Okay so to update to the new baseband, I installed the official 2.3.3 ROM. Then I rooted it succesfuly. Now I want to install a recovery, but it just refuses to install it via ROM Manager! It just says "An error has occured when flashing your recovery". If I click on Boot into Recovery, it just hard resets by phone.
How do I proceed? I want to install a different ROM.
Is your version of rom manager the latest? What version of cwm do you have? Are you sure you got it rooted? Superoneclick is the only easy way.

hey guuys i have International Gt-I9300 4.1.2 and i Rooted and did a Nandroid backup then flashed A custom rom ..
After a while i Restored my Nandroid backup an used (triangle away) to return status to Normal then removed Root
now when i press Update it tells " the latest updates are already installed"
NOTE: REMOVED ROOT and Status is NORMAL
Do i have a problem updating or i just have to wait for my turn to get OTA updates even my sister's S3 got the 4.3 update ???
i noticed that CWM recovery is on my mobile but i dont open it because it turns the mobile to Modified again !! IS that an associated problem or what ??????????
You have to flash a stock rom via Odin to get back to fully non rooted status....

Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/ and find out the firmware for your phone, download it and flash it through odin..
It appears that CWM cannot be retained in the newest official update. (just an assumption) Some people reported to have successfully installed CWM thru odin but when they go to recovery, they were back to stock. What seems to be the issue here? Is there any work around?
Maybe the phone is reflashing stock recovery by itself during boot.
I don't know if it will work, but I usually root my phone first and then I install CWM via terminal emulator, using dd as root:
# dd if=/sdcard0/recovery of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
Try a new update to the cwm and after that flash a custom rom such as JaspHD or PONLEWA after that your query might be solved...

Working
i installed on latest and its working
Recently i got a softwre update(43.68 Mb) on my stock rooted Galaxy S Duos s7562. after I have downloaded the update it asked to update now or later.. when accepted to install now, It swittched off and opened in cwm recovery and said failed to verify signature of file.. istallation aborted.
-in which I disabled signature verification.. but after a few sec "signature check disabled" msg pops up..
does it mean I can flash the update file manually after moving it from ( /cache/ ) to my sdcard?? or it will cause any problem???
help guys!
The ota wont install because you have a custom recovery. Try to flash a stock recovery back and take the ota again.

That I can figure but signature check is disabled then why not installing.. and Can I just take the downloaded OTA update from /cache/ and install it in recovery?
I think you can, but if you can download the ota from xda and then move the zip over to the sd card that would be best. Also, I think the zip verification has to do with md5 hashes, and not with whether or not the ota will install. It may also be failing because of your modified system.

You could always stick the OTA on your hard drive from /cache/ and use adb sideload <file>

did you use odin for flashing stock? flash stock firmware
Yes I did switched to stock Rom through Odin and the phone is working but software update downloads but when the time comes for installation it goes into bootmode and says installation aborted. Could you pls tell me that if I am using a custom Rom that is installed by philz recovery "install zip from ext card " then how to switch back to stock Rom using Odin.
