I can't find my post from long ago. I have a headset that is for android. Not apple!! One button. The buttons work fine in stock gingerbread. Any other ROM than stock and only headphones work. No buttons no mic. Tried jay's fix but it doesn't even recognize the button presses. Tried changing all sorts tips from users and no avail. It also seems that every question I have posted never gets a reply. I find it very hard to believe that with all sorts of people with this issue not one solution have been posted. I read somewhere about goolge locking down headset after gingerbread but I don't buy it. As using the headset on s3 and note 3 works. Its not the phone as it works in gingerbread.

well.. Samsung might have put in code code that fixes headset buttons because I had an LG Optimus One and when I was trying different ROMS, the buttons worked in gingerbread but not in ICS. it is actually an issue with Android that the OEMs (Samsung, HTC, etc.) fix but Google doesn't.

When I listen to music or talk with the speaker volume is too low!! i try to fix it with Service Mode but i can´t input key because do not work.
When i press the list button to see the Service Menu nothing happend.
PROBLEM NUMBER 2
This problem is with DLNA, i only see the contents camara and no the others folders with de Video AVI for example.
With other cellphone or tablet i can wath evrything!!!
i try with all Share programs! but nothing!

Can you send emails with your gmail app? I can't, and that is sofa king frustrating you can't even imagine. I have no idea what went wrong, but I've tried asking here, and I've done some extreme things to get it working again, but nothing seems to help short of restoring a nandroid from early September; but that only works for a few hours before is back to not sending again, AND I have to update a bunch of apps. Anyone have a solution? What exactly does gmail need to send??? I compose the email and click the send button, then the button goes grey and absolutely NOTHING else happens until I hit another button (except send, since its grey and no longer responsive).

For your first problem. Search the development section and find the thread for miui lithium. In the first post of that thread is the apk for dsp manager. With dsp manager and voodoo sound (via voodoo control app) you can increase your phones speaker volume.

I still haven't figured this out.. Jawbone companion app only lets me change the single press action to battery level, current time, or both. I changed the DialApps setting on MyTalk to Voice Control, but it still doesn't launch Google Now. Any tips? I got a Jawbone Era if that changes things

Are you using Google Now on JB or ICS? Because it won't work properly in this manner on ICS. See #17 at this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30809214&postcount=2

Rom is great. It really runs fast! Instalation was without problem.
I quite often use loudspeaker and I noticed when loudspeaker is on microphone is muted and cannot be unmuted as long as loudspeaker is on.
So there is no posibility of handsfree talk.
I deleted cache/data for Phone and Touchpal dialer, restarted but nothing changed.
So I just wanted to report the possible bug and ask if maybe anyone has idea what still I can do?
Rom is great but I frequently need to use handsfree mode. Right now I can hear, but I can't talk.

It's because of the layout! I guess! Try the fixed version in themes and apps!

nope it does not work there too
I tried the layout fix. Didn't help unfortunately.
If it matters, I instaled JBv2 over Stock ICS .89 ROM
Tried reinstalling JBv2 over first JBv2 instalation.
Imediately after second install i tested it (before restoring Sony backup so it was fully clean install) but still didn't work.
I followed install instruction to the letter (full wipe etc).
Only difference was that in both installs I didnt had to wait 10 min. Maybe just 2-3 mins.
I just realised mic doesnt work on video recording either (stock camera).
I am not the only one having issues with mic. I know for at least one more person.
Does anyone else has this problem?

There is now number of persons having issue with mic (loudspeaker and(or) videorecording).
Maybe this is a bug and not isolated cases?
Since the OTA Kitkat (4.4.2) update of my stock Verizon Galaxy S4 (SCH-i545), when I use the voice-to-text microphone button (Google voice typing) on the stock Samsung keyboard, it does not pause music played by Play Music or Pandora as it used to. I've been through troubleshooting with Samsung and VZW Support, including:
- Clearing cache for S Voice, Google Voice, Samsung Keyboard
- Testing in Safe Mode
- Performing a hard reset of the device
The music pauses for half a second and resumes with the mic active... not cool when listening to music and want to use voice to answer a text message.
VZW last said they want to discuss replacing the phone, but before I go down that rabbit hole, does anyone have any ideas on what to check or change to fix this?
The same thing happened to me. This used to work fine. My guess is it's software related. Replacing the entire phone seems like overkill.
Let's troubleshoot further. I'll keep you updated on anything I try, and obviously if anything fixes it.
EDIT: Found your follow-up thread here. Seems like an update to Google Search was the culprit.

Anyone find a resolution for this? I have same issue on Galaxy S4 I337M (Canada), both stock and custom ROMs using 4.4.2.

Follow that thread; bottom of first page. The problem was an update to Google Search (and thus Google Voice input). Current solution is to downgrade to older version, link in that other thread.

ive use this site before for guides and such but i be leave this is the first time i have posted. So if ive placed this in the wrong place or am going about it the wrong way i apologize and i can change or move to another thread. I just bought me and me wife these new phones they were cheap and had good specs. It is the Blu Studio C 5.5 (android Version 5.0). Haven't really had any issues with the phones yet. Until now my wife does a lot of driving and likes her blue tooth headset so she can be safe and hands free. and ive never seen an issue like this on any phone. On every phone you push the head set button and it activates the voice commend on the the phone to call, search, statues, whatever. This phone will not do that. Double click will redial, and a single click will answer or hang up a call, but that's it. I can not get the voice command or google voice search to activate via the headset and have tried 3 different headsets with same resulted. Ive tried every app in the store and such, trying to do different things.Tthought maybe if i could change the voice commend to activate on a double click or something like that but none of the apps in the store do anything the commands i quoted earlier are the only things i can get the head set to do. Some thoughts or help would be much appreciated. i use to be an IT Tech and have experience with rooting/hackings several deceives/pc/consoles in my past but generally these days things do most of what i want them to, so i just leave them default. I Haven't looked into rooting the device yet its done everything ive needed up until now . I have done all of the above, any and all combinations you can do with one button. Can not in NO way get the headset to activate voice anything. Have since rooted the device and am trying to replace the default dialer..

First i want to say thank you for trying to help. I tried using the free version first before trying to find the paid apk. Follew instrucstion on the app to the letter now im getting the error message "unfortunately Bluetooth share has stopped" . I uninstalled the app and and am now still getting the error. Trying to resolve this issue before moving on because the headset want work at all now.
