Hi all, spotted the next batch of Cyanogen Snapshot releases have been launched. Sad not to see the One X+ in there. Anyone know what's holding development up? Saw someone mention the kernel needs a update on another forum, that right?
In the meantime anyone using a 4.4 rom they'd recommend? Looking for something fairly stable and vanilla as it's on my main device. Subtle differences between 4.2.2 and 4.4 really stand out when using both my nexus 4 alongside the One X!

There is one thread for the a miui rom but it is no longer getting support. is there any other dev who loves the miui and wants it on the onex+ maybe a port from the RD-Miui?

I hope there is. Anyway... all threads are about the same. I wonder how I stopped myself from creating a new )) And hope this will help... At least we need to overtake the simple HOX.

My best guess after having tried and failed, lloir's AOSP would be fine. But then we need an AOSP based miui v5 as well (eg nexus or any other AOSP port). Sense based is in IMHO also feasible, not the best option though, as miui seems to put less ressorces on device specific versions. On my old SGS2 specific miui was slower and heavier on the battery then AOSP ports.

For miui you need 4.1.2 aosp rom for a base you cant use a 4.2.1 base. I'm just saying just so no one wastes time trying with a 4.2 base

Will we get the stock Android without Sense from the recently announced unlocked HTC One to the DNA? Is it possible?
The version on the Google edition of the One isn't as stock as you would think. There was an article on XDA about how it isn't recieving updates from Google (instead its coming from htc). As well it is much larger than one would think compared to nexus versions of 4.2. I would say stick with CM10.1 to get the best AOSP experience.

Just wondering if anyone is working on this, how many people are waiting for it, etc... I like stock android more than sense and with all the htc one based roms out there, is it easier to do a one based GPE Rom than porting CM to our device?
I'd use CM, but I like my Bluetooth audio more than stock android.

i heard that GPE isnt even stock android, its just de-sensed. besides, there are a million different 4.2.2 AOSP roms already, i dont think anyone would even bother porting over GPE. just my opinion
Every AOSP Rom so far that I've found doesn't have working Bluetooth audio though. The GPE Roms aren't just de-sensed to my knowledge, they aren't AOSP, but they are close enough for me.

As I'm sure you've heard, a pre-release ROM was leaked for the M7 that is Sense 5 Android 4.3, and there are now several M7 ROMs based on the leaked software. Is anyone working on getting this to the DNA? I know we now have official CM10.2, as well as official PACman, ReVolt, and Cyanfox. Plus all the unofficial AOSP 4.3 ROMs. We also have a member of team Cyanfox right here in the DNA forums! And, of course, the 4.2.2 based Sense 5 ROMs. Who's to say the one of the amazing devs here can't get us the best of both worlds?
And also, if this was done, wouldn't newt be able to update his GPE ROM to 4.3?

They'll probably wait for the official DNA release since its due sometime this month. If the release is delayed I'm sure a port will surface.

Not official yet, but an update is due this month for the One and DNA, and there was a 4.3 leak for the One.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but seeing since the DNA update won't be until the end of the year and seeing that well only be getting 4.2.2 is there amt new info or devs working on a 4.3 port? Considering too the the One has a leaked 4.3 Rom available.
I'm also new to this, what's needed by devs for a port? Is it Royce code access and if so how long on average does it take for HTC to release the source code?

Newt has a booting functional 4.3 port but broken RIL for vzw users . He has said he would to release until everything was working, which imo is what he should do.

Oh okay thanks, I agree with waiting too. It's not of any use to me if I can't make it a daily personally.
I'll have to wait for the GSM too but glad to see DNA roms being in development.

Google IO is supposed to be July this year, and perhaps Android 4.5 or 5.0 is going to be released.
