[Q] "kernel is not seandroid enforcing set warranty bit kernel" bootloop. - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I cannot flash CM11. I get the "kernel is not seandroid enforcing set warranty bit kernel" bootloop.
I am using the 4.4 nab stock bootloader, freeza's stockish NABD deodexed, and the TWRP 4.4 for the NAB(D) leak.
I have tried the latest Philz Touch recovery as well.
I am always able to use Odin to flash TWRP back, and restore from my backup.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

[Q] ClockworkMod v5.8.1.8 won't stay

I'm curious if anyone else is or has experienced issues with ClockworkMod Recovery 5.8.1.8?
When I boot to recovery I see, CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4
I've flashed CWM 5.8.1.8 and then I see the version change but, if I reboot the phone or reboot recovery it reverts back to v5.5.0.4....
Any tips, tricks, or ideas?

hhmm..., Actually as I stated I'm using CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4...
While it's an assumption, CWM stands for ClockWorkMod?

I don't believe this is Rom Manager.

READ WHAT I'M WRITING. Are you using rom manager to flash cwm? Jeez...

No. Short answer, No.
Long answer, No, I just posted a picture of what i'm using. (did you see it?)
I'm rebooting into ClockworkMod recovery.
I then select install zip from sdcard
I then select choose zip from internal sdcard
and select the appropriate .zip file.
then recovery reboots into v5.8.1.8.
I'm not trying to use any app within the running OS to flash the newer version.
Is that clearer?

Okay that helps me out now that you finally answered my question, so you're trying to flash a newer version of cwm from the older version of it? Or are you flashing a rom too, I never worry about flashing cwm as all roms/kernels have a ones packaged in I feel it's unnecessary

yep, that's all I'm trying to do.
I've done the same thing to upgrade CWM on my old Atrix. So I'm not sure why it isn't working this time... Can't imagine the process would have changed.
I moved the .zip file to the external sd card and flashed it but that still didnt work. it didn't work when i tried to flash it with odin either.

Personally I would just leave it it isn't a huge deal, or flash a kernel that has a newer version

This isn't an Atrix and recovery on the GS2 is not like any other phone. You can flash that zip all day long its not going to do a thing.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that cwm is baked into the kernel. Without changing to a kernel with the new CWM, it will always come back to whatever the kernel you are running has baked into it.

Absolutely correct. Its not as simple as a good old recovery.img anymore.

Use the Siyah kernel and it has the touch clockworkmod recovery baked in. The others above are correct, it is something that has to be changed in the kernel. When the first touch recovery came out I too tried it the way you did by flashing it in regular cwm. Then you will see and can use it. BUT it does not stick because it has to he added into tue kernel.

Is the touch version really all that?? I've been wanting to try it but have been too lazy about asking AJ to build a new kernel with it (I'm on his version of ATTs rom)..

It can he used the same way basically with using the buttons for volume +/- and power to select. Or clicking on whatever option, or sliding your finger up or down to the selections and double tapping to select. It is kind of a cool featute bit not that big of a deal. I am using my own personal made version that is basically the same as hos rom and you can use the siyah kernel that came/comes with it and it has the touch version of cwm so you can try it out. I dont usually spend much time while in cwm except to flash things. So it is not a huge deal or deal breaker either way.

can you not select flash recovery on devil recovery? It is a separate option to flash recovery/kernel rather than another zip.

[ROM][NAB][KitKat-4.4.2]Bonsai_Stable_1.0.0 - 04.09.2014
I have installed this rom as per instructions but after installation, the rom will not boot. I have tried 10 times, no luck.
Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know why or if there is a fix?
Please help.
I had this rom as 4.3 and loved it......I WANT IT BACK.
THANKS.
Have you updated to kit Kat? ?? This rom will not boot without the kitkat bootloader. .. you should run the one click nc5 to update and then reroot and install newest twrp or philz and install it then

The rom he wants is NAB-based.
Can use the NAB tar or one-click, and as you noted, proper recovery for TouchWiz Kitkatkiller, and good-to-go.
PhilZ CWM,

TWRP,

Latest for each, flash from PC Odin, PDA slot.

Did you try the full wipe tar? Also are you positive you're on MDK now and you downloaded the mdk tar? And did the md5 match on your download?
These are the most basic things that would prevent your phone from booting.

Problem fixed. I rebooted in recovery after flashing the MDK tar and did a full factory wipe and it booted right up!
Thank you again

If you use that tar, that will put your phone back to factory stock out of the box with the newest software version. If you are looking for the latest version of twrp, just Google and then you can reroot and then put twrp back on. Use Odin to do it all. Hope that helps. Now if you are already rooted, then yes, just find the latest version of twrp and then flash in Odin.
