOS gained taco support in October with iOS 9.1, making Android's tacoless existence all the more difficult to swallow. Unicode 8.0 also brought emoji with diverse skin tones, though Apple released those separately ahead of the taco update — it remains to be seen how Google will handle the rollout.
Slightly misleading thread title as no OTA is out yet for the 6p

Nexus devices do not necessarily get version parity - There have been many cases in the past where different Nexus devices, despite being support by Google with 'latest updates' at the time, were on completely different version numbers. In fact some devices skipped a release or two.
Even today, some currently supported Nexus devices are on totally different builds of Android 6.0.
Do not assume that because the Nexus 6 has Android 6.0.1 that all other devices will get Android 6.0.1
Great to see there is releases coming, but not for 6p.. Screen shot shows nexus 6
Since there is a discrepancy regarding what phone is being updated, I am closing this thread.
