Hi all, I'm new here, but not a newbie. In a WIP for create a CWM for Galaxy Music GT-S6010 I doing a wrong operation.
First at all I've dumped the recovery of my phone and used CWM builder online, but the recovery didn't work.
I have founded a recovery of another smartphone that I think has similar hardware, the GT-S5310.
I have flashed the CWM recovery of this other phone and the result is:
1) The CWM work. It seems to work well. :laugh:
2) The touch screen behavior is bad. Is incorrect and inverted. In some point when touch with one finger the result give two touch. :crying:
I think that the problem is software not hardware, because with bluetooth mouse and keyboard the phone work well.
I have already tried many times, in this order:
1) restore the original recovery;
2) flash the stock firmware;
3) flash the CWM, doing a clean cache, format /sysem, format /cache, clean dalvik cache;
But not solved. I also have doing an hard searching in the web but not find a solution.
My question is: there is a developer that know how reset the touch input?
Somebody can tell me the name of a developer that I can contact.
I think that it is a beautiful challenge for a developer to investigate on the problem and to find the solution.
I hope in XDA developers!

Hi,
I need advice. I'm learning development for android. I tried to create my first ROM, I erased some system applications, I added a new applications, I have added DSP manager, changed bootanimation and changed the name of the ROM in the "build.prop" and added some tweaks. I flashed my rom via recovery (I did all 3 wipes) and my phone will not start. Phone freezes on bootanimation. I got logcat and I think that the error will be this line:

Before that applied this, my gps lock and Instantly after lost satellites, also if satellites was seen, not locked
SO:
Root required
Know how set permissions
Download this -> http://derekgordon.com/gps-files/agps.patch.lg.build.v3.1.zip
Put these files into system/etc and set permissions to rw-r-r
Then tap 3845#*760# (or 765 768 769, what kind of your phone) into dialer
Go to ---> GPS Test > Protocol Setting > User Plane Setting > SLP Setting > choose LGE SUPL
Reboot and test

I receive an error "Connection problem or invalid MMI code" after entering the string into dialer...but then...I don't have cell reception in my home. I suppose that could have something to do with it....?
EDIT: Found the error...within the string "3845#*760#", the last three digits reference the model # of the phone. In my case, 760 is replaced with 769. Hope this lessens any confusion for others who try. The tweak works very well!
Could you be more precise ? What files to copy ? There are 2 folders : META-INF that has 6 subfolders ..and System with 2 files in it. Those 2 files have to be copied in /etc ? I copied them and set the GPS settings but I have 0 signal

Everything was set,permissions + rebooted. Its not even detecting satellites ...
Edit: i changed from lge to google and it worked perfectly
If you downloaded patch Google you choose Google server, otherwise lge

I'm rooted, on CM10.1 with p769(760 bl)
and I downloaded 3.1 no ssl and extracted the gps.conf file to system/etc, set permissions and reboot
Entered 3845#*769# and also tried 3845#*760#
but both still get 'connection problem or invalid mmi code'
Is this known to work for anyone on CM10.1? or am I missing something?
edit: I didn't get to the option where I can do the GPS test. what am i doing wrong? I have followed everything in OP
The cm not have hidden menu (3845#*....) ,you need to download 3.1 google no ssl, and that's all

A friend of mine has a leo with European stock rom (it has never been modded). This morning, after a reboot, the screen remains blank (without logo htc) and does not emit the startup sound, vibrate only. What can it be? The display? The motherboard? Or what? If I send it in bootloader you see very well. Should I try a hard reset? Appearance tips before you buy a display or other spare parts.

Try to fllash it with stock rom (here are the links http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283). If it does not work - send it to workshop.
I would take a guess at it being an issue with nand memory blocks.
1st thing I do in these situations is first remove sd card & reboot then second remove sim & reboot then third check battery pins are correctly aligned & clean (middle pin is easily bent out of contact on HD2) thus ruling out very simple issues.
Reflash of a ROM is worth a try as is trying a task 29 & ROM flash of original or perhaps a HSPL & then a custom WM ROM if you want to be persistent in trying to get something to work.
Maybe worth taking a photo of your bootloader as sometimes data here or lack of it can give further clues to possible issue.

Backup first!!

If you come from CM based ROM:
Wipe data and factory reset
Wipe dalvik cache
Format system

NOTE: If you are on stock JB you can flash this ROM as an update (without wipe data), but keep in mind that you'll loose any system customization.

I tried to do it myself with the help of the kitchen, the instructions that you gave me, but there are many difficulties with installing and running it from under Windows.
And I'm too lazy to put Linux now.
You can not add tweaks, init.d, busybox and deodex.
Just repack the firmware in the zip to flash through recovery.
Would enjoy your firmware 20I if it worked with a custom kernel.

How to flash zip file without ClockWorkMod (opened BL)? Which method? Is it possible? It is not possible, I think...
Is it possible to have cwm on locked bl, but it's impossible to install custom rom/kernel... However flashing tweaks works fine. ..

I got a little problem. After installing v20i i got soft update, after downloading phone reboot to Clockwork Recovery and then again and again. It cant boot a system just a recovery. Any ideas how to fix it?

Although it is not a "custom ROM", but it's true.
This modified ROM, not refreshable/updatable via "FOTA"!!!
At least that's how I know...

you need to restore your device via LGMobile Support Tool...
put the phone in "software update" and flash KDZ file, if you have one, using this method, or use the repair option..

I tested the rom and I love it!But why there isn't lockscreen and why when I press vol - and + the music panel doesn't show?Thanks if you help me and sorry for my bad english
Because of changed density . LG Lockscreen doesnt look good in it. When u press vol plus and minus at once, qmemo should launch.

Whenever I get a call it automatically rejects it and opens the STK app with the sms response, I tried deleting STK.apk and it still happens, any solutions>?

i didnt notice this error when i use it ... check your operator setttings ... or did you do hard reset after flash ?

flash gordon is a wonderful app that allow you to flash zip(converting) with a locked bootloader and without a recovery:laugh:
