Docomo Xperia Tablet Z (so-03e) flash 4.3 - Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Docomo's Japan version XTZ (SO-03e) still on 4.1.2.....Really frustrating to wait......until the end of the world......
Can I flash the international version 4.3 on my SO-03E (example link below) ? Did anyone try it?

I have tried it without success.
Tried to flash the 4.3 SGP321 without partition.sin (to leave the 32 GB storage) -> boot loop
Then flashed the 4.3 SGP321 whole -> boot loop
Flashed now back the SO-03E FTF 4.1.2

If you want to use 4.3 on SO-03E , please follow my guide step by step:
_ Always Backup your XTZ
_ Download newest flashtool (0.9.13.0): http://www.flashtool.net/download.php
_ Download Doomlord root toolkit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333566
_ Download PhilZ touch recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335940
_ Download all files in this link: http://www.fshare.vn/folder/T6RHA4M6PT/
Step 1: Make SO03E become SGP321 with 32GB:
Download Stock Rom SO-03E 10.1.E.0.265 (4.1.2) and stock SGP321 10.1.1.A.307 (4.1.2)
Flash 10.1.E.0.265 with default settings. When it finishes, continue flashing 10.1.1.A.307 with unchecking Wipe Data and checking Exclude Partition.
Your SO-03E will become SGP321 with 32GB storage.
Step 2: Rooting and update 4.2.2
Boot up you XTZ
Check unknown sources, USB Debugging, uncheck setup PC Companion
Using Doomlord root toolkit to root XTZ
Then go to Play store download Vodoo rootkeeper to keeping root when Update OTA. Set root protected.
Update OTA 10.3.A.1.67.
Your XTZ will have 4.2.2 rooted
Step 3: Update 4.3
Install PhilZ touch recovery. You will have Dual recovery :CWM and TWRP.
Copy "10.4.B.0.569 4.3 custom DE flashable.zip" to your SDcard1( external SDcard).
reboot to TWRP, flash this file. Then power off XTZ , not reboot to system.
Using Flashtool flash "SGP321_10.4.B.0.569_4.3 Custom DE.ftf" (Stripp file -16MB) wiht Check Exclude Partion
Flash It
Power on, Your SO-03E will run 4.3 rooted and having 32GB storage:good:

i think you have misunderstood my question ? Or maybe I have misunderstood your answer? What i'm trying to find out, can the Docomo Xperia Tablet Z make phone calls ? Like you make regular calls on a Sony smartphone ?

Not, it can't make call. It is just a regular SGP321 with a lot of DoCoMo crap and maybe one thing or other different. Otherwise, it is exactly the same.

It it really great!
If possible, I want to use Movie app in SO-0e3 on 4.3. SO-03e's movie app has a DTCP-IP feature and this enables to play recorded Japanese TV program. If someone know the solution, please let me know..

bro, i am hoping doing these steps would unlock the bootloader of my docomo xperia z tab as i want to install custom/add-on rom like cm11-fidelity version.

bro, was your bootloader unlocked in the process? i am hoping to unlock mine though system info is telling me bootloader unlock allowed:no.
i need it unlock for me to install add-on/custom roms. also, is it really important to backup ta drm, etc? what would be the consequences losing those stuffs?

Sorry to disappoint man .. My bootloader is locked ..
I've been looking for it for a long time and as long as I know .. It's not possible to unlock the bootloader ..
However .. If the ROM you're trying to install doesn't require a custom kernel " if it uses the stock kernel "
Then you don't need to unlock anything , a few custom ROMs support locked bootloaders .. So there's a room to mess up with it =)
And .. I'm a sister , not bro .. If that makes any sense .. ^^

thank you for the enlightenment. can you please share those roms worth trying even with locked bootloader? i tried fidelity z but im stock in a loop after optimization, it would go to home screen then after 2 sec, would restart again. i need a rom which you think is good in order to remove all those docomo crap apps.
if we will follow the steps here in getting to sgp 4.3, will that remove all docomo crap? and can i install your recommended custom rom?

hi guys, i followed every step to get 4.3. i have now a new keyboard which is the split type for easy typing using two hands. my concern is, the screen flickers when the keyboard appears during typing. i have set brightness to auto, you think that could have cause the flickering?
just need to validate if you are also noticing this event.

this is a known bug and its occurring when using a Chrome browser and the default Xperia keyboard (i also encountered it in some floating apps when used at the same time).
Tried different stock ftf firmware for my SGP311 but no good. it occurred after updating to 4.3...
