[FIX] Increase touch screen sensitivity - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

hello guys.
i'm going to share with you guys how you can make the touch screen more responsive on the Xperia U.
please note:- this may work on other devices but is not tested
please note2:- This requires a rooted device and read write access to the system folder.
please note3:- i am NOT responseable for ANY damage caused to your device in any way, by rooting your device you have voided your warrenty and taken the next few steps on your own head
ok as you know the touch screen is really buggy and this is because of the cheap touch screen they have used.
you have 2 ways of fixing it
1. send your device to sony and they will replace the screen (i have heard this has fixed the problem for many users)
or
2. try this fix
the fix goes like this
1. get root ---> check this link to find out how --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933985
2. install root browser from android market or es file explorer (for es file explorer you will need to activate root via the app's settings)
3. navigate to /system/usr/idc
4. backup the file named "synaptics_rmi4_i2c.idc"
5. next open the above file (not the backup you just made)
6. edit these lines
touch.size.scale= 20
touch.size.bias = 70
touch.pressure.scale= 5
(before they was
touch.size.scale= 10
touch.size.bias = 0
touch.pressure.scale= 0.005)
7. save and reboot your device
if the above changes still didnt work just increase the values but the above values are optimal
and your done!
if this helped please give the post a thanks any problems let me know, i'll be glad to help you out
p.s. if this is in the wrong section please let me know i did think hard to where this fitted in the most and since it meant changing system values i thought it best go here

wow! very helpful info man..

yes you can just open es file explorer, press the menu key, go into settings, then scroll down to where you see root options, then select root explorer and mount system R/W

Why all this? The touchscreen works fine.

Because .idc files support was just added in 4.0.
Input calibration, like at all, should have been already there in 2.3 though (and in fact you can find the same configs in libui.so)
I'm not sure they can be externally overridden, unless you tinker with kernel events. In build.prop maybe we trust?
Also, notice touchscreen controller is just a part of the equation.
And also also, it smells really fishy that ours and gnex's are configured the same.

Sorry for noob question, but how do we push it ? Just flash the zip, paste the files, or we need to change permission as well, or anything else ?

Flashing the zip won't work, pasting the files just sent me into bootloop, and pasting the files changing the permission sent me into bootloop as well. I reccomend avoiding this "fix" till we get some decent instructions. Going for 3RD reflash now

4.2 Keyboard and camera

Android 4.2 keyboard with gesture, its as good as swipe.
http://m.pocketnow.com/2012/10/30/android-4-2-stock-keyboard-now-available-for-download-unofficially
After installing go to languages and input and check Android Key board
Hope it will be useful.
Download and Install
Now, getting it on your device is going to be easy for some of you, and less easy for others. You'll need to be on Android 4.0+, to start.
If you're on a phone with a UI overlay that has the stock keyboard disabled (eg, Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense, Sony), you can just download the apk below- no root required. To install, make sure you have "install from unknown sources" enabled in your phone settings, and after installation, go into your phone's keyboard settings and enable "Android keyboard." Then, you can switch to the new keyboard. This may also work on some "stock" Android custom ROMs - but it will not work on stock Android builds distributed by Google.
Get the apk here: http://d-h.st/XuS
If the apk doesn't work, you're running a phone that is either A.) running stock Android (as in, AOSP), or B.) running software that has the stock Android keyboard as an option, you'll need to download this ZIP file, and flash it in recovery. That also means you're going to need root. as you'll be writing to /system/apps. Before you do, though, either back up the stock keyboard (if you don't know how, you probably shouldn't be doing this) or create a full image backup, just in case. Here's that ZIP file:
Get the zip here: http://d-h.st/36D

Sony’s display calibration software ported to Xperia Z

The software allows users to separately adjust white balance, colour saturation and hue. Given the criticisms in some quarters over the Xperia Z display, it is surprising that Sony didn’t include the software, although we may see it appear in an upcoming update.
Thankfully the apk has been ported over from the Xperia ZL if you don’t want to wait. Your Xperia Z will need to be rooted for the calibration app to work, as you need to set the right permissions. Instructions to get this working can be found
This Video Link & You can Watching :

It's Work For Xperia 2011 Devices MDPI/HDPI
Alternative method ( thx @gm007 )
1. Download the zip file in the 1st post of this thread.
2. Unzip the file.
3. Inside the White Balance.zip\system\app folder, there is a whitebalance.apk file. You need to copy this file to your phone's system\app folder. Remember to set the permissions to rw-r-r.
4. Inside the White Balance.zip\system\lib folder, there is a libdisplayservice.so file. You need to copy this file to your phone's system\lib folder. Remember to set the permissions to rw-r-r.
5. Inside the White Balance.zipe\system\lib\hw folder, there is a libdisplay.default.so file. You need to copy this file to your phone's system\lib\hw folder. Remember to set the permissions to rw-r-r.
6. Reboot.
7. Go to Settings -> Display and you should be able to see the White Balance setting.
