KitKat 4.4:
I want to hide some apps that are in the drawer, like Superuser and DevTools.
How can I do that?
Thanks

I have the speedrom version 6.0 and it uses trebuchet as the default launcher. I like apex launcher better and was wondering can I push the apex launcher apk to system/apps and delete the trebuchet apk, restart my phone and have Apex as the default launcher? Thank you in advance to anyone for their help.

Of course you can, go to play store and download apex, when finished, press home, and you will be able to select between apex and trebuchet, select set as default, and select apex and done, apex is your default launcher. No need to delete trebuchet though

Btw, apex has a feature that even if its not installed to system/app, it will allow you to select widgets from the app drawer

I always use root explorer to push nova launcher and its paid version unlock key to /system/app and change permissions. Then I reboot and delete previous launcher
I prefer nova over apex... just my opinion

You can use any launcher, not just the ones mentioned.

Hi...just interested to know if people are using any alternative launchers or alternative apps such as the messaging app as opposed to the stock stuff and WHY?
Sent from my U8815 using Tapatalk 2
I use QuickPic instead of Gallery. Because you can hide folders and you don't get the network folders showing up.

Is that the paid version as i miss vertical grid scrolling option?
What about messaging apps...don't think the stock app offers privacy mode!

I switch from back and forth from stock to the Xperia s launcher. It runs smooth on this phone and looks great too.

Even better than hiding apps with hide it pro is locking them with it - very useful for apps you frequently need but don't want people to sneak around like facebook etc.

Is there any application that allows me to hide my apps?? I have seen launchers but I just want an app cause I really love apex launcher pro.

Apex Launcher IS a launcher and you can hide apps with Apex. I'm pretty sure it's the same as Nova.
Apex Settings>Drawer>Hide Apps....

i use hide it pro, built into Omega Rom but you can also download from the market https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartanuj.hideitpro&hl=en
Hide it pro doesn't work for me.. once I restart my phone, my hidden apps will show up again... which makes me no choice buy to post here...

Just install the apk then hit the home button and it will pop up what you would like to use just choose Google now just once to try it out or always if you already like it.
