[APP] Note 3 INFO - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hi guys,
I wrote this app to provide detailed information about our Note 3, including:
SAMSUNG SPECIFIC INFO:
- Phone Colour (Samsung specific)
- Phone Manufacturing Date (Samsung specific)
- Knox Warranty Void (Samsung specific)
- CSC Product Code (Samsung specific)
- CSC Sales Code (Samsung specific)
- Country Region (Samsung specific)
- RIL Serial Number (Samsung specific)
- PDA Version (Samsung specific)
- CSC Version (Samsung specific)
- Changelist (Samsung specific)
... ...
Using this app you can know exactly what country your phone has been produced for. So you can choose the correct firmware to flash.
You can known your Bootloader version so you can decide what method use to root, whether the Knox will be tripped, which firmware version can be flash over...

Knox info doesn't show, nor color.
Edit: Would also be nice to copy to clipboard some of the results

New Update v1.0.5:
- Add Hardware info, Board/Chip Name, Hardware Revision
- Some improvements

Knox says "not exist" now. I don't know if that is what you want it to say or not. Still no color info, product code, or RIL serial number. Other than that, great job. Really like this so it is easy to pull up info. Thank you
A few things to look into but does not affect the functionality of your app
1. Samsung should be capitalized
2. Phone manufacturing date could be formatted for USA like Build date.
3. Build number could be cut down to not include the PDA info.
4 and 5. Build fingerprint and description could be cut down so the relevant info can be read.
6. Hardware could be changed to Qualcomm instead of qcom.
This is just a list of me nitpicking anything I see. Does not have to be done, nor am I saying your app is bad because of those. Just listing them for you.

Thank you for your comments. I will look into it. Thanks
"Not exist" means Samsung does not track for warranty bit on your phone, because it does not exist
Sorry for my poor english, it may make misunderstanding. Can you suggest me which phrase I have to use in this case? "Not exist" or "not found" or "warranty Void free" or something else?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

You're welcome. I would say something like "bit not found" or "no information" to better represent what is going on. Not found could mean that the trip information wasn't found so the warranty is still good when that may not be the case.

Unable to send SMS on stock ICS roms

Okay as the title says, I'm unable to send ANY SMS messages from my phone to another when on AOKP, AOSP or CM9
It works flawlessly on the ICS Samsung roms though..
Can anybody please help..?
I've tried switching numerous roms..resurrection, hydrogen, F1 Galaxy Nexus, the SMS just doesn't seem to work..
Oddly, receiving works just fine though the sending is having trouble..

did you check the message centre number was there?
Yeah about that, I've searched for that but can't really find the message center number anywhere..

I tried changing the SMSC using the dialer code, however that doesn't seem to work when I click update it says update error and the cellular connection restarts itself..

Also, the SMSC displays 00
Something tells me that's what's wrong..
Of course it doesn't change the fact that I'm unable to modify it

Ask your network for the required information reference the number .
As you are asking about non Samsung roms its worth checking the relevant development threads .

Well i'm aware of what my center number is and also i just switched to a samsung rom and found out that the settings say that my message center number isn't set while it sends and recieves messages with no problem

What provider are you with?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
It's a different provider. I live in the middle east. The providers here aren't exactly popular
I think i'll re-flash my region firmware through odin and then install one of the AOKP roms through cwm and see if the center number persists

I had this same problem! Thought it was the ROM but its just my message service centre was empty.
Method 1:
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Select Phone Info
Scroll down and where it says SMSC, put in your Message Centre number including post code +
Then click update.
Method 2:

Method 1 gave me an update error
Method 2 since I'm on a Samsung ROM right now, I can change the center number from the messaging app itself. So I did and went to the dialer, entered the code and saw that the smsc changed
I then tried to again manually change it (though everything was working just fine but it was giving me some odd 07.. Kind of numbers)
The manually changing didn't quite work then I copied the same number that was displayed before when I changed the center number through messaging app and pasted it in the smsc to see if now it updates and it works!
I think all I have to do now is go to an aosp ROM of my choosing and input the same number in the smsc

The 07 number was working but the other number with the area code wasn't... Now going to AOKP

Anyone on Orange UK got HD Voice working?

Use
*#197328640# in the dialer
and check option 8 for WB-AMR status
I am seeing:
WB-AMR SETTING: OFF
GSM WB : OFF
UMTS WB : OFF
Anyone on stock firmware able to change this?
I am using a rooted SGS3 with XLITE ROM and am wondering if the reason I am unable to change this is due to the modem/radio I am using
I'm on orange UK and the dialer number doesn't work for me.

any solution for this ???
Aloha did you managed to Activate it or did you just flasshed Orange Rom in your phone??
is there any way of activating this
I already posted the only solution I found a few weeks ago
The only answer I got was that it was not simple enough (people seems to always want a "one click" solution)...
So for now, there is 2 solution:
-find the post where I explain the step to follow
-wait for a simple solution from someone else
Did anyone get HD voice working??
Sotmax v14 custom rom enables hd voice (wb-amr) on All Networks Worldwide after first install..

Incredibly helpful.
Here is the actual post for those that can't find it.
Need to be rooted:
-find /system/csc/customer.xml file
-change the wb-amr settings in this file
-reboot
-check your wb-amr status
-if it is still "on", then backup all your data and perform a factory reset
-now your wb-amr status should be "off"

[DEV][GT-I9300][CM10.1] Defuxxing Samsungs RIL carnage (AOSP libril)

I'm currently trying to use a source built libril (AOSP) on CyanogenMod 10.1 and already made some nice progress.
Fixing samsungs ril carnage at libril means that we don't have to make the framework part another carnage.
It's also more efficient to do it on a lower layer and will make our lifes easier in future.
Patch: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/35359/
Progress:
- Samsung added 5 additional ints to RIL_AppStatus, did the same to avoid breakage.
- Fixed samsungs messed up signal strength response, valid are 0-31, 99 and samsung sends something between 300-1200
Todo:
- nothing?
What's working?
- SIM Pin
- Calls
- Data
- SIM Toolkit (Maybe just partially)
What's not working?
That's what we need to find out.
Testbuilds:
cm-10.1-20130409-UNOFFICIAL-i9300.zip - 167.36 MB
Test everything you can think of, if something fails make sure to get logs for me: adb logcat -b radio
You should run this build for at least some days.
Don't post logs directly into the forum, use www.pastebin.com and post the link!
Please do not use GetRIL on this build. It might replace libril and kill radio completely for you.
HI codeworkx,
until now it seems looks good but sim toolkit icon is not available, I will test it for few days and reporting to you.
Thank you.
Looks very interesting. I'll download and test.

Is the Ril current condition related to the inability to completely disable fast dormancy on 4.2.2? Or there's another reason? (userspace, kernel)
I'm lost where this could be fixed. It is the largest issue I had with AOSP (I can manage my way around the other issues)

if ur provider have fast dormancy enabled why would u want to disable it?

means you're still runing the proprietary one from samsung.

Kitkat on my Verizon S4 - what does it get me?

Hello,
I just got the official kitkat update and don't know if it gets me anything I want. I'm sure it has a ton of updates I don't really care about. Does it cover any of these?
1. Is it more accurate in voice dial - does let me set it to only search my address book?
2. Does it give me a larger reject list for junk telemarking calls? (I think the old list was at 100)
3. Does it give me a way of exporting my junk dialer numbers to my next device?
4. Does it stop my phone from randomly dropping calls?
5. Does it include some sort of RBL black list for telemarketers?
I haven't seen any of that in the unofficial change logs nor I would expect Sammy to have significantly updated their dialer app. Not really much updated besides the under the hood enhancements related to Kit Kat.
