nice!
Works great to me, keep up the good work and thank you:good:

I haven't seen any references to Knox. Does this trip the Knox counter like TWRP does? I am stock rooted but have been waiting for a Knox-proof recovery before installing one.

I'm unclear as to the exact level of great you've attained. Could you do a comparison, like a percentage? That's my favorite word, and yet I like precision. I'm keen to know this.

I chose a 10-point Likert scale for EZ conversion.

I came from twrp. The first twrp was garbage, the 2.3.6.7 fixed alot but still not that great imho. this I give a 10. And also on a side note i flash phones on the side for money, and probably do about 10 - 15 phones a week and everyone wants the same thing kit kat, and if you are flashing cm or kit kat roms philz recovery is a must bottom line. this really is an incredible recovery guys I cant say enough really.

hltespr for note 3??
This might be a stupid question but ..why is the Sprint note 3 referred to as the hltespr? This thread refers to the Note 3 as such, as well as noobnle's official CM port. I went to Philz CWM download page and I did see hltespr, though it said nothing about the Note 3. I thought that devs refereed to devices by the model number, so I would think it would be callled N900P??. When I had the Epic Touch I always looked for D710, and I was certain I had the right file cause it was the model number. Sorry if this is a stupid question, im just afraid of downloading the wrong files, and ending up with a brick.

Preliminary Results...

@Phil3759, we have some early results. Our n-size is low, so I would recommend using this only on a directional basis.
At the moment, it looks like your recovery tool is 10x f'n greater than just f'n great. Again, these are preliminary, but they look quite good.
Others using this tool, please take the survey, as I wish to provide this awesome dev that for which he impatiently awaits, so we need a higher sample size.
Remember, we wish to magnitude of f'ng in relation to awesomeness.
[As previously noted, please refrain from negative comments about tools that others have worked hard to provide this community.]

That is the device's code name (device's board name). Every device has one, the Note 3 is the general name for our device. But as there are multiple variants of the note 3 (Verizon, at&t, developer editions, etc...) and most other devices, this "code name" is a more precise means of identifying which actual device it is.

Roms...?

I know the note is very new and I see there are 2 roms out there already! I'm new to att. Coming from sprint and evo..my question is how much dev support will this have? I've never heard of Odin will I have to use it instead of a custom recovery? Will I be able to just root and use cwm or twrp to flash roms themes etc..? I have 30 days to test phone. While I do love it I worry about dev support. Thinking if we will get aosp or miui love? Anyone have any inside news?

Off the cuff? I'd say a bit note than the average Samsung phone, seeing as how it's so awesome. Might take a bit though, Sammy isn't as nice as HTC when it comes to unlocking bootloaders.

Odin is always your fail-safe and safest was to flash...it's really not that hard...
BUT there already is a CWM Beta recovery that works great for the Note. So you will be able to flash everything the way you did on your evo

Actually Samsung doesn't lock their bootloaders. HTC or Verizon does. And yes you will be able to use CWM to flash. There is also been talk that AOKP group is building us a ROM.

Let me get out my crystal ball.
I agree that there will be very good dev support. We already have two very excellent devs that have released ROMs and several others working on roots and other tools.
As stated, the CWM beta 3 recovery is getting great reviews.
I say keep the phone but it's your call.

Do we have a wiping script?

I'm one of those people who wipes multiple times. With my previous phones there has always been a script (its easier I run it three times in a row in twrp and leave my phone alone for a few) does anyone have a flashable to wipe or maybe could someone make one?

Not aware of one either but I used to do the exact same thing on my gnex so I'd be very interested as well. I'd do manual wipes then run the script twice just to make sure everything was nice and tidy

It doesn't mention anything about vzw support though... I'm kinda sketched or by flashing another carriers rom. Even if they're both cdma and equipped with the same processors.

I just hope that at some point, he can add the full floating window kit. It is awesome. I am not asking for anything, just hoping. I love synergy, and glad it is making it to our devices. I tried flashing the rom last night. I picked the full wipe option and it was stuck at 10% for 25 minutes. I remember on the S3 Synergy rom the full wipe option took a long time and that's why I waited so long. I didn't have time to flash with a regular wipe. I'll test out more tonight.

The new minitab rom does the floating window app better than any other rom ive seen. Only a few issues but theyre worth tollerating.
It looks like a nice rom, but synergy has a minimize button, which you can use just like windows, or linux. It is only on the s3 right now, but it is the one option that makes multiwindow beast.

As soon as I see a stable Synergy Ron in the VZW Note 2 development, I will flip my lid. Was my daily driver with my GS3. They're a great number of solid stock TW roms currently for the GN2 but have been waiting for a good rom that adds many of different options/choices such as theirs.
My buddy runs it on his s3 also.I will check it out. I flip from aosp to tw and back like every other day.

I flashed the sprint version of synergy then persus 36 vzw kernel lastly the vzw convert zip from scotty and it booted up fine
I was able to make and recieve calls but only major issues is I don't have data working
When I check the phone status it'll show my number and ime but it doesn't recognize the carrier its listed as unknown
Any way to get data working?
I also tried the sprint jelly bomb rom and most of the things I've tried works. Calls, bt, text , data , cameras.
1 major thing is that data is very slow even tho I have lte compared to other vzw roms I've tried.
Very sweet rom too but can't stand the data being too slow

updated to kitkat from 4.3 mj4 phone freezing

HI all anyone can help me with my phone freezing every 5 mins and then i have to pull the battery or hold the power down to reset it. this started after i installed kitkat and i followed the installation to the letter T and my basband still has MJ4 in it as well and Software Version i am unsure if this has anything to do with it. I have taken steps from which i thought were the problem and have not been successful at all i have installed three different versions of kitkat and still get the same results as well as the Baseband and the Software version does not change even with me installing a kitkat boot loader and all kitkat components that are available at the moment. does anyone know where i can find kitkat modem/firmware i see the firmware but no modem.
I would go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2657447 and flash that thru Odin so it gives you everything firmware....etc then root if you are wanting to be rooted

No, I just called sprint and complained that I did a update and now my phone freezes randomly and I was not going to sit in a sprint store for 2 hours and that I had better things to do so don't waste my time telling me to go to the sprint store . So she sent me another note3.. With kitkat pre installed. .

I think it's great that @rlmiller provides instructions, but I kindly ask that you avoid linking to instructions that are tethered to one specific rom. These Q&A threads are from folks whom need tailored help, and I highly encourage providing that help.
Linking a user whose aim is to upgrade to TouchWiz KitKat to one specific rom draws the user towards one something in lieu of many possibilities.
I've written at least 3 such instructions in the last 2 nights, equally detailed, and specific to the user.
I'd think it better for all development if the question were answered or linked to same, unfettered by a specific rom.
