Did anyone else have the fitbit app preinstalled? I did not. I thought the phone was able to track without a fitbit device but i do not have the preinstalled app, and when i install it, it still wants to read my Fitbit Force
EDIT: I figured out how to swtich to device once i installed it. just gotta go to devices and choose "dont have a fitbit yet"

I know there are several threads for this, but I can't find the solution.
My wife's Eris won't allow her to use the Market app. It Force Closes every time she opens it. Her phone isn't rooted, and is running stock OTA 2.1. I know if it were rooted, I could DL the apk and use a file manager to open it that way, but her's isn't, and I don't want to fool with doing it - her Eris is a bit temperamental, and I know the minute I mess with it, it will explode.
Is there any way, short of doing a reset, and short of rooting her phone, to get a new market app?

If you go into (from home) settings->applications->manage applications, choose "Market" - is there a "clear data" button? If there is, try tapping that.
If there is not, is there a "clear cache" button? Try tapping that.
If there is not, or that doesn't help, is there an "uninstall updates" button? If so, does that help?
Uninstalling the update worked! Thanks!
I''ve asked this question in the Nexus 5 subforum too, but I am actually not sure it has anything to do with the device, more with apps.
Twice in the last days, I have gotten a spoken add on my Nexus 5, running stock 4.4.2.
Message is something like:
"YOU HAVE WON A FREE APP, SHAKE YOUR PHONE NOW TO GET YOUR FREE APP"
Even putting it down or a slight hand tremble will throw me towards the market where I see an app. Nothing shocking, but I have no clue what app is doing this. The first time I think I was working in the Gmail app, second time I was in Kik. Does anyone know how I can track which app is doing this?
So I downloaded Google Fit a week ago thinking it synced with my watch because it shows my activity. However the G Watch does not show up anywhere under connected apps in Google Fit. And to further prove that it does nothing I just did a bunch of activity with just my watch on and my phone sitting still. My watch says I have 1 minute of activity and 50 steps.
This entire time I thought Google Fit was taking info from my watch turns out its just displaying the activity it detects from my phone onto my watch. Thats crap :/. Does anybody know how to have Google Fit use your watch and ignore your phone altogether?
I actually want to know the same thing.
How the F, do you sync the steps etc with other apps (e.g. MS Healtvault which I use to track weight).
Mine didn't appear to be syncing either. It looked like the phone always overrid the watch. To see if it would help, I rebooted my watch. I hadn't rebooted it since updating to the latest version of the Android Wear app and installing Google Fit on my phone (LG G3). Then I tried a little test. At the time, both my the Fit app on my phone and the watch said 1099 steps. I went for a walk, leaving my phone behind, and went far enough that the watch disconnected. When I returned, my watch said 1324 steps. I made sure my phone had a data connection (as far as I can tell, need a data/internet connection for it to sync properly), and waited. A minute or so after the watch reconnected to the phone, both devices displayed 1099 again. Then about another minute later, they both updated to 1325 steps. In my case, it appears to take a little while for the sync to occur.
The watch must keep track of steps and fitness information that it then syncs with the phone. I don't even have Google Fit (or any other fitness app) installed on my phone, yet the watch does keep track of my steps and I get Google notification cards on the watch with my daily totals. This information can only come from the watch.

Yup. Now please do tell how to get this info reliably into other services?
I do a lot of running/cycling, and i still can't find a way to sync the results from my watch to my phone.
Also, neither my lg g watch, nor the apps i use show in attached Devices and apps in fit, even though runtastic (for example) supports it.
Anyone ever figure out anything?
After the recent update, the ZenWatch Manager does not talk to my watch anymore. I found out when I was trying to change the watch face. I simply cannot upload the watch face from manager to the watch. Does anyone know how to solve this please? Thanks in advance!
What things have you tried to get this corrected? I would start by disconnecting and reconnecting the watch and/or disabling and enabling Bluetooth and see if that resolves it. Toggling Bluetooth has cleared up some connection issues for me in the past.
Go to the watch's app area and scroll down to the manager and tap it. It needs permission to the watch's USB storage.

Thanks. I had the same problem and this was the fix. Very frustrating but it's all good now.
I had installed Zenwatch manager however, I've found that I have little use for it, or perhaps I'm not using it right... I'm not sure. All the apps I've installed, does not show up on the phone's Zenwatch manager app. Does the manager only show Asus apps or something? The Zenwatch manager app shows that my watch is connected, and recognizes the battery %, so for sure it's connected. I also noticed my watch doesn't have the Zenwatch manager app as a listed app. What am I missing?
Custom Watch Faces Now Working!
FINALLY!
Couldn't find the solution anywhere, and of course, ASUS offered no help whatsoever.
I deleted FaceDesigner (not Zenwatch Manager) and then reinstalled it (fortunately, it did not delete my already made custom faces, for which I am thankful). Once I reinstalled it, my Zenwatch 2 then asked if I wanted to install it on the watch as well.
Yes, please.
I now have the ability to change to my custom Wisconsin Badgers face again! Woohoo!
Regardless of why anyone would want to do this or not, can someone please tell me how to disable the auto updates for my Moto 360 Gen2? I have all updates in the play store disabled but the phone or my watch automatically downloaded the new software update, however, I do not wish to install it (no need to discuss this please). There is a constant notification on my watch to install the update and there doesn't appear to be any way to remove or dismiss the notification.
Also - I'm not talking about the android wear app, I'm talking about the actual software for the watch.
If it helps, my phone (droid turbo) is rooted and bootloader is unlocked. It appears that the phone downloaded the watch update so maybe there's a way to find and delete the file through root explorer but where would I look and how can I prevent recurring downloads?
It appears others are asking the same question: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/android-wear/zqyesmGXkHw
