Hello everyone, i hope you could help me.
When my smartphone get a little bit hot cause i play with mobile data or even if i dont play, my connection doesn't work, it keep the H+ stucked. What is the problem caused by? Is it caused by my rom? I think not, because i got this problem with my old rom (CM 10.1.3 stable) and with this new one too ( Pound rom 4.4).. Should I open the smartphone and clean inside to solve this problem? I don't know what to do because it's very annoying.
Btw, this problem happens 1/2 per day.

Try another modem ... this should solve h+ stuck
What games you play ... games like asphalt 8 san andreas and others uses a lot of power and this makes overheating issues
I don't even know ehat modem is lol.. Anyway i'll give out a look! I play games such Clash of Clans

I've a problem with my SGSII.
I've tried a lot different roms like CM7, CheckRom, Oxygen, miui to find the perfect rom to fix my battery usage(my phone usally last for MAX 1 day, even on low usage. (Is this normal??, my friend get like 5 days with his SGSII)
Anyway, on pretty much all of the ROMs above I've occurred a problem with my internet connection - When my phone is idle for a while I looser internet connection and then I have to restart my phone to fix it.
Anyone with similar problem?
Is my phone defect?
Any way to fix this?

the problem with the internet connection is because of the signal is not resetting itself. You can use signalreset (market) app as a solution otherwise flash a stock firmware ROM from sammobile and see whether the problem is solved!
My Wi Fi stops working the same way too. All I do is that I reconnect WiFi from the notification bar.

I will check out Signalreset asap, however if it just en/disable flightmode I am not sure if it helps. Because when it happened I always try en/disable flightmode, without luck - I have to restart to make it work :-/
Soo... it's a generel failure in some deeper laying hard- or software, that's not dependent of the generel software-version.
I'm starting to hate my phone, as it is loosing connection again and again, but only after updating to KI8_NEE. There has not been ANY problems with KI3_NEE, which worked perfectly and rocksolid - and solved the same problem from the previous versions... KI8 may be smoother, but i prefer stability over this generel failure (there's a lot of generel faults, not just lost data-connection).
If that the case, i'm going to smash this phone, or put KI3 back on it... i have been so happy with it, but after upgrading to KI8 - i'm starting to develop a hate-relationship with it...
My old HTC might be slow - but it is dead-on stable...
After trying the signalreset it still doenst work properly.
Any suggestions?

What baseband are you on?
I'm on XWKI1 on AT&T in south Florida and my connection is rock solid now.
That was not the case when I first got the phone with the factory ROM and baseband.

5 days? really? what rom & kernel he using ? using extended battery too?
you using any apps to help monitor battery life like juice defender? They can also cause problems with internet sometimes

Yah 5 days.
He doesnt use the extended battery, just the standard. He's on CM7 and Cm7's kernel.

No I dont, I've tried Juice Defender but it didnt help my battery life so I uninstalled it..
I've tried a few days with the stock unrooted and the problem didnt occur, however the internet was still extremely slow, even when I had full signal.
Is there an application to boost signal/speed and/or fix problems?
Hi all, Im having a huge problem using the gps on my Phone.
I gets the signal from the gps if I don't move. When ever I start go drive faster then 30 km/h it looses the signal and usually never return. I tryed to clear my Google Maps cache, but it works only for a short part of time.
Ive install the gps fix, but it didnt helped a bit.
Im using now the newest rom (7.1 I belive)
I didn't get these problems so ofthen when being on 7.0.

And that is your probable problem test by wiping phone and install stock rom .

My device just got alive, On the way to Warsaw the gps just by it self started to work, and to get the most fun, it didn't loose the signal even on one sec.. in the 1 km tunnel on the start in my home town(Where I previously couldn't get a signal for few seconds)...
I can understand very bad weather, but today there has been all day the same weather conditions(getting slightly worst in the end)....
Can someone tell me that is the problem ?
GPS is a very important utility in my phone, as I'm always using it where ever I am.

I recently updated my phone to nightmare v2 rom from wanam v7 and have been experiencing heating issues since moving to 4.2.2. I never had this issue on 4.1.2. Battery is still cold or normal tempreture but heat is coming from behind sim and sd card.
Has anyone else experienced this
Could this be hardware issue or just rom related.

You could try another 4.2.2 rom and see? if its still hot go back to 4.1.2. *If its not hot then, its definitely not hardware
I am going through the same situation, with a ROM in specific, and I am desepcionado for the purpose of work and great ROM but not to use it for a long time because they are just 4:0, and fry an egg in the skeleton.
Already changed the rom, and everything works good

it gets hot in the same place on playing games or using data network for a long time. that's normal in any phone and that's not any hardware problem as already mentioned above. try the above suggestion and report back. good luck :good:
I use this rom too, and have no problem.
Try to re flash, now is there 2.1

My Samsung Galaxy SII Heats up a lot in my pocket and gets switched off automatically. It Heats up too much. If any one of you have expierienced such issue then please give your suggestions !
My phone goes up to 50C, but never turned off tho.
You can try installing KH3 modem, as I saw some people said it fixed their overheat problem. I just installed it now and will see how it goes.

Look at whats running in the background. bbs will help aswell. Modem shouldnt really make much difference.
Heating issue
Its a common issue amonf S2 i9100..i guess its one of many issues discussed over this forum..
1. It can happen because of a Kernel that u have installed that is not going with ur ROM.
2. It could be due to some app that is sucking up your battery and intun causing heating in ur processor..i mean some game..weather widget..Etc..
I would suggest that u can browse thru this forum for the solutions that fit u best..
i think its a kernel or some latest App that u have installed latest..as problem 4 sure..:angel:
I am having S2 with ASNET MIUI V5 3.7.19 now and b4 tried several ROMS..When ever this heating stuff happened it was only when i played heavy games or while on wifi or data usage..dat too heating was very minimal..battery temp never crossed 44 degree Celsius..
please chk on the latest apps or widgets that are running in background in ur mobile..it ll probably help u in identifying the issue..

About 90c will kill it mine runs at 60c quite a bit.
Mostly it is the Media scanner issue of heat up. The major culprit of jb roms. I am too fed up of this media scanner.
4.2.2 has been reported to have it resolved. Still ages away for our s2.
Well My S2 does the same, I think its the only drawback of samsung galaxy s2 i9100
Flash media scaner fix. Mine heats up from what I do with it. For me heat is normal.

Downloading many roms. Dont sit at 60c all the time. Some games push it too. Normal running its at 20-30c

I have had my Redmi note 4 for just over a year now and about 2 weeks ago my phone was very hot on the top area of the screen. I downloaded simple System monitor and my cpu temp was around 80 degrees Celsius. I also noticed on the app it shows my phones was constantly spiking to 100% disk writing. So I did a hard reset and restored my phone from a backup and it was fine for about a week now its overheating again with the same disk writing issue. I also noticed in the last few weeks I have been getting a lot of dropped calls on either of the dual Sims no matter how good or bad my signal was.
Any assistance will be appreciated.

Which ROM are you using and which Apps are using most battery/CPU?
Maybe you should also install and run an antivirus app on your phone

I am running android version 6.0 and Miui 9.6
I have booted the phone in safe mode and it still overheats so it doesn't seem to be an app causing the issue. I also installed Avg and it didn't find any problems. The cpu usage is low when the problem occurs, the issue is that it has constant disk writing spikes which I assume is the main problem, but there is no way to see what it is writing.
Hi Sekzi, I am having the same issue as you are, in fact, I wasn't sure where to look for the problem tbh, after reading your post I checked and It is doing the exact same thing. I have the Mi Note 4 Redmi and I removed the SD card just in case, no change! Was about to look for a custom ROM to install but I would rather wait for Miui official 10 release hoping that would solve the issue. Please share any updates you might have, thanks!

Clean flash? If yes then combine with Franco kernel
Install greenify, Xposed framework modules like coolify, amplify
