I have unloked bootloader (sony's method) and ics 4.0.3.
I want to update to ics 4.0.4 (rom for Greece , not the generic) , but pc companion tells me that i have modified rom and cannot update.
Is there any way to get the latest official update 4.0.4 for my country ?
Re-lock the bootloader!
flash this with flashtool
http://www.mediafire.com/?g1b5j712ajx4yjd
you can re-unlock the bootloader again after the update (I did so several times)
p.s. i used the official SE method to unlock the bootloader
Will try. Thanks.
Worked !!!
I installed official 4.0.4 with sus and then rooted the phone.
Feels fast , faster than custom roms.
next time, please dont open up a new thread for this. a lot of people with the same problem as yours have been answered. just a friendly reminder. this is a development forum.
Hi all
Iam having a sola
Os:GB
Build number : 6.0.b.3.184
kernel version : 2.6.35.7+ [email protected]#1
1st i unlocked the bootloader the official way from sony website
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
2nd i rooted the sola following by downloading the kernel from this thread
kernel-sola-cile381.elf
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897908
using fastboot i have rooted it
It was all successful
Now i want to upgrade it to ICS using PC companion
I have the following doubt please help me hope i explained it clearly
All i found is relocking the bootloader can be able to update from PC companion directly but with my above kernel is it possible to relock using flashtool and the 70kb file (Xperia_Sola_MT27i_Relock_Bootloader.ftf )(http://www.mediafire.com/?1vy473zccyf98sk)Or by doing so will brick my phone???
I got this doubt because i saw people posting that by using custom kernel and relocking may brick the phone..Like to know anyone tried updating to ICS from this kernel(kernel-sola-cile381.elf) or could some one tell me if it is stock kernel or custom one
Hi everyone. Am new to this and am looking for a step by step guide.
I want to have a better performance from my mobile device because it gets really slow and it freezes a lot.
I have unlocked the bootloader and I want to root my mobile, how can I do that? Also, what is the most stable and up to date ROM for my device?
My model number
MT72i
Android version
4.0.4
Build number
6.1.1.B.1.54
What I have:
Sony Xperia XA Ultra
Model F3213
Android Version: 7.0 (Nougat)
Baseband: MOLY.LR11.W1603.MD.TC9.SP.V31.T1, 2017/05/10 18:31
Kernel: 3.18.35+
Build Number: 36.1.A.0.182
Problem/Questions
Too often, the phone is locking up completely where it will not respond to anything and I have to hold down Power and Vol UP + Down to force it to reboot. I find it odd as I've never had an unrooted phone do that to me before.
In anycase, I always try to root my android phones and I have plenty of experience doing it so don't believe you'll consider me a noob...
I was reading through [F32xx][Guide][N] How to root your Xperia XA Ultra (as noob friendly as possible) and it mentions that in order to do whatever a Universal (Dirtycow-based) TA Backup v2 is before I root the phone. but in order to do it, I have to downgrade to Marshmallow (ver 6.0).
Ok so I couldn't find a guide on how to do that let alone finding the firmware files for my phone in my region that is my variant.
Questions:
1) Is there a US Region version of Marshmallow for model 3215 that is downloadable somewhere? If not, I found other regions of the same phone model number (3215) than the US. (i.e. Latin America)---Could I use that without any issues?
2) Is there something specific that I can do for anyone else here with my particular phone version that may benefit you or the development of this phone before I "ruin it" with a root?
3) What is a TA Backup and why would I care to save it?
Thanks,
DrkImagination

same here UI often suddenly frosted
Hello,
i had a Xperia z5 Compact from my dad which was an 501SO in Android 6.0 but it had some issues so i thought it may would help to flash it with flashtool on firmware:
Generic Global 32.3.A.0.376 which is Android 7
After flashing Sim was not working i think its because of the missing IMEI now.
Now i wanted to root it for restoring my IMEI.
First of all i wanted to unlock the Bootloader but my Menu shows that its not Unlockable...
Because of this i wanted to use maybe some tool like Iovyroot but i dont understand the tool or its not running.
If i am running the adb.exe a console just runns through?
Currently the phone is running on the Android 7 Generic Global 32.3.A.0.376 firmware.
How can i root it now? Do i need to flash it back to Android 6 or 5 for an temporary root?
