[Q] Anybody having low storage issues with stock ROM? - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

I've noticed lately that my phone has been reporting low storage issues with the Android 4.1.2 S/W version LGMS76910e Build number JZO54K and Kernel version 3.0.31. I have removed several programs and clear caches regularly. The issue seems to happen while recharging for a while. Recently I got the low storage message signaling 9% available. When I rebooted the storage restored to 11% and the message went away. The problem is, most of my apps are on the App2SD partition of the SD card, and while I know that not all the files are there, it seems odd that I should get this message so frequently without having added anything.
Let me know if anyone else has seen this.

[Q] Is there any way to ignore the internal SD memory in Samsung GT-I9003?

Hi everyone,
First things first, sorry if this was covered somewhere else in the forums, I really didn't find this question anywhere so I "had" to post this.
I got my Samsung GT-I9003 4GB a month ago, and everything was working perfectly until 3 days ago. It starts showing an "Internal SD card unexpectedly removed" error whenever the phone goes standby, then it forces me to terminate processes one after another, and finally it shuts down. I hadn't done any kind of ROM flashing nor rooting the device until the problems arose, so I don't know where the problem comes from.
I've tried to re-flash froyo 2.2.1 in my device, but the problem keeps showing up.
I found in this forums this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088474) covering the possibility of swapping both internal memory and external SD. It works great, but I still had problems with the "external SD card" being "unexpectedly removed"...
It crossed my mind if it was possible to modify the vold.fstab file further to only detect the external SD card as the internal memory and ignore the internal memory, as if it wasn't even on the phone. I don't know if that's even possible (since I don't know much about file systems nor Android), but I'd appreciate your thoughts on the matter.

Was having the exact same problem with a further twist, the issue occured almost every half an hour at office and very rarely at home. Tried a factory reset and also GB update via Kies. Problem was still present, so have given it to samsung service and the service rep informed me that it was most likely a motherboard issue.
Recently one of my friends had the same issue. Samsung service center replaced the motheboard and the issue seems to be resolved.

[Q] Problem with Incoming Texts

Hello, I have looked around the threads for possible solutions and have come up with none. I am currently using Telus Fascinate Galaxy S and currently running the stable CM7 with the Glitch kernel. I'm having troubles recieving text messages; it keeps telling me that there is full memory. The problem is that i have over 12GB of space on my sd card and it says 0.00B of space on the internal storage. I just flashed it and my internet works fine. Every other thread has found the solution in moving apps to the sd card but the difference with me is that I have no apps downloaded yet.. is there a known fix to this?
I had the same problem, did u flash the latest nightly by chance?? #181..
I don't know a fix persay, but if you free up some space in the /datadata, also found in /data/data, partition it will let your msgs come through.

Thanks for the reply, once a flashed the nightly 181 i got my text messages working again, however, any downloads i try to make still send the "free up some space and try again". i cleared all the cache's, moved everything i could to my sd card (which still has plenty of space) and i changed all my settings to install external and unchecked internal storage, if i try download anything from the internet or from the market, nothing works
I have now tried both MIUI and CM7 on my phone, both of them state that there is no internal memory (0.00B). Would there be a problem with the Glitch V13 kernal i'm using or is there a step in the flashing process i missed?
I'm running MIUI/glitch without the above issue. What was your install process?
I got most things working now, what modem are you running though?

[Q] [XXLPB] "low on space" notification but it's actually NOT!

just update the phone ytd to LPB from KK5 but there is a problem which I have looked around XDA and google it for a day and try to fix it with many methods but still fail.
my notification bar keeps on saying "low on space, phone storage space is getting low" but it actually not.
---Space Available---
Internal Storage: 194MB
USB Storage: 1.34GB
SD Card: 3.23GB
Because of the "low" on space, when I install anything from market, it will always say "insufficient phone storage" and prohibit me to install anything. Even I have tried to install other apks not from market, the problem still exists. And also when I want to restore apps from titanium, it will not restore (the restore app bar didnt move forward). Now I cant install any app to my phone.
It can download and install app properly before just after I flash the new beta rom but after a few hours (and some restarts) the above problem appeared and I cant find any solutions with google.
I have tried to wipe cache/dalvik, fix permissions, mount and unmount SD card, delete some apps/destory market links and restore them back, etc.
Anyone using LPB having this simliar issue as well? any ideas to fix it?
help!
I think the best thing to do is ignore the 2000+ posts in other threads dealing with leaked, buggy, unstable ICS ROMs and make a new thread(!)
Please, please, please. Keep it in once place. The number of threads generated by a single ROM is ridiculous.

Vernee Thor - lags, random freezing, probably memory error

Hello
I've been googling for some time but so far I haven't found proper solution.
Since today I have Vernee Thor (MT6753, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage) and I've faced few problems.
The phone freezes randomly or is either having huge lags, like 2-3s. Same thing was happening on a STOCK and updated ROM, now I have ported MIUI (MIUI_8.3_EPIC_ROM_v7.3.23) along with TWRP. It installed properly, at least it seemed to.
After rebooting phone I have message with error: "Internal memory is corrupted. Your data is not safe." (translated, may be slightly different from original in English).
I've tried wiping stuff from memory, reinstalling rom but at the end there is no effect.
I thought about re-partitioning phone memory or checking for badblocks or similar stuff that may cause any errors. What should I do to fix that? I'm running out of ideas and it's sad because I haven't found anyone with similar problem.

Tool to test internal storage?

Updating apps through google playstore causes my rooted phone (Redmi1s) running a customized Cynogenmod 13 to bootloop. I think the internal storage is flaky and is causing updates to start bootlooping. Is there a tool for testing internal storage like disk drive scanning utilities?
When I tried to update the apps one by one, I thought I narrowed it down to a single problem app but when the bootloop issue happened again and I narrowed it down to a common app (Degoo 100Mb) so I think the internal storage could be faulty. I tried disabling xposed modules and uninstalling the xposed framework but it doesn't help.
What could be causing the bootloop problem during updates and does it make sense that the internal storage could be faulty?
edit:
I think the issue is caused by the customized rom not throttling the cpu well enough and the overheating will cause a crash/bootloop while updating many apps at once. Running updates manually on a few apps and fstrim will help avoid the issue but it looks like going back to stock rom is best thing to do.
