Anyone for some MIUI? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I'm a huge MIUI fan but I haven't run it for any significant amount of time on my last few phones because it just wasn't stable enough.
Now that we have a nice CM based foundation I'm hoping some dev will try his hand at porting MIUI.
If any of you guys are interested post on this thread and hopefully it will catch the eye of a dev/porter willing to try his luck creating it for us!

I'd be interested in playing with it, certainly. It's always seemed like the ports (for other devices) were half-arsed, network issues plagued things. While I'm not a fan of what people usually refer to as "iPhone clone" features, I LOVE the settings menu, and several other aspects of miui...
Curious to see if any devs agree, feel like working on such a thankless task.
Sent from my calculator watch.

I haven't been able to run MIUI since my Evo 3D, because a stable port wasn't available for my past 3 phones. I do miss it, hopefully someday we'll get a stable port on the GN3

Haven't flashed MIUI since my Nexus S 4g. Lol

In the last week, the internationnal version if the note received a rom from Codenaster, a ported version of AOKP and of MIUI all running on ICS. Well probably see the same roms for us once we get a ics leak. This is awesome!
Glad you guys appreciated my not-so-subtle hints. We are working hard on the T989 and 727 (hercules and celox) and will begin work on the Note as soon as the i777 progresses to a more solid state.

Man I wish I could put on CM9 already!
I've been playing with CM9 on my SGS2 which just came out yesterday and it is super kickass. Just few minor details that need to be worked out, like no video recording. Hopefully, by the time it comes out for our Note, everything should be OK. I don't see face unlock in it. I wonder if it would be included later on. I played with the ICS att leak, and don't see much of a difference other than face unlock. I'll stay on Saurom Rom until DAGr8 releases an ICS version of it. Way better.

Anyway, i wont bet on anything offical; while i am sure there are examples, not many HTC phones get more than one update.. we are still waiting on ICS.
That said, i have more hope that once we have a working RIL (among other components) that a CM JB will come along. Given that this new version shouldn't be the leap that ICS was, i doubt we will need a whole new kernel.. probably just tweaks here and there (possible once we get source)..

Update on Jellybean

Looked at the Sprint Community Forums and there was this user (crfinaz1) that went to a Sprint tech store in Arizona and met and HTC rep. According to the rep, it was supposed to be released on the 27th, but HTC sis not like the mods to the new UI in Sense. The OTA was sent to some random users but it was quickly pulled off because of the mods that HTC didn't like. According to this user, the update is coming out this Sunday, (12/2/12).
I an highly doubtful that this will happen on Sunday, but we all have our fingers crossed for this update to come out. And I think its pretty hilarious that we might get the update before the AT&T One X does . Justifies that Sprint is great at updating if we get the update on the second (first one for the GS3).

Pretty much this. I had been thinking about going with a pure Jelly Bean ROM, but figured I'd patiently wait for Sprint/HTC to release it. How long do you think it'll take to root it when it gets released? LOL
Already using JB, Ran away from Sense to (what I really hated before) CM to fix multitasking, and now cannot bring myself back to Sense. But CM10 lacking proper camera drivers, and has a bit more weirdness. Not for everyone, that's for sure.

He was off on the One hardware as he stated no new Qualcomm snapdragon chips in development by HTC a short while ago... I'm more interested in timing of OTA than anything else regarding this new development....

Project butter?

This is in no way a rant or an accusation of any of the developers for this phone, this is an honest question.
Will we ever see fully functional project butter on this phone? I remember reading a while back In the dev thread that it would require some work to fit our specific device. Is anyone working on it? Ive been keeping an eye on the dev thread for jelly bean but haven't seen anything about project butter probably since chad posted something about it when we first got jelly bean. I understand that the devs are busy with their everyday lives, and the time they spend out of their day developing is awesome for the community! I'm just wondering what needs to be done for project butter on the rezound, and if there is anyway for someone like me with only a small bit of knowledge but a decent amount of time available to help in some way to bring butter to this phone.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium HD app
Working on it ....
Slowly. Cameras pretty much are the only thing that is missing and highly doubt there will ever be a build with a working front face cam.
If you see something that refers to an ION build of JB, that's project butter.

You just gotta produce a few more roms. Chick's dig it when guys bury their hands in some code.
I'm running Tron 2.1 with Funky 3.3 kernel with "lag-free" as the governor, and my Rezound feels real smooth and gets great battery life. 90% as good as my Nexus 7, I would say.

If your cameras work, you're on a PMEM build (no project butter). ION builds (meaning project butter) have camera issues at this point in development. From what I've heard ION builds are a significant amount smoother than the current PMEM builds.
