I am a beginner in android development
I want to write an app in eclipse on sending my location via message to a number on my phone.
Is there any tutorial on how to do it??
I have followed tutorial for sending message and for getting gps location seperatly.
I do not know a way to combine both of them though.
Please help.

I have already unsuccessfully searched in the forum ...
i have configured in the device my exchange server email...it works everything but it is missing a device encryption which would allow me to read the email than now are completely unformatted.
I am searching for a *.p12 file but no way to find it anywhere...
As an alternative I have downloaded Secure EAS, an application which allows me to view the email perfectly well but, at the same time, downloads the full email and cannot set up 2Kb as a default....
I am getting quite crazy here...would appreciate if anybody could give me a hint...thank you guys!

I have searched the threads available on this topic, but was not able to find an answer so posting it again.
Call log is completely useless when you have the same person's name listed 20 times in a day, is there no way to group it by caller without installing any custom ROM's?
And also in the call log only time is displayed which is kind of useless as scrolling down is a pain the wrong place
i am new to android world, so pardon my ignorance, everyone talks about customizing android but i cant find simple options like the above to be done by getting in the file system and making the changes in the parameters file
are there any guides to know where the android system files are stored what can be edited? i have downloaded the SDK and installed the tools but cant figure out where should i start.
any insights or help is appreciated.

i just need ur help,very urgent pls,
i want to submit a android app for my college,
a phone locator
auto start,sms triggered and sim change triggered, makes alarm irrespective of the volume ,
locks phone , backup of personal data like contacts, and location both GPS and Cell identifier(Cell id i.e ID when network or wifi ),
alerts the 5 saved nos about the phone is lost with location.
main thing in the project is cell identifier,
each action like alarm , backup, location using cell identifier, gps, lock phone, is done if command keyword and password is sent,
help me ,
i could find separate source code for each programs, but it is not working at the latest ADT BUNDLE which is a google adt and eclipse combined,
most error occurs since the version mismatch and also the source code is edited automatically for the Android 4.2, did many things and read many web resources, all are confusing,
i need ur help or any one who could help,
i want help on creating this app
and the way how i can use old source code in the new adt bundle, thanks, very urgent pls

I´m developing an application for backing up different kinds of information stored in a smartphone.
Therefore I need to send the data from my device to another hardware, I want to realize it via Bluetooth but.
I use a bluetooth - module called "JY-MCU" for the external hardware I send the data to.
So faar so good, the only problem I have is the bluetooth connection which breaks up while sending the data.
E/bt-btif ( 905): unknown send() error, sent:-1, p_buf->len:93, errno:32
That's the LogCat entry I got.
I googled the errors but was not able to find any answer...I hope you guys can help me interpreting this error.

Hi everyone.
I've started a few months ago to develop android apps. I have an apk and to redistribute it to the user, I mount and Ftp Server with the apk file, and with a button the user can connect to the ftp server and download it.
I have done this already, my problem comes when installing the apk, that the system send me the following message.
Error analysis
There was a problem parsing the package.
I think it could be the version of the SDK but if I'm running the app it has no sense.
I hope someone can help me.
