So I went to flash to my cell using romrepo.info/wiki/index.php?title=Install_from_Stock_Optimus. I got to step 15, and I realized I forgot to place the ROM in my sd card so I restarted the cellphone so I could place the ROM in my sd card, go to reboot to repeat the process and I get a screen that goes:
Fastboot mode started
gpio_i2c: invalid khz: 0
bl: i2c write error
udc_start()
--suspend--
--reset--
--portchange--
--reset--
--portchange--
fastboot: processing commands
Its a blue screen. I just want to flash this Any guides to get me out of this?

In the above guide replace optimus one recovery with optimus v.

Can someone post a link to a recovery file for my phone? You guys are the best.
I followed the above guide, and used the ROM here prepaidandroid.org/index.php?title=How_to_restore_your_Optimus_V_to_almost_original_condition
It reboots, and the same blue screen is up
My brother flashed the wrong recovery, I tried using the tutorial to fix it using fastboot.exe from windows, but it won't work as it can't find the device. windows sees an android device and I installed the drivers from lg, but it refuses to enumerate in adb shell, so I can't connect to it, any ideas?
okay after fiddleing with it a bit, I got the origional recovery mode restored on it, and when I boot into recovery and plug in usb adb can see the device, I have a stock froyo rom how do I restore from here, or can I reflash clockwork from here?

Not sure what recovery files I need or ROM I need or anything, or how to use adb. I've been looking online for the past 3hrs on this stuff.

this only works if you have some sort of custome recovery, My brother had the wrong one for the optimus v (clockworkmod 3.2.0.0) and it wouldn't install any rom.
I just played around with this page until I got the stock bootloader/recovery back, however I'm not sure if this is what we want, you may want to try flashing one of the custom recoveries listed on the site, now that I have the stock I can re-flash anything.

you need to get into a custom recovery, optimus v press back, volume up and power at the same time to boot into a recovery, if you don't have a recovery at all there maybe an issue. so try and boot into a recovery and let me know what you have.

Nothing happened. Just that blue screen.
Looking in my SD card I noticed I have a backup of the recovery-clockwork-3.2.0.0-vm670 file. This anything helpful?

if you can't get into any recovery your device maybe permintally bricked, but don't take what I say as gospel I'm new at this as well, I'm still looking up more info, in the mean time you need to figure out how to get into recovery, google for key combos, also when using a key combo to get into recovery make sure power is the last button you press in the combo, hold down the others then power (while still holding the other buttons) and release as soon as you see the lg logo, it should go away quickly and after a few seconds of black you'll see the recovery, if the lg logo stays up for a while it's trying to normal boot.

I think if I can get adp to recognize this device I can fix it. Fastboot recognizes this, but adp doesn't. Is there a special adp driver maybe lol?
Got a little bit of progress....did a full system flash using fastbootroot and NVM OMG its fully booted! wow never thought I'd see the homescreen again...now to try to flash it again hahahaha
Now what verison of recovery and rom should I be looking at?

if you want to get aospCMod on your phone, follow this tutorial, this is what I did for my phone works great.
Now my question to you is how did you use fast boot root tool to get back to home screen because I'm still stuck at recovery
okay I finally managed to fix it, I figured out how to use fast boot root and got a custom recovery, from there I could flash other recoveries, which was importaint because even though I could install any rom I wanted it was stuck in a boot loop where it would keep booting into recovery, So i flashed Xionia_CWMA_12518.4_VM_Recovery.zip from here and under advanced it has an option to fix the boot loop, then from there I could flash a rom and it's fixed.
Lot of work fixin' my first bricked phone, but I learned alot.
Update:
New Test build to see if it is finally working. I no longer have V500 to test with so if anyone wants to test and give me feedback.
Well it does not work...file removed
This will flash the persist.img from V510 to V500 which might be the key to get wifi and other hardware working. If it does not work and you need to flash old one back let me know. Make sure you back everything and be prepared to do a restore to stock if all else fails. That is the worst that can happen. Easy thing if it does not work is you flash the old persist.img which I will make if needed. I am downloading the TOT file now for v500 if it is needed...

Apart from Wifi and Bluetooth, is it functioning 100% Can it play games, which CM11 can't?
I flashed this using TWRP (was previously on cm11) and the G pad doesnt boot up. I just stay at that beginning screen where there is an LG logo with the text on the top left corner (secure booting error!, Cause device unlock so boot success!). I've had this message since i flash cm11 though.
Any idea what to do, it doesnt look like i can start-up in TWRP.
Im assuming you did a factory reset first?
yes, i did

It should have not touched your recovery. Did you use the right button combo to the get into the factory reset screen and then keep pressing power button to get into TWRP?
Enter recovery mode do full wipe and try again
To enter recovery follow my guide in general
Through some miracle of button combinations i was able to get back into twrp. Back on CM. Thanks guys!

What kernel and what firmware/ROM are you on and do you have a unlocked bootlooder?
Turn off with volume up +power button try stock kernel if you are on stock firmware also did you wipe cache and dalvik
Sent from my C6833 using XDA Free mobile app
stay calm its not that easy to completly brick your z ultra
search for fastboot and a guide for flashing kernel.
use e.g. the boot.img from your current rom.
enter recovery and flash a rom again!
there are a lot of good step by step guides so its easy.
more infoand another question.
The power button plus volume up trick didnt work, had to let the battery drain out. and i am currently running running pacman 4.4.2. rom and the kernel i flashed was revolutionkernel. after some more reading which i should have done earlier im pretty sure that that kernel was meant for aosp and c11 based roms. i have a different kernel, slimkat this time, i want to flash it and give it a shot but this downloaded as a .zip. how do i do this? the other one was just a .img and that was it. im sorry if these are dumb questions. ive been rooting and putting custom roms on phones for a while but im new to kernels.
red button to power off
you also have a tiny red button to power off the device if you open the lash for the sd card.
flash the same way as you flash a rom.
edit:
i dont think slimkat kernel will work but you never try you never know

where do i find the boot.img of the current rom. ?
so far ive tried two other roms, slimkat, and codename lungo. with three different kernels, revolution, pimped kernel, and slimkat kernel. the farthest i got was to get my phone to boot up but it keeps showing an error msg saying android system has stopped, and i cant get past that. I want the codename lungo rom to work so what kernel do i need to run with that? or is there a way to find the boot.img of that rom?

You need to extract the boot.img that's in the Lungo Rom zip file. Fastboot it using Flashtool or adb push it. Flashtool will be the easiest way. Once you get that on there try to enter recovery BEFORE the Rom boots from power on. If you can't enter recovery then that Rom doesn't have recovery built in. In that case you'll need to get it from somewhere. The Carbon Rom has a boot.img with working dual recovery and you should be able to use that one to boot Lungo as they are all CM based Roms.
Also when stuck with the PHONE ON and need it turned OFF. Press and Hold Volume Up + Power Button until the phone vibrates 3 times. Make sure it's not plugged in or it'll boot again. If holding those buttons doesn't turn it off, you're doing it wrong because it works without fail. Little something Sony put in there. If all else fails, open the cover of the SDCARD/SIMCARD sport and there should be a small Red Button.
Good luck.
Also note that all the roms flash their own kernel when you 9nstall them, use that first, then play when you knpw that thingsmwork. It sounds like you are trying to do too much for your current understanding.

I just had a similar problem,,,I tried to restore to the first nandroid (after rooting 757) but it stops at the Sony logo. If I do 2 restores in a row it than works....weird?
Well I'm an idiot and I accidentally wiped my ROM off my phone. I tried to restart the phone and of course it went into a boot loop until I held down the Vol- button and I got into the bootloader. When I try rebooting into recovery, it'll flash the TWRP splash screen for about a second then go back into a boot loop. I tried using adb to flash CWM but when I do that and try to reboot to recovery, it just flashed the CWM loading screen for a second then goes into a boot loop. It's the worst kind of feeling when you screw something up but don't know exactly what's broken. When I type in "adb devices" from the command prompt, nothing shows up but somehow it still seems like it'll flash the recovery file to the phone. If I try to flash a boot.img it gets stuck though. I'm really not sure what to do at this point. The whole reason I was trying to wipe the phone is because I'm getting ready to sell it. Now I've just got a paper-weight. Anyone out there have any suggestions?
TL;DR - Wiped my ROM and can only boot to bootloader. Can't get into recovery. ADB only kind of works.

Do you have a factory cable?
If so, have you tried flashing the stock firmware with RSD Lite?
If you do have a cable and can't seem to get adb to recognize it with cmd, can you maybe try RSD Lite?
I had accidentally softbricked my phone a couple months ago, and figured out that I could use a factory cable and RSD Lite to flash stock firmware. Phone booted up without a problem and no more brick.

Most likely but ANYTHING is worth a shot if there's a %0.1 chance of working when it comes to a softbrick. Hard bricks are usually when you just give up.
Are you able to flash anything? If so:
Have you tried flashing anything from this thread? Usually flashing stock firmware in general is a surefire way to fix softbrick. (And I mean release, not anything new. Best to revert it to release firmware, then work your way up if possible.)
If not, then obviously the next step is to figure out how to flash something even though recovery has been goof'd. I'll look around a little.
Okay, I got it back to stock, mostly. I followed the instructions from this thread to get back to stock. I didn't install the lock bootloader so I think it may still be unlocked. Using fastboot I was able to flash back to a stock HBOOT then RUU back to stock. The phone is still S-Off with the unlocked bootloader, I think, but at this point I'm not going to mess with it anymore. It boots up into stock the 3.06 image so I'm just gonna leave it at that and sell the thing before I screw anything else up!

Just curious, as with no known method of recovering an unbootable device the risks of bricking are much higher.

Yep. Same situation here, tried flashing the Gohma Rom 1.2 and let it die a few times with no luck. It'd just try to boot again and have the little bubbles fly around endlessly. The hard reset button was no good either. I'm really hoping someone's got something.
