try flashing EH03 through Odin and see if you get data through there...
sometimes some phones just don't like custom ROMs

Flashed and then lost all non wifi internet access

I have rooted my phone months ago but this was the first time I flashed a new rom. now the internet does not work at all. Does anyone have any ideas? I already tried to reflash different roms, reset apn settings to default, reset to stock and even went to ATT store and got a new sim card. Its an international edition of the phone that used to work perfectley.
Your new rom probably doesn't have your apn so factory reset wont help. Google for them and enter them manually.
Could also be modem related. I have an i9100T from Telstra Australia. Every time I flash a new rom I reflash a T model modem and all is good again.

Hi mate,
first of all to be sure make a full wipe before flashing rom (again):
Go to CWM:
1) wipe data, factory reset
2) wipe cache partition
3) mount & storage > format
a) cache
b) system
c) data
4) advanced > wipe
a) dalvik cache
b) battery stats
Then flash rom and reboot.
If then doesn't connect by itself that isn't a fold from flash.
CHEERS ;-)

He probably just needs to make a new APN with the carrier settings.

Google "APN settings >your_carrier_name<" and you'll most likely be fine. If you already have an APN be sure to enable it by clicking the circle next so it greens out ( may be confusing for people with only one APN )
tried changing the apn manually
I tried changing the APN settings manually but still no success. I will try re flashing now but I suspect the issue is somewhere else.
Try setting the network or what ever it is from GSM to GSM/WCDMA.
But you can make calls and send sms, right?

When making a new APN you should input APN name, proxy, port, and server fields really carefully, check once again if it's correct. If you can make calls , send sms , and use Wi-Fi then i seriously doubt it's a ROM problem
Search market for Tweakker as sets up APN just connect WIFI to get set up.

So i tried to download tweakker it says that its not available on my carrier even though I am using only wifi. The only thing i have not tried yet is to reflash the modem. Can anybody point me in the right direction of us ATT modem. Thanks.

Did you try changing from Auto to GSM/CWDMA like I suggested?
This happened to me also, but I've flashed about a dozen times over the past week. I can't seem to find that exact setting now, but I can tell you that the one time I couldn't get data service, this fixed it for me.

So I know you said you already re-entered your APN settings; what did you enter?
Are you using the "wap.cingular" APN, or the "phone" APN? If you're using the "phone" APN, what data plan are you on? If you are using the "phone" APN, and you are NOT on an unlimited "4G" plan, then you won't get data, and should use the "wap.cingular" APN.
I have tried literally ever apn setting i have found on this site, on other sites and the default ones.

Ok - are you sure you have an I9100, and not an I9100T or G or some other variant? You may have flashed a ROM intended for an I9100 when you don't actually have that model... If you have an I9100T, you may need to just flash a modem appropriate to that model. Unfortunately, I don't know where to get them.

[Q] Missing MAC after flashing Custom ROM ** SOLVED by WARRANTY**

Hi guys,
i flashed my I9100 with the Lite'ning ROM and after that my WLAN stopped working. I did some research and found out that my MAC address got erased from my eeprom, i think.
Some topics i found:
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=322225
I also tried recovering my EFS folder but no luck with this. My IMEI is still there and my phone is working perfectly fine except the WLAN.
If i try to activate my WLAN it just says "Error" and deactivates its self afterwards.
Like said before if i enter this code " *#*#232338#*#* " i get a message that says "File does not exists!! Unable to get MacAddress!!"
So is there any way to recover it or flash a new one?
I would really appreciate some help.
The last person to mention this on these forums (yesterday) didn't have an I9100 and was flashing stuff for the wrong device. Are you absolutely sure you have an I9100, and not one of the many variants? (check under your battery)

I searched again through the back side of my phone and the original package but no luck at all.
Would be really fantastic to get a complete efs/wifi backup surely without the original MAC-Address of the owner.
Thanks for the efforts so far

I'm sorry pal, can you please give me some instructions. Don't quite follow.
Search for the original firmware that came with your phone here. If links don't work, search on Samfirmware.com. If you download from Samfirmware, follow the instructions they have on their site for flashing firmware downloaded from there. If you manage to download firmware from links in Intratech's thread I linked you to, follow the instructions in that thread to flash.
Edit to add - Also, you can use the latest firmware for your carrier/country rather than the original firmware which came with the phone. To download it, get the PC version of Checkfus (search for it on here/Google), this allows you to input your phone model, country & carrier & it will tell you what the latest available stock firmware is you'd normally get from Kies. The package you download with Checkfus can be flashed in Odin following the instructions in Intratech's thread I linked you to above.
Once you're back on stock, you can root your phone again/flash CM7/whatever you want.

So once I flash with oden to my original firmware I'll no longer be in CM7?
and my phone will be unrooted and pretty much stock. I then root my phone, install CM7, try and restore the backup I once created?
Sounds about right?
*EDIT*
And I'll have to firstly wipe date/factory reset so my phone will start, from there connect it to my computer so I can proceed with flashing?
Yep, that's exactly right Get it back to stock so you have a 'clean slate' to start with, then you can root again & go back to CM7 or whatever rom you want to use. So far as restoring your backup goes, yeah, once you're rooted & have CWM installed, I guess you can try & restore it.

Man, I've legitly searched everywhere can't find it. Is there anything else I can do?
I just want to restore my data
What did I say about using Checkfus to get the latest firmware ? You're going to need to read a bit better & try a bit harder :-|
You could maybe try flashing a kernel that has CWM (there are lots of them, search) before you go back to stock, tho it sounds like CWM is messed up. Frankly, I'd go back to stock if I had that problem. That's why I suggested it.

So the only thing I can do is go back to stock and do everything again?
What's the reason for doing that?
My point is it's only when I restore my back up then I can't boot up properly. But it's 100% fine when I delete data/factory. I just want the data from my back up. Apps texts etc. need them so bad.
*depression sets in*
Right. OK. Let me explain my reasoning behind why I've made the suggestion I have to you...
If the only issue is your backup won't work, I doubt there's much you can do about it. The backup is obviously no good. Probably.
Now...What I would do is to go back to basics as I've suggested already. Back to stock, fresh root with CFRoot. And then give restoring the backup one last try with a clean setup. You can be fairly confident if your backup can't be restored once you've done this, there's no way you're going to restore that backup full stop.
Whether you want to go thru the hassle of having a fresh start to see if the backup works or not (given it doesn't work with your current setup), is up to you. Obviously in the time it takes to go back to a 'clean' setup, you could be well on the way to installing everything from scratch (apps, restoring contacts/calendar from Google & so on) again.
As I've said, you have to make that decision. But if your backup is bad (as it appears to be), nothing is going to bring it back/make it restore OK. There is no magic fix if what I've suggested doesn't work (Unless someone else reading this thread has another idea).

Hey buddy, I'm back. It has been a sad and painful day. I am still exactly where I was 6 hours ago. I WANT MY CONTACTS AND APPS BACK

Bricked, please help [imei code]

After my phone started to get slow, i thought it was a good idea to flash a new rom on it. My first pic was the MIUI roms because those always worked well on my desire. After the rom was flashed i lost connection to my network and i saw that this was a issue that some other people have as well. I tried to do a nandroid restore but even then i still have no connection. I have no idea what to now, please if someone knows anything i would really appreciate it.
Here's how it all went:
1. Flashed MIUI
2. Lost connection
3. Flashed Cyanogen, i thought it was a ROM issue
4. Restored nandroid
5. Back to stock now
Now i'm back where i began, but still without connectivity. I see a few thread about the ESF files, but i'm missing a few files (did a full reset i MIUI).
What are my options now? Am i screwed?
Thanks.

did you try flashing the latest f/w-s i.e., XXEMG4 or later?
The fact that you said *esf* is alone enough to infer you didn't read properly. Is your imei intact ? If not Check for efs backups or else service centre .

I downloaded the rom off of the official MIUI site and it said nothing about EFS. It's not untill i came back to XDA when i first heard about it. It's just a simple typo, i know what the files are.
My phone says i have the "standard" corrupt IMEI; 6400 something.
Download an EMG based official stock rom from sammobile, flash it with odin on your pc.
If that doesn't enable your imei to be read then you need a service centre.

No, they will work it out for themselves. There is a thread in general, stickies on how to return to full stock.

[Q] Stuck on Yellow Sprint Screen can not fix with ODIN

I was rooted on a stock rom with n9005 CWM for kitkat. I tried flashing the deodexed version for wifi tether. I didnt realize i needed odexed instead. now i am stuck on the sprint screen upon reboot. i tried using odin to reflash that rom again as well as a Cf auto root. both flashed but still stuck on the same screen upon reboot. I then tried to wipe and clear all data and cashe as well as factory reset from recovery mode. still the same issue. ANY help will be appreciated.
NOTE: i looked for 3 days for help on XDA as well as other sites and can not find anything specific to my case, or anything that will work. Please if you offer help include links as i have searched for everything i could think of.

First, let's diagnose what's wrong, to see what you need to do to fix it.
Flashing a DeOdex Mod onto an Odex ROM.
This will mess up your system files. What you'll most-likely get is a bootloop (or stuck at startup, which is where you're at). When this happens, you should be able to still access Recovery and Download Modes. This is good news! This means you have many options to fix your phone.
Possible solutions for your problem.
Restore a backup in Recovery.
The first rule when flashing ROMs/Mods is that you read and understand the thread first.
A close second rule is to make a backup before flashing anything.
I doubt that you have a backup, since that would've been the first thing you would've tried. That's ok, we just have to do a little more work to get your phone fixed.
Reflash the custom ROM in Recovery
This doesn't apply to you too much, because you weren't running a custom ROM, just a rooted stock ROM, but I think it's good for others who might have a similar problem. If you had a bootloop issue, you can always re-flash the ROM in recovery. I'd just recommend wiping data, cache, dalvik cache, and system prior to flashing the ROM.
Reflash the Stock ROM in ODIN.
This is the last-case scenario. I'd go to this thread that micmars wrote and follow his instructions very carefully. Doing this should get your phone back to stock. Then I'd re-do the rooting like you did originally (make sure you're using the kit-kat instructions.
Once you get your phone back and running (and rooted), the first thing I'd recommend is to create a nandroid backup in recovery. This will be your life-saver whenever something gets messed up.
Hope this helps!
EDIT:
I figured that I should give you a reason why the CFAutoRoot didn't work for you:
CF Auto Root only modifies certain files. It's not flashing an entire rooted ROM onto your phone, it's just selectively modifying/replacing files so that you have root access. So, when the system is messed up due to flashing a incompatible Mod, CF Auto Root is not likely to fix those issues. Only flashing a stock Rom, like DarkManX4lf suggested.

I'm able to download it at home (currently at 10%). I'll upload it to Dropbox when it's done and PM you the link.

My upload speed is atrocious, so it might be a few hours (it's a large file!)
How did the OP make out? Let us know.

it stuck on the yellow screen for like 3 minutes and i was sad.... than it worked! THANKS SO MUCH!!!! it all worked greatly. i appreciate everyones help!
Yeah. On a full stock Odin flash, things need a little longer to initialize and set up at the first boot. Even after you boot up completely, it takes awhile for everything to finish and settle down.
