Hello,
My Glaxy Note 3 is having hard times these days. I get black screen after exiting any application. And when the black screen appears, the phone is not responding for couple of seconds. Even the left and right sensor kes are not responding.. Also the home screen stops responding and crashes.
I can only say that everything started after i updated to kitkat.. Since hen my phone is slower..

Please help me solve my problem because the performance of my note is ridiculous..

Wrong forum bro (this is a Sprint forum, and we have the N900X variant, not the N9000X). But, I would highly recommend a refresh of your OS. You have some outstanding roms from which to choose, both KitKat and Jellybean. I happen to know how awesome they are, inasmuch as I've been drooling over them the last few nights being filled with envy.

well i bought my gs3 at june2012. but now sometimes after 20 - 30 unlocks, it can be more or less, it happens randomly phone screen go whole blue for 1 second and then it show lock screen. does anyone know what is this?every thing else is perfect. this started showing a 2-3 weeks ago, firm is I9300XXELKC stock, this was also happening on 4.1.1. jb. thanks

Happens to me sometimes, haven't figured it out. Just thought it was one of those amoled things.

it also happens to me only when i unlocking with power button, i didnt noticed this when unlocking with home button because i rarely unlock with home button. Its a lot easier for me when I know I'm not the only one with this problem, and when i know that this isn't big deal. but i would like to know if there is a fix or what for this because it started to showing 3 weeks backwards suddenly, and it was happened to me today 2 times and this started to annoying me a little.
I noticed this twice today. Recently upgraded my unlocked 16gb gt i9300 model s3 to the 4.1.2 XXELLA update. Are you all on similar builds? Perhaps a jelly bean bug. Couldn't seem to replicate the problem. Will keep an eye out for it. Hope someone figures out why it's happening.
Once thing I do notice is when I have power saving on and I unlock, after about 2-3 seconds on the lock screen there's a slight flicker. Does anyone else get this? Could all be related to power saver perhaps?

I have the same issue since I flashed a ROM based on XXELLA, I've never noticed this issue before so I guess it's XXELLA-related.
Never had this problem for about 1 year. I droped the phone and cracked the screen. I had a new one, and after that the blue screen.

Have the exact same thing. And it happens randomly can't seem to replicate it. 4.1.2 XXELL4 and also after i got it back from repairs.
I started to think that this bug is similar to Sudden Death, but now it is "attacking" your AMOLED screen..... hmmmm...
My I9305 does it too, it's quite rare though. Might happen once every 3 weeks or so, and I use my phone a lot. As it's so few and far between I haven't been bothered by it.

i've searched the net for help and didn't find anything similar.
my girlfriend and I both using galaxy S3 9300 4.1.2 bought in June.
In the last few week both of us suddenly saw that the phone turns off while it idle.
In most of the cases the solution was turn it back on, but sometimes it didn't help and we had to take the battery off and back on.
today I noticed for the first time that the phone doesn't really off- since the notification led still flashes.
I'm using apex launcher she use TW.
any idea anyone?

I am having the same problems since last week. Sometimes it also freezes in applications. The GUI thread is then still running because I can see animations from loading dialogs and the wifi indicator also blinks. When this freeze occurs, the device won't react on button presses (except very long press on power button to reboot). Also the device is not going into standby mode (screen off) after 30 seconds.
Maybe this is a side effect of the last update? I am running build version JZO54K.I9300XXELLA (Dutch intl version).
Edit: when it's stuck also the battery is drained very fast.
you might be right and maybe there is a connection between last update and all that bugs suddenly appears.
I update through odin to the newest firmware:
I9300XXEMB1 I9300OXAEMB1 I9300XXMB1 BTU

No idea to be honest, are they both stock phones? Rooted? Could even be something inane like a recent app update that isn't working properly, could be almost anything

both unrooted, both running stock rom.
anyway if so, i guess you wont recommend to back all my app, right?
I would back then up, system data is most likely the cause, so my advice would be just restore app data only where necessary and important

My bro Bought At&t S3 on ebay sent it to me in India
What happened is he unlocked it and sent me.
I was using it and was having battery issues so one of my friends told me to root my fone
i did it . It worked fine. I tried to put Resurrection Remix ROM on it .
It went fine put custom installationa nd atlast reboot .
Now it is stuck on BLACK SCREEN. Im actually an iOS convert. Its kind a rough for me to figure out what had happened to it

You flashed an international i9300 Rom on to your AT&T 9300, they are different phones, and you are in the wrong forum
I've been having some problems with my 3 months old galaxy s3....
1.Sometimes after unlocking screen flashes a blue light for less than one second
2.After opening contacts details and go back screen goes black for a little bit
3.Random freezes sometimes but this happens almost to everyone so its not a big deal
Is there any fix ?

hi all got a new note 3 from a guy on ebay power seller, the phones up and running but it keeps vibrating and either bringing up a menu screen or bringing up search screen and not just once sometimes 3 4 times in a row , if i do something and return to home screen then it does it again any help as i love the phone

Try returning the phone to completely stock using the official Samsung files and odin. Look in the development section. If it keeps doing it after it may be a hard rive issue.

I was using my phone for the past two weeks with no problem, all of a sudden today it would not unlock, I held down the power button then a screen with all these different colours came up
It eventually went away and the screen went black again
Now nothing works it ill not power on and LED wont come on when charging
Can the phone have been hard bricked after 2 weeks of installing the custom rom? :/

Well, normally if you did not touch any deeper thing in your ROM you should have no problem if you have been using it for as much time. Anyway this question should be done in the above thread, so I will move it there so you can get a better reply from people using the same device or even the same ROM than you.

Try usb jig to force download mode, if that doesn't work then it sounds like a brick -sorry.

I just dont understand how it could be bricked after being perfectly fine for 2 weeks and i had been using it like 5 minutes before no problem :/
Blame the emmc chip, it is very fragile and can go pop at any moment.
Try reading the dead boot recovery thread in general forum.
