[Q] Root on Cyanogenmod 11 - Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I got a Sony Xperia Z tablet LTE (Model SGP321BR/B), and successfully unlocked and flashed CyanogenMod 11 (11-20140301-NIGHTLY-pollux). Is this possible to root the device? I've seen a couple of tutorials on other threads, but they mostly used 4.3.
Could anyone please put me in the right track?
Another question is about cellular calls (not VoIP). Is this possible, using this tablet and this particular ROM?
Thank you very much for your attention.

[Q] Dualboot

Hello,
I own a Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus and I have a CWM recovery. I recently installed CM11 and there's a huge bug: can't make phone calls. And the development was terminated because of the lack of Broadcom's drivers. :crying: So I was already planning on reinstalling the stock rom, then I did some research online and I found a solution: dual boot! I could have stock rom and CM installed at the same time.
I went searching online and I only found guides/apps/videos for specific devices or for Android and Ubuntu, but I want two android roms. Since my phone isn't very popular, I found out there's no guide for it. :crying:
My question is: is there a way to dual-boot/multi-boot/dual-rom/multi-rom for this device/all android phone in general?
Best regards,
FlyingPancakes

Hello! How to upgrade already rooted g925I to rooted marshmallow?

Hello all,
I have a galaxy s6 g925I on 5.1.1 and am using Xstreo Lite version 2.4 and TWRP version 2.8.7.1.
I am wondering how to upgrade to a rooted version of marshmallow (preferably using xstreolite again). But as I understand it, the process is a bit more complicated than usual. Therefore, my questions is a simple one: how do I so keeping into account all the new steps (updating the boot loader, updating TWRP version etc).
I tried searching but could find nothing that compiles all the information or says it at one place (or I might just be deficient in searching. Apologies in advance!)
Thanks so much.
Cheers!
Hi! Thanks for the reply. But if I do this won't I lose my root? Also will smart switch work with a already rooted phone?

Sony Xperia Tablet Z rooting - original android 4.1.2 version

Hello Guys.
I planning of rooting my Tablet Z (SGP312) still in new-ish condition.
It is not updated still have android 4.1.2 on it (Built 10.1.C.0.370).
I just want to get rid of the sony mess what is on the tablet.
What program you recommend for this android version ?
It is not going to be my first rooting as my Galaxy phone and my LG G pad rooted as well.
I heard a lot problems with the updates (kitkat and the new lollipop) so not planning to update it.
Anybody use here other newer Android version (not from Sony) on this tablet with no Problem ?
Thanks for answer.
(If you can an email me on [email protected] would be really appreciated).

Firmware is very old, but you can root it with DooMLoRD_SuperSU.zip or DooMLoRD_Superuser.zip
Also KK and LP firmware are great, so no reasons for not updating. Also CM is working good on tablet.
Sony Tablet Z what you recommend
Thanks for the quick replies guys.
Keep up the really great work.
In the meantime Azar_98 was so kind to answer to my private message.
He recommended to put the 5.1.1 prerooted firmware onto it.
Just updated the tablet now there is 4.3 on it now (10.4 built) and there is available
the 10.5 built I think it is the Kitkat.
I see you have 5.1.1 prerooted on your tablet.
Is there any how-to on this site what explain the installation of this version ?
thanks again.

Install XZDR recovery and flash prerooted afterwards.

Just a Request

Hello guys.
I just buy this device and update directly to latest Marshmallow before i realise that without have unlock bootloader and custom recovery, you wont be able to root this smartphone anymore.
Though i want to find how to downgrade it myself without thinking to send to Asus Center but seem is not any in this thread and or if there's any, it already too old and have many deadlink.
Hope someone will come it with something. Thanks.
Maybe the thread by Quarx can help you.
[Android 6.0] CyanogenMod 13.0 For PadFone S/X
I've done rooted perfectly. Thanks by the way.

SGP512 upgrade ?

Hello everyone!
Last time I found my old tablet Z2 Lte.
I want to use it with my homeassistant home automation but is very very slow.. running on stock rom 6.0.1.
Parameters of this tablet is not so bad, can you tell where the problem is?
To old rom?
I check te service menu and i find information about permission to unlock bootloader (Bootloader Unlock Allowed : "No").
I'm searching for solution few days but i find conflicting information about flashing newer Android in my case to check performance on new rom.
So far i use Flashtool few times to change branded soft to stock on my xperia phones (ex. XZ1,XZ3, 1) but i dont have any experience with bootloaders etc.
Can someone tell me, it is possible to do something with this tablet?
Any help is welcome. Thanks.
