HI All,
I came across this Xposed module which allows you to switch the UI between, phone, tablet & phablet !!
I have Sony Xperia Z Tablet, UK version, 32GB WiFi (SGP312) running stock 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with root. I've deliberately avoided updating Android because i do not want to loose the Tablet UI. I just cannot understand what Google are thinking putting the phone UI on Tablet platform ?, Why cant they listen to what people want and have an option for the UI in settings ?
Can any one with a Xperia Tab Z confirm if Phab7 works to get Tablet UI back running the new JB 4.3 update ?

Im in the same boat too, haven't updated yet due to losing the tablet ui but if someone can verify it works on 4.3 Ill be updating

Even better solution: Expanded Desktop (contained in Xposed Module Gravitybox) to hide navigation bar. Replace the functionality of the now hidden nav softkeys by using GMD Gesture Control. Works very well on all my devices. If you choose the right user-defined gestures, it will be more comfortable than any button based solution can be.

Hi,
I have a strange problem with my Xperia S: I have constantly popup windows opening, showing the location of (I guess) the nearest cell phone tower. I already tried to turn off all location settings, but the popup still appears, sometimes every 2 minutes.
I also did a firmware upgrade already, no success either. Does anyone have an idea where those popups are coming from???

Can you maybe post a list of apps that you have installed? Maybe an app is responsible for those annoying pop up messages?
Did you configure Mcafee in your phone ? Because mine shows them whem i try to locate the phone using mcafee site .
Nope, I de-installed the McAffee app as one of the first things actually...
I uninstalled McAfee and wisepilot also,went through each setting and menu.....could not find a solution

Has anyone found a solution for this, its driving me insane, during my trip home in the car from work, I have to have the phone on silent to combat the constant updates!!

I tried putting my sim in an old S40 Nokia and disabled cell info display as well as deleted all info channels (including CH50), but still getting these Cell Broadcast messages. Looks like we all have to wait until ICS for things to improve.
I tried the sim swapping thing but it didn't work I'm still getting the pop ups is quite annoying

The new Cell Broadcast option in the latest 6.0.A.3.73 firmware should resolve the problem I think.

Does anyone have the default notification bar icons and theme from ICS for the Xperia S? I'm tired of the ugly skinned icons and custom interface Sony added to the ICS rom(really ugly Settings App skin etc) and was wondering if anyone has a default ICS version that will work with the Xperia S.
What I mean is this(but with the default font and in English ofc), standard Battery/Mobile Signal/Wifi Signal + General theme etc:

Question: why did you bought Xperia S, then? One of its main points it is design and UI, maybe the best out there. Anyway, you could have done a better search and you would have finded themes and mods that changes as least the lock screen, status bar and settings app.

Don't know if it is possible but you might be able to copy over the settings apk from the arc 4.03 ics.

Because I like the hardware? Can I not like a phone because of the shape and design? I find your argument invalid. Am I not allowed to want to change the SOFTWARE on my phone or something?
And I meant the ENTIRE ICS theme, I just used the settings app as an example. I came from CWM builds on my tablet and older phones so I prefer the stock ICS theme and not some ugly manufacturer supplied theme.

It was rumoured that Android 4.3 will be launched with the stock HTC One version, but there was no trace of the new version of Android when the device was launched recently. Recently the camera interface for the Android 4.3 was leaked by someone having 4.3 running on a Nexus 4 at a Thai expo. The new UI was supposed to come with Android 4.3, instead Google has decided to put some new features of Android 4.3 on these phones instead of the complete new update. The test picture I took looked a lot better than the one I took with the stock Sony camera app.
I don't find any option where to save the picture. I want to save to the SD card.
First thank you for the great app.
Tested all functions, and nearly all is working. Only the panorama function is not working it always says i am too fast even if i move really slow.
Could not see a difference in quality between this app and stock, but i did not have so much problems with the quality on stock anyway.
Sometimes still focus problems like on stock (i think thats more a firmware issue than a problem with the camera app).

i tried to install this but i do always get a response saying application not installed. i'm a unrooted stock 1.284 firmware.
stars a few minutes, the test was increased image quality, noise reduction which do not need much tweaking. Do not get saved to the memory card

Only one question, if and when I decide to uninstall it, any advice how to safely remove gallery+camera app and the following "emulated" shortcuts?
And, any tweaks on how to change default storage to SD card?
well to uninstall you can either tap on the app itself or any other shortcut

Hello guys.
I experience an annoying bug which im not able to fix in and way.
The dock of nova launcher (prime, version 2.2.2) is hella buggy! I cant add icons, i cant move icons and the background is black, showing traces of Evers movement i do like swiping to the right or left.
Does some1 know a fix or something? Its very annoying and i would like to customize my homescreen.
EDIT:
I have this bug on every launcher. Even the stock one (trebuchet, running carbonrom with android 4.3.1)
Uninstall it and download the apk I hope it works

Did you fix it? I can move the icons out of the dock but can't add them again!
I have the same problem... !!
I've had it on other ROM's before, but not sure exactly what caused it. I can remove icons from the launcher dock, but cannot add / replace them with anything. They seem to stack up on the dock, but do not actually launch anything.
Running CarbonROM -- Nova Launcher seemed to be ok. I added a coule modules to Xposed Framework, but haven't been able to figure out exactly what broke it yet. I'll keep messing with it. If I find the solution, I will let you know.
If anyone has any input, please advise!
Edit: I disabled all of the Xposed framework modules+reboot -- still didn't work. Uninstalled all framework modules and framework+reboot then uninstalled+reinstalled nova launcher. I still have the same problem, but it's not a problem directly related to nova as I have the same locked dock issue with all launchers. Going to restore from a backup and see if I can recreate the problem.
Update: Apparently the only backup I had had a broken dock also, so it had nothing to do with anything in Xposed as far as I know. I sure would like to know how to fix it if it ever happens again tho!

I had a similar problem running Paranoid Android on my Nexus 4. After a bit I discovered that it only happened when I had the navigation bar hidden, hope that can fix your problem too.

I deactivate Immersive mode, so I can edit the dock in Nova; after I edited it, I reactivet Immersive mode.

Unhidden the soft keys/navigation bar, the dock became OK.
When you fixed the dock, you can hide the soft keys again.
PS: I use a Galaxy Nexus.
Sony will be rolling out the new music app to replace Walkman. Walkman will be renamed to MUSIC. The icon will change to a 'music note'. This is classed as beta but I've not experienced any problems with it at all. Just install as a normal apk. Backup your walkman app just incase you want to restore it or reinstall through play store.

what are the changes beside the re-branding?
There's a visualizer option in the player settings, not sure if that was an option before, can't remember lol. The settings are moved to left swipe menu, I think few visual changes on the player window too, like I said I can't really remember what the old one was like.

Got it in the play store. Walkman was one of the few sony apps I kept on my device. The update made me switch from Play Music to the Sony app. It works very well imho
