I'm running cm 10.2 Pollux windy (stable build) on my xperia tablet z wifi and have noticed that there seems to be a bug with the slide down menus from the notification bar. The top portion of the menu seems to be cut off or hidden.
Anyone find a solution for this?

I faced the same problem. In addition, when dragging a clicking in a notification fast, the wrong notification-action is executed.
Are you happy with Cm 10.2?
I do not find it faster or more reliable than the stock one.
After a few tests, I rolled back to the stock rom

Aside from the minor annoyance with the slide down menus, I love cm 10.2, it's very fluid and everything seems to work really well. Really have no interest in going back to stock.
Out of curiosity, What made you revert back?

same here. no ideas how to fix it?
edit: i found something: this bug only happens with the sony logo in the upper right corner. if you draw the tablet that the logo is in the lower left vorner, it works. confusing..
Still exists in cm10.2.1 but i think i will test cm11 later this week.

you may try AOKP version (4.3 MR2 Milestone1). it's even smoother
however the AOKP has a small bug too - when the BT is off, press and hold the BT toggle at quick settings and lead to FC of settings.

I am naming this ROM with my wife's initials CG as a token of appreciation for her support of my work on this project.
Also credit should be given to Chaosz-X, as part of our ROM was based on his work (mainly the vendor config files).
We have moved to RC release which means it's fairly stable and with most functionality supported. But it doesn't mean it's fully working there are still some bugs and some functionality unsupported see below section to see what is not working.
Also remember that this is not a ported rom it's build from scratch with official HTC HC kernel source modified to work with JB AOKP, so it's very stable but the progress is slower since the degree of difficulty is higher. So be patient.

That's because it's build from aokp tree directly, if you have use cm9 or aokp or any other aosp flavor rom, this is how small it usually is. But it doesn't have gapps. so you need to download those separately.
Well, installed, but it doesn't seem to be booting. It just stays at the initial HTC screen. I'll leave it be for a few more minutes, but if it doesn't work, I'll upgrade to Honeycomb and then try flashing it again.

Makes sense. The files for my phone that are built from AOSP are always smaller than the original ROMs, too.

Already started the process to upgrade to HC. I'll keep that in mind for next time, though, if necessary.
Flashing right now
Edit: Ok so from the few minutes i been playing with this the only bugs i notice are:
Red perimeter around the screen if i remember that has to do with the drivers
A occasional lag with the keyboard
the nav bars look too small but once i went into rom control and changed the nav bar width back to default they looked better
Whenever I long press anything on Trebuchet or Nova the screen rotates and then rotates back real quick not allowing me to move the item or anything
I downloaded and it installed on top of Honeycomb without a problem. This looks very promising!
yncconsulting, are you interested in feedback and bug reports at this time, and is this thread the right place for it?

I saw at first the same issues with the red perimeter and not being able to drag an app to the desktop, but this has fixed itself after installing an app from the Play Store.
EDIT: oops, now the rotate-when-drag-to-desktop effect has reappeared
Thanks for the ROM its working great the only issues I have run into is with the homescreen transitions little laggy. A few forced closes when I use the ROM settings and tried to change the theme. Any chance of getting a Sense 4 integration in the future? Or any Sense for that matter I know that this is huge having a working ICS but I really like having a Sense in there too. Again great job guys.

Wow, sounds great.
I know over on the E4GT you have to be VERY careful about how to flash an AOKP ICS build, what recovery to use, what kernel to use - lest you brick your rig.
Any special precautions here?
** Thanks so much for this! Should I assume that the pen will work everywhere with this rom as it does in HC?

It doesn't happen for me, wanna share a video of how that works?
Don't need bug report as there are too many and we know it. Unless you have some ideas or suggestions on how to fix the issues.

Okay, on this ROM now.
I've seen a couple of the bugs that the others have seen, but no big deal for me. For the rotating thing, a reboot put it back to normal for me.
The biggest thing I've noticed that actually does matter to me (other than the rotating thing above) is that scrolling can be wonky at times. If I flick too fast, it won't scroll very much, or it will just bounce a little bit where it is. I sometimes have to follow through with the motion all the way for it to smoothly scroll, in any direction. If you need a video of that, just let me know.
You're off to a better than excellent start. Of course there's bugs that need to be worked out, but you've gotten further than anybody else has, so kudos!
Not that we don't want to but this is source from aokp which means its pure google android without any HTC add on.

Here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0T9vUtBDOQ
I'm first long pressing an app icon on the desktop, the screen rotates twice while I keep the finger down.
I then enter the apps menu and try to long press a widget, then swipe over to the apps section and long press an app, both with the same effect.

I am currently on the Jellybean 4.1.1 stock rom (poland release) on my i9300.
I have an annoyance whereby if you are browsing the internet for example and the screen times out. pressing the home key wakes the device up but minimises the app (this case the browser)
On CM9 rom this does not happen the device wakes up but the last app is displayed and not minimised. Is there any mod to replicate this on the stock 4.1.1 Rom? I am rooted.

Yea i dislike this 'feature' aswell.
On my good old SGS1 this was working as well...
I think it's a bug. ICS ROMs normally ins't like that. all we can do is wait for another update on the Jelly Bean ROM
also tried formatting my SD card to my 2 S3's same Poland JB ROM it will just eject the card ang remount it, it will not format the card

Can anyone esle also confirm if this is a bug? If so is there any fix or mod that can be applied?
it is evident in all jb leaks so far, yes. Jkays mod fixes this, however it also adds a lot of other features you may not want. Not sure if there is an individual mod/fix though somewhere.

Thanks, I have been switching between CM9 and stock JB and have 1 annoying issue on each so wanted a fix before deciding which one was going to be my daily driver.
Yeah it's definitely a bug, but it only does it for some apps, not sure why. It was in CM10 for a bit at the start then someone patched it out, not sure what they did exactly. I haven't noticed it for quite some time but I don't use stock browser, I'm running Siyah Kernal, maybe GM patched it?

So are you using JB 4.1.1 or another Rom? It happens in FB and all other apps I have tried?
This annoyed the hell out of me too but I finally found a solution that works for me. Get Widgetlocker (lockscreen app). Once installed, run it, tap the settings icon, go to advanced, homehelper, then enable homehelper component. Now apps that was open before screen was off, are still there when unlocked using home button. Hope this helps you.
Btw. running Omega 27.2 in case you wondered.

I had the exact same problem after flashing checkrom based on XXLIB. This version of checkrom is a "Naked Base" which means a lot of samsung apps are missing... BUT it has the option to flash all those missing apps and functions using one package. After flashing the said package this was FIXED. After that I could press the home buttom after screen timeout and it turned screen on without minimizing the app I was using.
I have same problem with ARHD 11.2 (Android 4.1.1 / I9300XXDLIB), so it seems to be JB related. It don't matter what app I am using, they all do the same. Very small but annoying problem.

To OP: download a cyanogen mod changelog app from the play store. Set it to our device (quincyatt) and read the nightly changelogs. ALWAYS backup before you flash a nightly so you can restore if you feel the update is unnecessary or adversely affects performance.

Evervolv flashed without any difficulty for me yesterday. I've yet to discover any problems with this rom. I also used Rascarlo's gapps to minimize the Google apps installation package. Adobe flash is also working without problems for my NWS radar site. This ROM will probably become my daily driver until my favorite ROM and kernel package is available and tested.... :good:
BTW, I now show 1.6gb of ram under Settings/Apps/Running... .
Official CM10.1 is working great! It seems to run smoother since 4.2.2 for me. Used the gapps from Banks.

Yeah, latest nightly seems to be working well for me. (17th)
I'm running the latest version of Jellybro, no issues so far.
Running latest CM10.1 which pretty stable and solid for me.
AOKP (2/17) on 4.2.2 also seems stable so far...
Finally decide abandon CM 10.1
Now running Unofficial AOKP 4.2.2, 1st time running AOKP, never know it was that cool! It has more customization to do.
- Better customize function in AOKP v/s CM 10.1:
- Switching between PHONE / TABLET /PHABLET UI Mode!
- Set transparency level, height & color Navigation Bar.
- Transparency level for Notification Bar.
- Layout changes for Statusbar Toggles.
- Clock position switch.
- LED light changes
- Custom Boot Animation. (Pre-loaded with stock animation)
So far AOKP was running stable as well.

Have you had any problem with the navigation bars disappearing in portrait mode?
I tried AOKP a month ago and ran into an issue where the navigation bar buttons disappeared whenever I turned my device into a portrait orientation. Since then, I have been running Cyanogenmod nightlies and have been pleasantly surprised how reliable they are despite the moniker "nightly."

I was just playing around with AOKP. It's improved leaps and bounds since I last tried it. I really like the Tablet UI feature. I might switch ROMs when I have more time to play around/migrate settings.
(And no, I didn't run into the buttons disappearing in portrait mode.)
It's back to CM 10.1 for the time being...
Hey everybody. I'm on Temesak's cm11 builds, and I have a question regarding the app and widget draw behavior. I'm assuming it's a KK thing though, not something to do with the builds.
Every time I open the app or widget draw it opens at the beginning of the draw (the A's). I was wondering if there is a way to have it remember the last page you were on? It's annoying when adding, say a few contact widgets having to scroll back there from the start each time. Same with the apps. Is there a workaround for this? I know, serious world problems eh! Just thought I'd ask.

Thats an unofficial build by Temesak, and also the official cyanogenomd 11 is work in progress and there are still lots of things to be corrected and lots of features to be added yet, the builds that Temesak is building is unofficial which he has build from cyanogenmod 11 source codes by adding his own twiks and features, so it would be best to ask him about this in his Cyanogenmod 11 thread.. maybe he can solve this problem by himself.. And also keep calm, be happy that you rae able to run the android kk which is not yet official from any place to SGS3. all this tings will be solved and missing features will take time to be fixed..
Thanks for the reply. I didn't want to bug him if it was just standard kk behaviour. I'll ask over there.

Even if its a standard kk behavior, cyanogenmod will surely make that one working.. without that the UI will be tasteless.. but i don't think its a kk behavior..
